The setup is pretty nice! The mediaval ambiance is appealing. The service is excellent! The plates are really big and we recommend you the sauerkraut soup!

We tested the places speciality and soon found out that it was too much. Some meats were bit dry but it's understandable. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere!

Another TA selection, near Hilton and Marriott hotels. Very local and very good food. Many interesting choices; garlic soup not like anything we have had before, and delicious, not heavy garlic taste, just good flavor. 4 of the 6 had beef goulash, very different. Sides of 2 types of dumplings, white bread and tasty potato pancakes, with the tender cuts... More

It is 8-10 minutes leisurely walk from the old city center of Prague. You walk East-north-east from city center on Dhouha street. After you cross a major street, Revolucni, you jig to the left and it is half a block down Klimentska street on the right. (If you stay in Hotel Clement--a good hotel--then it is just down the block.)... More

My friend and I went there two times because we were so lucky to have found a charming place with tasty czech food for reasonable prices. The short waiting time for the food could be very well filled with a cold Budweiser or the fresh bread as compliment of the house.

Garlic soup, the old Czech specialty is not that easy to find. This is one place where you can eat an excellent variation on the theme. They add a generous amount of vegetables that improve the taste. They also melt cheese, in the style of French onion soup, but inside rather than on the surface. The second time there was... More

Nice restaurant, medieval-style decorated, with very tasty dishes. Normal prices, neither expensive, nor cheap. Ambient-style music(blackmore's night!), accompanies your dinner, and the service is good.

Try the special for 4 people, it was amazing! The pork fat spread was great if you like a good rillette. We went early 5 pm in order to get a seat. However, you can make reservations. Highly recommended for a different experience.

We ate lunch here one day. The food was very good. We ordered a portion mix grill for 2. It was a huge portion. The restaurant is located in the basement and was very historic furnishings. the room was decorated with swords and breastplates inscribed on the walls. Very funny. From the outside it didn't look aa much. But don't... More

Our large group had a very good medieval meal there. Garlic soup was solid but the spinach soup was outstanding. Meat platters were huge. A large variety of choices on the menu and everything we ate was quite tasty. Budvar light and dark on tap along with some tasty Moravian wines. Not touristy so a recommended spot whilst in Praha.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
