Kavarna Kocici - original CatCafé in Prague - isn´t hard to find. It is located right in the centre of one of the Pragues most beautiful parts - Karlin. This small family place with nine fluffy cats is a place where you will always feel welcome and comfortable. We prepare coffee from 100% arabica coffee Doubleshot which is roasted in Czech republic, and serve vegan, raw and gluten free food. We are looking to see you in Kavarna Kocici!

After seeing the advertisement in a tourist brochure we decided to have brunch with the cats. It is a very relaxing ambience and the cats wander around and come up to you or sit nearby. We sat on a sofa and Lizzie approached us and looked in our water and wine glasses, after trying to taste a cappuccino at the next table! It would be helpful if the staff pointed out the rules in the booklet as they give you the menu, as we read the rules towards the end of our stay. We ordered pumpkin quiche, wine, water and chocolate cheesecake which was excellent. The cafe is located about two blocks behind the Town Hall Astronomical Clock and near an outdoor market.

Highly recommend for cat lovers! Delicious food and drink here, and not to mention, the most hilarious adorable cats ever and lovely helpful staff. We had the snickers hot chocolate which was tasty and Camembert cheese and bread to dip in. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Prague.

Its a wonderful and relaxing place with nine very calm and friendly cats, you could play with or pet them. The Cafe at all is a very beautyful and lovely place. All food is vegetraian or vegan, also alternative milks like oat or almond are possible to get. Best thing is, the Cafe is very near the Center and prices are super fair. The staff is very friendly, so I would definetly suggest a visit.

I've been twice in this place with my toddler, the first one we were welcomed by a nice waitress and it was a really pleasant time, we caressed the kittens and we loved it (I add a pic of our first time in the place). However the second one, a blonde waitress made us feel really uncomfortable, from the moment we stepped on the place and she saw my daughter, she looked us down, I was every time with my baby, she only gets a bit enthusiastic, I think is normal considering her age, the waitress looked us in an unfriendly way again when I asked my baby to call the kittens in a more softly way, we went downstairs to play with the cat toys and the waitress was constantly checking what we were doing, my husband asked me to go bc it felt like a harassment being observed that way. If they don't trust families with babies they should just make a rule that forbids small children instead of taking our money and letting us in in such a hostile way.

It's lucky my nut allergy isn't severe, because when I ordered an iced coffee with chocolate iceceam off the menu, nothing mentioned the chocolate iceceam was packed with nuts. I'd already had a couple of mouthfuls before I realised and when I asked the waitress if there were nuts in it she plainly stated "yes, in the chocolate iceceam" and when I said I was allergic to nuts she just pointed at my other half and said "can't he drink it" despite him already having a drink of his own. I pointed out the fact there's nothing on the menu to state it contains nuts and it still seemed to be my fault???
Customer service is beyond shocking, cats are adorable, but not enough to make up for being hot and itchy!

We visited the cat café as a family with two children. When we entered the café, the employee told us that there were only tables for two people. We were not given any other options. I asked if we could wait until a table became available and shortly afterwards two people stood up and offered us their table. We thanked her and sat down. Another employee then came over to us and cleared the dishes of the guests who were sitting at the table in front of us. She was visibly dissatisfied and said in a harsh tone "We did not seat you". There were no other people waiting in front of or behind us, but it was obviously not right of us to have sat down straight away. Or are children not welcome? I tried to remain friendly and apologized. I also asked if we should sit somewhere else. All I got was a dismissive smile. I would have preferred to leave. But since our children were so looking forward to the cat café, I didn't want to just leave again. Although it would have been appropriate! I have never felt so unwelcome and rejected in a café! Extremely unfriendly! It's a shame that such a lovely café is run by such unfriendly waitresses. The cats and the coffee were good, but all of that was undermined by the unpleasant and unfriendly behavior of the waitresses. What a shame!!!

Nice Cat cafe in the center of Prague; great place to relax for a while in the company of the cats. The atmosphere is relaxing, with diffused lights and sofas to sit on. Clean and tidy place, no cat smell. There are two rooms on the ground floor and one in the basement; there aren't many places. Therefore recommended, although the costs of the drinks are quite expensive (around 21 euros for two herbal teas and two slices of cake), but no one rushes you and you can stay as long as you want. The herbal teas are good and the cakes are also good in generous portions.

Kavárna Kočiči was a wonderful experience! The 39 Kč entry fee was very affordable and goes to a great cause. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The menus are written in both Czech and English. They also provide a “Cat Book” with descriptions of each cat, which is also written in both Czech and English. Be sure to make a reservation in advance. This was a great find and I am so glad I got to visit!

What better way to relax than to drink coffee surrounded by cats? This is exactly the concept of this café.
There is a nice little group of cats, and a nice assortment of pastries and coffee. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and respect for cats is not left out. On each table is the snacks and drinks card, and the cat book, with the presentation of each cat and the rules to be followed.

Lovely little cafe with very kind staff. I got a hot chocolate and it was amazing. The cats were friendly and would come up to you and want clapped and even sit on your knee. It is a very quiet and relaxing place to sit and forget about any worries.

Nice slightly hidden cafe in Prague. We had coffee, cakes and some feline company. When we have been there the place quite busy, so we had to wait a moment for drinks but the it was all fine when it came. One of a cat decided to help himself to whipped cream from coffee but I was happy to share.

Great cat cafe and cats are really well looked after. The food and drink are really nice.
I had to give 4 stars as one of the staff served us hot ginger tea on a tray and had a cat on her shoulder who was clearly trying to get off and the thought of that kitty falling on to scolding hot water terrified myself as it almost did. I thought it was rather unintelligent/stupid whatever you want to call it that whilst carrying hot drinks to have a cat on your shoulder especially when it wants to get off. Thankfully all was ok but I dread to think if the cat had jumped onto the hot drinks what injury it could have caused to the poor cat and the member of staff.
However after this event, we went in to have a relaxing hour and half. It is best to book before visiting as tables do get reserved and it is very popular. Very nice decor and excellent facilities for the kitties and relaxing music.
There are rules to abide by which are in a book on the table and also a description about all the cats that live there.
We visited twice in one week as it is enjoyable especially if you are a cat lover.
Definitely worth a visit or two whilst staying in the city centre.

Excellent soups in particular. Try pumpkin and sweet potato. The lentil one is also very tasty. The home made lemonade is also excellent, raspberry recommended. Then if you like the relaxed environments of cat cafes you are at home.

I LOVED this place so much, I went twice in one day! The cafe is cosy, the prices are cheap and the cats are beautiful. The staff are very friendly, helpful and clearly love the cats. Barney is (in my opinion!) the star of the show 😁

Wouldn’t recommend going there unless you have an reservation. Well thats not the reason I gave this 2 stars, we heard the staff talk sh*t about us, because we sat on a place that was already reserved. Note that there was no paper or sign that it was reserved. One last thing i would like to point out: the smell inside was terrible.
