A reference in fine Czech pastry. For finesse, the word is perhaps a little exaggerated (in comparison with other countries). Whatever it is, we are already at a really good level for lovers of sweets.
Several addresses in town, each tea rooms with most often a small play area for children.
Lots of choice in the window, everything is beautiful for the eyes and delicious for the taste buds.
Prices high enough for locals but the quality is there.
A must for lovers of sweets.

I visited Erhartova Cukrarna twice during my May 2019 visit in Prague. It is located on Milady Horákové Street, couple of blocks from Letenske Namesti tram stop.
They have delicious cakes, pastries and cookies. The shortbread cookies were my absolute favourite.
I first bought a box of them to give as a gift to my friend in Prague, and then went back a week later, to get another box of shortbread cookies to take home to Canada.
My family loved them, because the cookies are very flavourful, tender, and not too sweet.
Their espresso coffee is very good.
The customer service is top notch.

I had to try some of there sweets. They have a huge variety of sweets and pastries, so beautiful and colorful and for each taste. They have a couple tables inside, so you can have a nice cup of coffee and try some of there delicious and artsy sweets. It is self-service.

Excellent patisserie, real Czechs sweeties. They only accept cash. Prices are worthy. We just tried sweets, but the coffee shop sells other kind of food.

Today we were in the area and decided to stop at this cafe, since my girlfriend said vetrnik was very good, so we gave it a try.
We ordered one vetrnik and an Erhart cake slice.
They tasted quite good, although the cake was just too sweet and missed something in my opinion, since the sponge was a bit dry and flavorwise nothing to be remembered.
The place is ok overall, and if nearby I would stop again. Prices were fair for some goods, for others simply way too expensive.

This shop is an eden for all chocoholics, we stop by on the way from the castle, got a chocolat cake and coffee. The cake was like a heaven. Staff was smiling and prices are very very low. Good job over there

We took a long walk to get to this place and it totally worth it! The cakes are very good and fresh, the coffee also very good. They were serving at least 20 types of cakes/pastries/cookies... most of them seemed traditional czech. I had the laskonka, my husband had the chocolate marzipan dessert. We loved it so much that we bought 2 more venecek for takeaway and we loved that as well.
They have two "cukrana"s and we were at the one in Letna. It was a smaller place and I was expecting a traditional design but found something rather 1990-s design; so maybe one should check the other one. The staff were friendly, the toilet clean.
I strongly recomend this place!
Unfortunatly I dont have pictures of the place because we were so eager to taste the cakes and they were so good that we forget to take photos. However here is my venecek on train to Budapest ;)

One of the old "cukrarnas" (sweet shops) in Prague, offering high quality cakes, cookies, ice cream and coffee.
Lovely, old fashioned place to go for a coffee and a snack.

This is the most dangerous place in Prague for cake lovers. If you really want get fat dont allocate your flat close to this place, because you will never leave this place :-))) I simply love it. Tarlettka with honey, chocolate and cherry - omg, love it. They have also one same cafe on Vinohradska street :-) If you want made somebody happy with sweets, just go there, they can even make cake for your birthday :-) Enjoy...:-)

They do the best cakes and sweets in Prague. Try laskonka, vetrnik - typical Czech ones. Their cakes are excellent as well. The environment is average, as their coffee.
