Had an incredibly special meal here celebrating my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. Our waiter (we didn’t get his name unfortunately, but was working 27/01) was so accommodating, friendly and went the extra mile. We had a gorgeous table under the original 16th century bell, complimentary champagne and starter, as well as a congratulatory card and candle in our dessert. The mains are on the expensive end of the spectrum, but the food is delicious, and you get much bigger portions than any michelin starred restaurants. We had the venison which was cooked to perfection, and the salmon, which was large and filling The atmos is cosy and romantic, and the tower itself is steeped in history. 11/10 recommend.

If you are looking for a unique, romantic setting with impeccable service and good authentic czech food, look no further. We booked Zvonice prior to our trip, explaining it was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were given a perfect table on the 8th floor. It had stunning views, perfect lighting, felt very private and romantic. We were greeted with a card on our table congratulating us on our special day, which was a lovely touch, followed by a complimentary amuse bouche. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Everything we ordered was high quality, well cooked, and delicious. Admittedly this is not a cheap restaurant, but its clear on the website menu what the prices are. I think previous reviewers saying it did not represent good value are missing the point that this is a small restaurant, with very limited covers available per sitting, so of course they need to charge more to be profitable. Its a truly unique and beautiful building that must have had high set up costs and will be costly to maintain. You aren't just paying for the food, you are paying for experienced staff and a unique and exclusive experience. My only comment would be that the cheapest bottle of red on the wine list was a rather extortionate £53, which is too high in my opinion. We therefore stuck to soft drinks and beer! Payment in cash gave a welcome 20% discount. It's a special meal that will stick in my memory for years to come and I would go again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the two lovely staff who served us that evening, we left feeling relaxed, full of good food, and well looked after.

This place might be my favourite dining experience (maybe ever)? Starting from my email interactions before going, they replied to emails fast and when I mentioned it was my friends birthday they offered us a table with a castle view and for my friends name so they could write her a birthday card, that’s so thoughtful! The food was genuinely so nice, we even had a little prawn snack to start with as a free token from the chef. The service was so personal and professional. The ambience was lovely, no loud music, no gimmicks, it felt like everyone in there was almost whispering (sounds weird, but it was all so calming and intimate). I can’t exaggerate how much I recommend this place. I’m so grateful to have been here!

We went with experienced traveler friends to this restaurant. It was rated highly with above average pricing so we believed it would offer great food, great service and wine list that was higher but not ridiculously priced. We were very very wrong. The service was really slow (we were seated for 25 minutes before a waiter approached our table) and he had a surly attitude that never got better. Reminded me of an overpriced French restaurant waiter in Paris. The meals are terribly overpriced for the quality as was the overpriced wine selection. Atmosphere of the place is mediocre and not that special even though it’s in an old tower. There are many other restaurants that offer better food, better wine selection and don’t have pretentious waiters. They offer a discount if you pay cash but it’s still not worth it. They could do much better.

This should have been a five star review. We dined here Christmas Eve with their "Traditional Bohemian" menu. Lovely setting and ambiance. Excellent food, friendly staff. Booked via their website, and 4,000czk deposit paid direct to the owner. Website states that "Big Discount cash payment for CZK or Eur or USD" (not for lunch menu) So at the end of a lovely evening, I try to pay the balance (9,300czk) in cash, but the waiter refuses this and says the cash option "is not valid tonight....no exceptions" Even after explaining that the website does not say this, he will not be moved...and even hints that he is looking for a tip! This was a very expensive (for what it was) meal, and to not honour their "Big Discount" was just dishonest. I have contacted the owner by email, but have received no reply (as expected)

The restaurant is divided between the 7th and 8th floors of a tower and is therefore very suggestive. Pretty good local food, plentiful dishes, prices a little high, but justified given the location. However, there were two drawbacks that affected our overall rating. First of all, although the boy on the ground floor at the reception had told us that the restaurant was fully booked (before knowing that we had booked via email), during the entire evening the only occupied tables were 2 including ours. In fact, there there was only one waiter for the entire floor. This created a calmer atmosphere, but raised questions about the management of reservations. Also, at the time of payment, there was a discrepancy. We had received an email warning at the time of booking about a 20% discount if we paid in cash, but by paying in euros, not having taken the local currency, we paid with a higher exchange rate, reducing the actual discount to 10%. %. This situation was disappointing and affected our final perception of the evening. Despite these inconveniences, we appreciate the quality of the food and service offered in the room. However, it would be advisable to improve booking management and ensure clarity in the calculation of discounts to prevent tourists from feeling cheated.

