Found this little gem of a place on trip advisor when we were planning our girlie trip As a group of girls who love wine we had to visit .... eating at the wine o clock shop is like sitting in your best friends kitchen...the room is only small but very cozy , you can see the chef preparing and cooking the food . Martin our host was wonderful explained the menu and dishes he recommended between three of us The food was amazing full of flavour paired with some red wine the perfect combination. If your visiting Prague the wine o clock shop is a must we will be back and I will win next time !! Keep doing what you are doing guys it's perfect !!More

Following the advise of my wife’s boss, we chose Wine O’clock Shop for our Friday night dinner. And what a place! Intimate, cozy, only 14 seats in total. Food was great, knowledgeable staff and affordable prices.

We found this wine bar/restaurant through trip advisor, it has excellent reviews which we would like to now add to. Before you go note that you need to book ahead and make a reservation as it only seats about 12 people and they only take...CASH! On arriving we were seated at a table (was very cosy inside) and immediately was given a glass of water. We then ordered a bottle of nice Chardonnay and the waiter insisted that we tasted it first which we did, before he brought us a new bottle of the wine, which we also tasted again. We then ordered some plates of meats (Salami, hams etc) and a cheese board with a delicious accompaniment, we also ordered some bread olives and feta. The waiter then stored our wine back in the fridge and proceeded to top up our glasses up until we had finished the bottle (this was a nice touch). Overall the food and wine was excellent the whole lot cost less than 1200 Koruna. If in Prague definitely look This place up!More

An intimate restaurant with friendly and informative staff. The food is excellent and you can see it being prepared in front of you. Portions are plentiful, especially the ham and salami plate, and you are given as much excellent bread as you need! They offer...mainly Italian wines, although there are also some Czech wines offered. The wine we had was very nice, and we happily finished the bottle. The restaurant is cash only and you might want to book as the restaurant only seats 12 people! A truly excellent place to which we would be happy to return!More

Wow, wow, wow……. What a truly fabulous wine and tapas bar! Small, intimate atmosphere and truly stunning wines. But the icing on the cake was Veronica - a veritable font of all knowledge in wines and passionate in imparting her thoughts in a friendly, understated...manner. We ordered our food and let Veronika recommend pairing wines for each dish. Spot on each time! I would truly recommend a visit here when you’re in Praha….. you will be well looked after!More

I visited Wine o'clock back in 2018 with work colleagues and recall having a nice time so when work sent me back to Prague some four years later, I decided to give it another go moreso since it was a breezy five minute walk from...my hotel. I booked in advance and arrived at 6pm to an empty restaurant (they open at 4pm and I believe are closed on Sunday & Monday). My greeting was cordial and I decided to have a glass of wine before deciding on what to eat. Fifteen minutes later I ordered Italian meatballs but was torn on what else to order. The staff member kindly advised me that I can decide later but that it takes approximately 15 minutes to heat or prepare each dish. The place filled up quickly and a couple were fortunate enough to be accommodated without booking, otherwise all others had booked. I did not see people pass by later so I guess it was a quiet night or still quite early. My second tapa was the roast chicken with stuffing and it was nice. All the food is prepared and heated up but that goes for the majority of restaurants. The food was nice but nothing wowed me. It was just well prepared Italian food. In my opinion as long as it is fresh (and it was) its not too taxing to do a caprese salad, cheese or cold meat plate, feta wrapped in prosciutto, baked goats cheese with honey etc. It is tiny with seats for 12 people, 6 at the bar where you can watch food being prepared. I recommend this place if you really like wine because most of the food on their menu, you could find at a number of decent Italian restaurants around the city. I believe what sets this place apart is its intimacy. If you tire of Czech duck, dumplings and beer restaurants then this will be a welcome break. With everyone eating by candlelight in an intimate setting, watching tomatoes being chopped in front of you and enjoying some great wine, it really is something else and feels like you are in someone's house having a dinner party. I was a solo customer and did not feel intimidated in the slightest by that and would encourage solo diners not to be put off despite other reviewers saying its for couples, its not and the tapas are not huge. I paid 1018 koruna (£36.00 UK) for 2 tapas, bread and two glasses of red I had space to try their desert but decided to move on somewhere else for a late night tipple or nibble. The background music was my kinda music; Break out by Swing out Sister, There's something about you by Level 42, Rosanna by Toto. Atmosphere aside, I could have stayed all night listening to it.More

We visited on our first night in Prague, the service was incredible, from wine recommendations and tasting, the food was also the best quality we had on our trip. Would highly recommend booking in advance as walk ins were being turned away. We emailed Veronika...prior to our visit to book, who was prompt to respond, we also requested to have a seat at the bar which she happy accommodated to.More

We absolutely loved Wine O’Clock. They have these small wonderful plated dishes of deliciousness. We highly recommend the aubergine caviar. You can order a selection of these small plates and try different types of wines which is a perfect way to spend an evening. The...services was impeccable. We finished our meal with homemade limoncello. Very vegetarian friendly and a couple of vegan dishes are available. You do need to reserve because they have a small number of seats and it’s exceedingly popular. This is a romantic couples place and not a family with kids choiceMore
