Salvia is a beautiful old fashioned cafe with fantastic views of the river and the national theatre. The drinks are slightly more than other lovely cafes nearby but only by a few krowns. However the food is now abysmal. It seems to suffer from being a tourist place so the standards are so much lower. I've lived here for over... More

We had jumped the tram into the Old Town across Legions bridge and this huge imposing cafe is across the road so we thought we would go in here for a nice coffee. The cafe is superb with old style elegance and superb furnishings and decor, just a lovely place to enjoy a nice coffee. A very pleasant member of staff... More

We stopped by for champagne and cake. The selection of cakes was amazing. You order by cake number after looking in the display. Of course we had to share two to make sure they were both good! Good value too.

This restaurant is situated very central next to the water and the national theatre. The interior is very nice and the waiters were very friendly. The food was good as well. I ordered a salad with avocado, shrimps and grapes and had a nice vanilla icecream with hot raspberries

Popped in for a coffee and what a gem of a cafe it is. The interior, the view, just everything about the place is really nice, the staff were really nice and the price wasn't bad either.. Great cafe, nice coffee... If you go, enjoy....

One of the most terrible moments on my trip to Prague was when the waitress in this cafe demanded a tip from us after what was probably the worst service on this side of the Atlantic. First she tried to push several times a desert neither of us want. We had to say no multiple times. The waitress did not... More

We have ordered two breakfasts and there were sooooo many plates with different quality food that they hardly fitted to our table :) Food was good and there were lots of it. Service was very good. Do recommend. They have air conditioning which is actual in hot days. The only thing - it's allowed to smoke inside, so check your... More

We ate twice at Slavia while in Prague. Once for lunch on our first day and then again for dinner on our last. Crispy Schnitzels, Delicious Goulash - and Roast Duck with Sweet Red Cabbage that was to die for. We ordered it all twice!!! Desserts were good too and can't beat the value. Duck at lunch was approximately $8.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