This dining establishment in Prague had a strong presence on the recommended list, so we decided to make a dinner reservation there. Based on our experience at the restaurant, we found the atmosphere to be pleasant, and the staff were very attentive and service-oriented. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the food, which, despite the high prices, was rather average in quality. Appetizers started at a minimum of 25 euros, and main courses were not available for less than 50 euros, which we believed to be a significant overpricing in relation to the quality of the meals. The prices for beverages were also quite high, with minimum prices of 150 euros for a bottle of wine and 8 euros for a 0.33-liter beer. This made the total cost of the meal significantly higher than what we had expected. While we appreciated the excellent service and ambiance, we couldn't help but feel that this place was a bit too expensive for what it delivered in terms of food and drinks.

We had a table booked for my wifes 50th. They told me in advance they would prepare a dessert and sing happy birthday to her on the night. On the night of our meal we were seated in quite an uncomfortable tight spot near the actual bell in the tower with the shutters to our left and not much room to move or eat and low beams above us. We arrived at 7.30pm and did not get our meal until 8.40pm. Considering they knew weeks in advance and told us they would have a dessert prepared, we were not served it until 9.50pm. Groups of 4 and 5 had come in after us, eaten 3 courses and left before we even got our dessert. I think we actually left the restaurant around 11pm. We payed nearly £150.00 for 2 courses , 1 beer and half a bottle of wine. Dont get me wrong the food was delicious but the service for what we payed was bad. We had previously eaten at another hotel restaurant for a 3rd of the price for equally nice food but far better service.

Family dinner, booked at 7.30pm with confirmation email and in any case we had to question why they said the reservation was for 8.00pm. Sitting at the table, with the room almost empty, we waited half an hour before they came to take the order and then about a further hour and a half for the dishes to arrive. Good quality dishes but absolutely not commensurate with the cost. Absolutely not going back. In Prega there are many places where you can eat well and spend half the price. I'm sorry but for me the opinion is negative.

The food is where the disappointment truly sets in. Despite the fancy descriptions on the menu, what arrives at your table is far from haute cuisine. The prices are exorbitant, especially considering the poor quality of the food. It's a blatant attempt to exploit tourists who may not be familiar with local dining standards. You end up paying a premium for what is essentially mediocre food. Don't fall for this overpriced scam.

We took roe dishes and boar-perfect roast, the serving is beautiful, the pâté of meat with grilled almond crumbs-no words!!! Recommend who has a very nice and delicious evening☺️

We were drawn to Restaurant Zvonice by its fantastic location and made sure to book a reservation ahead of our trip. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken by the restaurant's stunning ambiance, which promised an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant sits in a unique and charming setting, which added a lot of expectations to our visit. However, while the ambiance delivered, the pricing of the menu items gave us pause. We found the menus to be considerably overpriced, which set a high bar for the quality and execution of the meal. On a positive note, the quality of the meat served was undeniable. It was clear that high-quality ingredients were used, and the preparation of the meat itself was commendable. However, the execution of other elements on the plate, such as the asparagus, was disappointing. The temperature and preparation of these sides did not meet the standard set by the main dish, detracting significantly from the overall dining experience. In reflection, while the ambiance of Restaurant Zvonice and the quality of certain ingredients were highlights, the value proposition was lacking. The disparity between price and quality, especially regarding the preparation and presentation of the entire meal, left us feeling that the price-quality ratio was not balanced.

We were looking for a romantic restaurant and we were right here. Zvonice means bell tower and here is also the name program. There are already countless photos on the platform, just as cuddly it looks. Fortunately, they also have air conditioning and we could eat relaxed in the tower at 30 degrees outside temperature. I would strongly recommend a Reservation, there are only a few tables. The kitchen is really inventive and offers beautiful variations of Czech cuisine. Starters and desserts an eye-catcher. We already had a super nice conversation at the Reservation and also the staff on site was cheerful and accommodating. We recommend the Zvonice for a romantic date in a cozy location. Many thanks to the team for the nice evening!

We absolutely love everything from this place: from the foods, drinks, service, ambiance, and stunning interior.. We had one of the best trout fish ever and couldnt get enough with the complimentary shrimp starter.. Every single dishes we had is above and beyond our expectation - its so well balance, not over powering but yet not bland as well.. And the service is extra ordinary.. Yahim and another gentleman (I forgot his name) were helping us and I love how they gave recommendations based on our preferrence.. And at the end, they gave us a surprise which was an unforgettable little tour to the top of the tower.. Above all, the price is surprisingly very affordable. You might have to spent at least a good $800 for this kind of dining experiene in LA for 2 persons.. And this place charge less than 1/3 of what you will pay in LA.. Definitely a must place to go!!!

The novelty location - a cramped space at the top of one of Prague's old bell towers - is used to justify sky high prices. The restaurant is spread over two floors intersected with wooden beams. There are no views from the tables. The menu is the size and weight of a small rodent. The food comes up from the bowels of the tower on a dumb waiter. It was luke warm and it took two hours to serve two drab, overpriced courses. The wine cost 60 euros and yet was so bad we couldn't finish it. An over-priced tourist trap aimed at customers who won't return.

Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city.
