I went there with my family after reading the promising reviews and honestly, it was worth it! The personnel was so welcoming and nice, they were also very observant and spoke good English. We ordered dark Krusovice beer which was not watered down and therefore very well appreciated by us. We also ordered the goulash soup in a bread loaf, pork ribs and roasted duck with bread dumplings. The portions of the dishes were just perfect for the price and very delicious. We were delighted by the atmosphere and the whole experience all together. Additionally, the WC was also clean and obviously disinfected.
I definitely recommend this restaurant for the full Prague experience!

This place is amazing. I had first stopped here on a beer culture tour and accidentally stumbled across it again so decided to stop in for dinner. There was live music playing in the background which added to the ambiance. I ordered the pork knuckle and the Krusovice dark lager (a MUST try in Prague). The portion of food was very delicious and the portion was generous. Friendly staff and great atmosphere

We went here two times: once for lunch & once for dinner. It’s very delicious & cheap!!
It’s only €1,90 for a half liter of beer. The first time we ate a schnitzel and a pasta with tomatoes.
The other time we ate the porked ribs and the salmon with potato fries & vegetables. The salmon was really delicious and highly recommended!
The staff is also very kind.

A pleasant discovery in the heart of Prague!
Excellent food quality: excellent all courses, in a menu full of typical dishes but also of further proposals, all at honest prices.
When asked to replace one side dish with another, they accepted without hesitation, demonstrating professionalism and availability. An appreciation also to the local, certainly very particular and unique, as well as a stone's throw from the center.
See you next time!

U Spirku is only a 3 minute walk from the astronomical clock on a quiet street. The interiors is traditional Czech. Their prices are much lower than in the square and much better food. Their duck is delicious and comes with purple cabbage and dumplings. The staff is nice and food arrived very fast. I highly recommend them.

During our stay in Prague we had the pleasure of trying this typical restaurant several times near the center of the old town.
The food is absolutely outstanding! We tried more dishes .. including Gulash and potato dumplings .. Dishes rich in flavor with very generous portions.
The location is absolutely typical and authentic.
A special point of merit goes to the staff .. very kind and always very helpful!
If you are in Prague you can not miss this restaurant.

Restaurant discovered by chance while visiting Prague. Not far from the Clock Tower, but located in a decentralized and quiet position. We are welcomed with warmth and courtesy, in a warm and enveloping environment, intrigued by the presence of very particular chandeliers. The dinner was truly exquisite, the shank simply exceeded all expectations, and the potato gnocchi truly exquisite. Not to mention the typical sweets, authentic goodness! Impeccable and friendly service. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended

Mediocre food, terrible staff, especially the waitress with brown hair, grumpy and unpleasant. He laughed with his male colleague every time we asked for something more. They didn't even bring bread even though we asked them several times. Never again in that place.

Recommended by our guide, we had lunch in this typical Czech inn. Despite being a stone's throw from the clock square, the place is a little out of the way and therefore not very touristy. We enjoyed the famous goulash served in bread crust, an excellent chicken schnitzel with vegetables and a fantastic warm strudel accompanied by whipped cream. The beer was also very good, fast service and friendly staff, but the icing on the cake was the final bill... accustomed to Italy I can say that we spent very little. Definitely recommended!

Great spot for traditional Czech food, close to the Astro clock and just off the Old Town Square. The three of us had goulash, duck, and pork fillet, and all was very tasty and excellent portions. Had apple strudel for dessert, and it surpassed several had previously last week in Germany. Staff was responsive, courteous, and spoke some English. Definitely will visit again!

Excellent choice if you want to taste local cuisine. The only black spot is that you may need to wait a little. For a normal service it may take about 45 minutes. But you are on vacation and waiting a bit may increase your appetite! Noteworthy the good prices.

We wanted to try some traditional Czech goulash in a bread bowl so opted to give this place a try! It didn’t disappoint. Nice service, nice food. I know it’s next to a really popular place, but you should give these guys a try, we enjoyed everything we had, including the homemade raspberry lemonade!

My friend and I ordered fried cheese as a starter and then a pork and a chicken schnitzel.
The cheese starter came with fries witch meant we weren‘t able to eat all of them, since we got more with the schnitzel (which were rather small but thicker).
The staff was a bit stressed but very friendly. The place itself had good vibes and felt traditional.

Recommended by our Italian guide we went for both lunch and dinner in this typical restaurant. The restaurant is located exactly behind the clock tower, therefore in the center but away from the chaos of tourists (in fact, in addition to tourists, many "locals" frequent it). We tried the Goulash (which is served inside a loaf that acts as a bowl), and a couple of vegetarian dishes (grilled courgettes with tofu and salad with grilled halloumi). All accompanied by the excellent and very cheap local beer (Pilsner Urquell). The bill was under 40 euros for 3 people!

A very good time in this restaurant with historical decoration located in the small alleys adjoining the old town square. Typical Czech dishes are delicious and no unpleasant surprises at the time of the check-in. Special mention for Moravian Chardonnay, to test!
