Unless you want rude service and rude looks thrown at you by the staff then this is the place to go! Staff clearly wasnt happy when we entered the restaurant as a quite a large party. The staff clearly need some training on customer service...as they have none! We felt so unwelcome that we didnt even sit down, we quickly left the premises and went to a lovely little restaurant across the road who were more then happy to accommodate us and their food was fantastic.More

Good location. Very traditional pivnice, local cuisine, nice athmosphere. Service was friendly and very local. Good value for money, I’ll visit again!

Been here mant times and always excellent but this time first they loose my booking and don't seem to care, i then manage to find a table, without any help. The menu has changed and is about 30% shorter, and so has some of the...beer.even then they did not have what i wanted to order. Some new staff now, I'm thinking maybe different owners.More

Amazing local cuisine for affordable prices and mostly locals come here. They don't have menu in English which is not a problem because friendly and helpful staff speaks English. I recommend ordering garlic soup and venison with cream and cranberry sauce and karlovarskym knedlikem, as...well as beer or kofola if you don't drink alcohol. Only downside is that they don't accept cardsMore

30 degrees in August, we went for lunch, there was no room and no aircon, THEY DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH NOR DO NOT HAVE ENGLISH MENU, we asked them if they had any English menu and they told us: ‘there is no English menu, just...check yourself!’ 😡 Of course, we didn’t have lunch.More

Two of us (one Czech) wanted local cuisine with good food and no (twanky) frills. This ticked the boxes. A string of Czechs and Slovaks mooched through ordering lunch, just beers or snacks. All seemingly just off a train or about to catch one -...the restaurant is close to the main railway station. Very few (if any) tourists. Decor very local, service very local and ditto food. All very acceptable and much enjoyed. No music, didn't check the loos and not worried about parking (railway close). English spoken. tourists should seriously consider going. Excellent pork with dumplings and pancakes as a sweet. You'll recognise them all on the menu. Highly affordable. Two courses and wine (3 big glasses) plus coffee and (not automatically added on) tip, around some Kc 700 for two. Do visit. Very much recommended.More

The food is delicious (best goulash ever!), staff is friendly and atmosphere just great! This place is very close to the city center, but not a 'tourist place', more like local one.

We went to this restaurant for lunch. While getting in, the waiter avoided us intentionally, bowing his head towards the floor as we passed by him. We waited for quite a long time to order and we really had to try to catch the waiter...every time we wanted to order some more beer or so. However, the most important thing was the bad quality of food. I ordered a mexican burger which should have been served with bacon, jalapenos and without onion. I got it with onion, without bacon and jalapenos. Instead of jalapenos, there was chilli, not even fresh one. Instead of bacon I got there a few little pieces of smoked meat. The bun was very dry and the salad was obviously old- it had brown sides of the leafs. I could not even eat it, it was disgusting. See the photos attached. My friends had some traditional czech cuisine dishes. Two were ok with their meals, one friend could not finish her meat as it was not possible to chew it. This place is really one to avoid! There are plenty of good restaurants in Prague and this ain´t one of them.More

Our first stop in Prague after arriving at the station. We waited for 5-10 mins for a table; it was worth the wait! Beers came quickly, and the goulash was served in good quantities! Very tasty and just what we needed. It felt like an...authentic setting for our first meal in Prague.More

Traditional Czech bar/restaurant only a few minutes walk off the main tourist trap at Wenceslas Square. The food was very well priced, and very tasty, particularly the goulash with dumplings and the chilli and tomato pasta. Beer was also cheap. This was a really great...find, local food and drink at a fraction of the price of places in tourist areas.More
