Friendly staff, good service and always worth tipping ! Great variety of teas &coffee, plus cookies &cakes. Nice beer too. Veggie friendly menu. Tasty bacon sandwiches and the meat pies smell great. I had coffee and cookies - and have to admit I took 2...cookies home - delish! Loved the quirky atmosphere, all very relaxed with background music. Definitely going back .More

This cafe was definitely my favorite place to go to when I came to visite Prague. The place is very original with a lot of hidden rooms, the food is really good and the atmosphere is amazing. You can come for just a drink or...something to eat or you can come for a longer time to play some board games or to watch and participate to the activities they organize each night. Overall it's juste the best place...More

I was regularly visiting in the old location, and happy to see they re-opened a few streets further. What was a maze before with hidden rooms is now a bit bigger, a bigger and better theater space downstairs, a craft room, a relax-jungle room (no...shoes allowed), a game room (chess mostly), rehearsal space, bar upstairs, and lots of little corners and nooks to quietly sit down in. Food improved too, had a brilliant house-made vegan curry. Choice of teas is still huge, I just ask for anything black they can recommend. Takes about 10 minutes before they serve (in a pot, with a candle to keep it warm), well worth the wait. Saw some local beers from a small distillerie as well. People friendly as ever, easy to start a chat without people looking at you funny. I used to take a book to crash on their couch earlier, never got to half a page before someone engaged in good conversations. If I'd had to name one minus point it would be that it is hard to find the folks you were supposed to meet due to the many corners and rooms. English works perfect, owners are British and half-Scots.More

Great staff, nice beer and awesome tea. We visit weekly for the Trivia/Quiz evening and it's always so much fun. They have board games and books in English, so it's a nice place to hang out with fellow expats. Very cosy and welcoming.

A friend I met recommended this place and it really is great. It has charming quirky decor and many (hidden!) maze like rooms to have tea with your friends. They all have different decorations, try to find them, I won't spoil it for you. The...menu has quality teas and the ones we enjoyed were outstanding, one is called Fairytale.. (something) and the other is hibiscus (it was a blend that included more than hibiscus). They had fruity and herbal flavors and were really full bodied, like nothing I've had before. The teas also come in cute teapots, there was one that is a French bulldog (spout is a paw), the other is a thicc unicorn. There was a stand up event going on in the main room, turns out this tea place has a full schedule and hosts many events (stand up, concerts, poetry slams, parties..) The owner and staff were also really nice and we had some great conversation with them. Overall, this is a stand out place in Dejvica and really special all around.More

This cafe is bustling in the evenings as it hosts all sorts of activities - from chess to language lessons to different music and talks. They try to make themselves a kind of community center, especially for the international community - and they have succeeded....They have all sorts of tea and serve the tea in teapots. The decor is old sofas and chairs and the backroom feels a bit musty. I think they will be moving in 2019 so perhaps the new location won't have the cellar dampness.More

We were recommended A Maze by a friend who had lived in Prague and it did not disappoint. Just a really cool place, we visited in the early afternoon and it was great to chill with an ice tea (to clear the head) before sampling...the delicious beers/ mulled wine. The Owner/ Barista/ Barman was very welcoming, passionate and knowledgeable about what he was serving up but more importantly so keen for us to go and explore the place which was fun when we could have easily sat lounged and listened to music/ played a board game/ read a book.More

Most of the time, you don't have to travel far in order to find what you're looking for. If I could describe A Maze in Tchaiovna in any way, it would be that. Close distance to the center, located in one of the greatest places...in Prague. Whether you meander into the scene alone or with a crowd of people, the prices, the music, and the people you encounter will welcome you into Prague in a way you'll always remember. I've lived in Prague for almost a year now and it is still, hands down my favorite place to go here!More

I am their patron. I like teaching chess in the cozy atmosphere of Tchaiovna. I like their teas and quiches (especially the quiches!). After my lessons I study or relax in the same place. It's a great place to meet interesting people, starting with Andy...who is a musician and the owner. And it's a great place for a date because of live music.More

I came here as a suggestion from a friend but it is disappointing. I came with a group of friends and all of us have the same thought. We think the cigarette smell, weeds in the shop is too strong, despite sitting in a non...smoking room/area. There's also smell of carpets, old furnitures, smell of a damp area (i dunno how to describe it but it is horrible). The chairs, sofa and carpet are all worn out as well and looks unhygienic. The wall looks very dirty too. I order Thai tea, and i could say i can find several shop in Prague with a better Thai tea. The good thing that i found about ths shop is the activity that they arranged. Its interesting. Environment wise..fail. :(More

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This place is insanely adorable, cozy, and brings up all the feels. It is very unassuming from the outside but once you step inside you will find a plethora of things to drink, do, gaze at, listen to, and enjoy. There are...records to play, books to read, games to play, tea to drink, coffee to energize, craft beer to satisfy, and plenty of great conversation and characters. The owner is the most jolly, friendly, and inviting person I have met. I already have spent a ridiculous amount of time here…put it on your list of places to stop by…Oh also - there is a secret passage and lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in. Make a stop - tell me what you think!More

Yes, absolutely! There are several areas where you have a variety of seating options. The only time I would probably not do it is when they're having a gig at night, or in the evening.
