Went there with an 8 & 10 year old, a vegetarian & Grandparents. Everyone found something to their liking. The ambience inside was very cool with a medieval mural on the wall. It’s on the other side of the river from Old Town which is...nice since it’s not as crowded. Would highly recommend!More

The restaurant doesn’t look any different to many others from the outside, but it’s lovely inside and best of all… we experienced the best food we’ve had in Prague - the “svickova” is amazing, I’d been recommended it as a very good local dish and...it was excellent here. My wife had butter roasted chicken which was also very good. The only reason I’ve given only 4 stars is because whilst the waiting staff were lovely, they were distracted by ice hockey on the tv the evening we visited (Czechs very passionate about this sport apparently) which meant we were a little neglected (took a while to order dessert & we didn’t bother waiting for a 2nd bottle of water). We would definitely return here!More

A nicely decorated place tucked in underneath the castle compound. We visited with a walking tour and although the food was nice we had a horrible time as the staff were incredibly stressed, rude and unfriendly. One staff member was so aggressive to our poor...tour guide. A member of our group had wandered off and the waitress came over to our table with the plate meant for the missing tourist and slammed it down on our table while saying something nasty to our guide. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out. Our guide was also approached by another staff member and told to be quiet. Now the restaurant was empty at this time apart from our group who took up 5 tables in total so we were not being a nuisance to anyone. Food okay and venue very nice and atmospheric but the nastiness of the staff left us all with a bad taste in our mouths.More

Four different plates ordered and all were delicious! The portions were huge. The servers were kind and welcoming. They made sure to talk and make suggestions for other experiences in town.

Having searched most restaurants in this area for a vegetarian meal the only option appeared to be fried cheese and fries. The restaurant was spacious and visible clean. The food was brought quickly and the portion size was good. The fried cheese did not appear...to be homemade as it was in perfectly breadcrumbed triangles. The food was hot and the tartar sauce made a nice addition. A little expensive for frozen cheese and fries. A little more creativity to offer vegetations some local cuisine would be nice there has to be more on offer than pigs knees!More

We had the luxury of staying in the apartments above, so this was great to have on our doorstep! The sausages were delicious and the beetroot salad is the best we have ever had.

We ate here Christmas Day and two other evenings during our stay in Prague. Everyone about this restaurant was perfect - quality of food, range of drinks, price, location and staff. The homemade varieties of lemonade were great and so refreshing. Service was so friendly...and very quick. Christmas Day was perfect and completely stress free. This was our favourite restaurant in Prague.More

I have eaten here three times this week as I have enjoyed the quality and quantity of food offered and have no wish to be disappointed elsewhere. I have tried various local dishes. The meat has always been tender and plentiful and the accompaniments delicious....The staff are attentive and even when they were clearly busy made time and space for me to have a good table for my use as a single traveller. All to often a single traveller gets hived off into a dark corner but here I have been given the same consideration as others. When it is clearly busy things can take a little time to arrive but that is because it is cooked to order. The beer was great. A very pleasant experience well worth the extra few steps up the hill.More

We first stumbled across this restaurant when walking to the castle. There are several cafes/restaurants along the street but this one caught our eye. We had the beer and beef goulash and the roast duck and both were wonderful, we also had the beer of...the month, which was very nice and refreshing. All of the staff are wonderful and polite and as we were sat outside, the views were also lovely.More

One of our favorite meals on our trip. Delicious, traditional food with great service at a reasonable price. Family friendly with a location that was similarly exceptional. We dined twice during our trip and would highly recommend this excellent dining experience.
