Visited Field restaurant for lunch in May 2023. This is a Michelin one star restaurant and serves creative dishes. Great atmosphere and service also. Perfect restaurant for special occasions. Highly recommend.
I had very high hopes for dinner at Field given the reviews. The restaurant is quite spacious and light. It doesn't lend itself to a great ambience which was evident throughout. We had the tasting menu which had some exceptional highlights. But also had some...pretty standard fare. The service was largely courteous but also quite cold. Certainly not to the standard expected for a top restaurant. The waiter also suggested a huge tip whilst coming across as hurried and that he couldn't be bothered. Overall disappointing and wouldn't recommend.More
Great extraordinary meals and stuff! Nealco as well as alco drink couplings were really great. Thank you for outstanding experience. Our waiter was very professional, skilled and friendly, as well as sommelier.
We visited the feild restaurant on monday april 24th. This restaurant truly wowed me. On my quest to find a restaurant that would fulfill my needs completety this place came obscenely close. Nothing short of perfection apart from a mid location lesser view. But understandably...that is hard to get and it was kind of comforting having a restaurant secluded bit off to the side near Pariska street. ——-Restaurant breakdown: It is a sleek simplistic. restaurant located near Parizka street . A reservation is needed at least 8 days in advance to get the time you would wish for / a dinner time. We tried the Degustation menu with wine pairing B. —— Review part: ✅Small delights The restaurant has good light and classy music. The scenery inside is very alluring. The staff is very attentive and kind as well as the restaurant is fit for smoking breaks. All food was brought to us on a trolly and explained thoroughly. What absolutely made me smile was their attention to detail with the hand towel. It was scented with lavender and rolled very nicely. The plating was beautiful and cutlery was changed in between each meal which was lovely ❌Room for improvement: To my delight there is not too much to say in this section other than the hand towels could have been brought warm and the view could be nicer .But otherwise in terms of service perfection. 🍞Bread The potato bread here was an absolute delight. I believe on par with porfolios pumpkin bread. Still not winning in my opinion , but one of the best starter breads ive had. Very chic and with the butter and cottage chese dip perfectly started our experience. The butter was served in a very chic way on a marbleeque gold plate. Very impressed. Food - 1 thing to note I believe they messed up the order of our courses a bit which is a let down because it is quite hard to review but nevertheless. 0️⃣ Amuse bouche - Im am not sure if this was on purpose but we were served three amuse bouches ( viz the pictures ) All were delectable . A cracker of sorts with a creamy emulsion ( very well done ) and after a breaded cup with fish filling .And even after that some sort of meat with vegetable swirl .I found the plating and presentation quite creative and pleasing to the eye. Not to mention delicious. 1️⃣First course - Tomato strawberry basil yogurt emulsion. Now this was where I realised this was the top restaurant in Prague. Such flavor combination and mix and match of the sweetness of the strawberries and saltiness of the tomatoes you could not tell where the sweetness ended and the saltiness started it was truly a joyous moment. The light tap of basil powder on top was exquisite and divine. The only thing was we were a bit confident due to the many amuse bouches , but bot unsatisfied 3️⃣❌ Second course - The second course was slightly dissatisfying. The plating was beautiful and i loved the concept of the radish slices stacking to resemble scales , but the fish was just way to sour especially with the sauce. The caviar as well was not quite up to par. 4️⃣ Fourth course - sturgeon , salsify , onion mustard. This was a very innovative dish. I loved ghat they fitted the sturgeon inside the feild logo. Delicious and magnetizing to look at. 5️⃣ Fifth course - Fois gras. As a lover of fois gras I can personally vouch and say that feild makes their fois gras very well. Especially with the bread like accompaniment . Absolutely mind boggling. 6️⃣ Sixth course - Lamb , pearl barley . To be honest a bit forgettable 7️⃣ Seventh course - Veal gran moravia . The plating and presentation was captivating. Reminded my of v zatisis oyster plates. It was unequivocally chewy and devine. Perfect wine pairing as well 8️⃣ Eighth course - Apple ,pear ,curd , camomile. An attentive take on pre-desert with the camomile. Simple and delightful 9️⃣ Ninth course - Defrutum , Malt , caramel cranberry dessert. It was pleasant and im loosing touch with words to describe the meals because all of them were on point. 1️⃣0️⃣ The petite four was very nice , i like the wide selection and cute choice. Personal favorite was the profiterole type. 🍷Wine pairing: Wine pairing B is a great choice and I cannot say there was a wine i did not enjoy. ———Overall : The place definitely deserves its Michelin star. Its attentive , creative and delectable. 🤵🏻Special thanks to waiters Honza and David for the great serviceMore
