The cafe made a special impression late in the evening. It looks very elegant, aesthetic and atmospheric, both from the outside and from the inside. The most impressive thing was the pleasant staff, who were very caring, happy to give advice and extremely polite. The...place itself is very atmospheric, we had the opportunity to sit by the window with a view of the National Theater at night, which made quite an impression, considering the live music in the cafe. Desserts are simply wonderful. Very tasty and beautiful.More

This restaurant has a great view across the river if you get the right table. The atmosphere and cooking were good, and the service very good. The applestrudel and chicken schnitzel were very good.

The hotel we were staying at had this restaurant as an option for breakfast as they were refurbishing, and not offering breakfast. It was the most expensive option of the ones given, and definitely the worst. The location is nice however, overlooking the river. The...food was not good and the presentation was appalling. The scrambled eggs looked entirely unappetising - pale, sort of grey, runny consistency and tasted slimy. They were meant to be served with buttered brioche. They came with dry and dried out brioche. I asked for butter, which eventually came, and was added as an extra charge on the bill! I wouldn't recommend. Go to Bistro by Antonio Sandev instead, which is nearby and excellent.More

Some locals recommend this place. We were not disappointed. An excellent brunch. With good views from a characterful building. Not the cheapest . More high end. But well worth it in my opinion.

I couldn't decide which cake to order so I ordered two cakes. I loved them both and was not disappointed. I didn't try the salty dishes, but the cakes and refreshments where excellent . You have to wait to be seated at the table.

If there's one cafe bar I know I'm going to visit on any holiday I take to Prague its Cafe Slavia. One of the most famous cafe's in Prague situated in the former Lazansky Palace, interior is superb, it's opulent, high ceilings ,beautiful serving bar,...fantastic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar ,its just a really good place to unwind in. We were here on a Tuesday early afternoon, we were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we ordered a beer each, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and with the characteristic big foamy head so beloved by the Czech's, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular cafe bar. My beer was really good, a local pilsner, golden, hoppy and very easy to drink indeed especially when served freezing cold as in this cafe bar,it was just so good being in Cafe Slavia and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Cafe Slavia we had a great time. Cafe Slavia is easy to locate along Smetanovo Nabrezi. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 9am. A wonderful cafe bar, one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area near the National Theatre.More

We had the best apple strudel here (which says a lot about this cafe in a city that is awash with excellent apple strudel). Coffee was good, too, as were the cocktails we decided to treat ourselves to afterwards. One of the best things was...probably the view of the river. Typical old-fashioned coffee house atmosphere. Will definitely be back when next in Prague. Service a little on the slow side, though.More

This is a very nice place to have brunch, right by the river . So the view is very nice and the service. They speak also English and they are fast , polite and they can smile too. Reachable by public transport. They have small...tables and also bigger booths that can fit bigger groups. We were 6 and we made a reservation previously. The food was tasty. Very good find.More

Great brunch spot! Very popular but we were able to get a table right away around 11am. We tried the eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes, salad, and croque Madame. The croque Madame sauce was thick but my friends ate all of theirs. The Benedict and pancakes...were excellent. Not a lot of gluten free options. We didn’t try the pastries but they looked incredible.More

My favourite place in Prague! Can't get enough of their beef tartar and the piano every day after 4 pm. Is like traveling in time to the 20s. Amazing service every time I go there. Only the person that seats you could be a bit...more friendly. but aside from that, excellent service. Hope to come back one day!More

Not at all during the day. I had the feeling that it might be a bit smarter in the evening, but certainly not over the top - smart casual perhaps.