Food and service was good, but i got a food poisening that would last the whole night. And i know i got it from this place because my two friends i was with, got it aswell, and we didnt get anything Else to eat that...day because of pure exitement for this one star Michelin restaurant.More
Thé dinner was excellent , compares to others Michelin’s one star restaurant 2 - 3 astonishing starters that will be impressed in my memory Thé service very professional and kind Just caviar was a bit disappoîting ( too juicy and not tasteful ) and the...Whole le expérience in my opinion 20% overpriced compared to other one star restaurant in ParisMore
The restaurant is overrated and very pricey and yes we aware that it is amichlin restaurant. But the price for 6 courses and 4 glasses of wine was very high. We paid for our dinner 750 euro! The food was good and probably the chef...invested effort to make it, although some of the food . .wasn’t so special anyway the service was very good and politeMore
Amazing. One of only two Michelin starred restaurants in Prague, situated in a nice and quiet central neighbourhood. The kitchen serves only regionally sourced food. The preparation and presentation are just stunning, fully meriting the star. Make sure to reserve in advance.
Super tasty food from this 1 star Michelin restaurant. The flavours and textures were incredible (some quite unusual but all very tasty). The non alcoholic juice flight was a perfect match to each course and each glass was so refreshing. The service was on point,...being attentive without being stuffy or on top of you. We were eating for nearly 3 hours but the time flew by. While the server was delivering one dish, he said ‘the chef is working hard to prepare the next course’, I said ‘that’s good, as I’ve been working hard to pay for it!’. The ceiling light show was a nice touch. All in all, great value for money and we’d definitely return if in the city again, thank you so muchMore
In a very short period of a few days we had the opportunity to visit and compare 2 restaurants awarded one Michelin star. The Parisian restaurant Apicius, for which I am writing a separate review, and the Prague restaurant Field. Now Field. First I will...start with the positive side and that is the service. Young people, very helpful. Perhaps only the bored and sullen sommelier was not having her best day. It is generally true that the Czechs have great ice hockey and beer, but the cuisine is unfortunately highly average, rather below average. Field only confirms this fact 100%. The menu is a mixture of flavours, sweet, salty, one over the other and altogether totally shallow. The highlight of this gourmet torment is the main course - pork, blood sausage, truffle and pear. As a Czech, I am used to eating innards, however, I haven't eaten something as disgusting as this course in a long time. For a six course menu with wine pairing B you pay about 350 Euro for 2 people, which from my point of view is very poorly invested money. In football terminology, I'm sad to say that this time Paris Saint Germain beat Banik Ostrava 6-0. There is no Michelin star like a star.More
One of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. Went here for my birthday and they were very accommodating to my gluten free diet (sensitivity not celiac). They even had gluten free bread. Their food was so creative!
Unparalleled high-end food and wine and service experience. As a couple we enjoyed a once-in-lifetime dinner here for 4 hours. What a menu! We celebrated every bite (except for maybe the pork+blood sausage "burger" which we couldn't get used to, but you have to try...to make up your mind). The non-alcoholic drink pairing is also amazing. Comes with impeccable service - we even got a small stool for our bags. Definitely recommended if you value top-end dining and are prepared to stomach the price tag.More
The concept is to be applauded as it hones into local game and harvests. However the flavor was not there and certainly the visual presentation did not help either. The service subpar for a Michelin star restaurant. Why did I tiled this review as "Challenging"?...Well if you are given a pigeon breast and a leg as your main dish, you certainly need to have the stomach to go out and venture. Have to say that I'm one and done with pigeons.More
Enjoyed lunch at Field and every detail was absolutely first class. Decor was light, minimalist and cleverly themed. Staff attentive, knowledgeable and explained dishes and wine options precisely (in perfect English, even with one of our group being a Czech local). Flavour combinations and presentation...at the standard one would expect of a celebrity chef and Michelin star restaurant. Wife and I enjoyed the carp starter and lamb main (pictured). Cannot recommend highly enough to foodies visiting Prague. A fabulous experience in a wonderful city.More
