Very tasty Italian food. Started with the prawn bisque, very juicy prawns swimming in a 12 hour reduction thick sauce. The spaghetti with mussels, octopus, prawns and garlic was sensational as was the apple tart with marscapone .

A fabulous lunch with friendly and attentive service. Great place to sit and watch the world go by and eat some great food. You can sit outside at comfortable covered tables, or inside which is tastefully furnished with antique furniture in a cool contemporary space....Great pasta and wine, well worth the price.More

Dinner was excellent. We followed recommendations from Terese, out waitstaff! She was really efficient and helpful. Always there to refill our wine, but not overly doting! Our food came out perfectly timed. Not too fast or slow. The dessert recommendation was also on spot, but...Terese really kicked it up a notch when she served us some chocolate dipped orange slices!! These were wonderful and she described that she was inspired to make them when the oranges were about to lose their freshness! They were perfect! Terese is the kind of person your want working for you. She’s efficient, smart and thoughtful. What’s more is that she can communicate well and relate to her customers. What more can you ask for? We will be back!!More

How would you feel when a waitress, not the one that served you, came at the end of the dinner to ask how was the evening because 'your tip is not very high'? This was really awkward, not mentioning this was said loud enough so...all colleagues could hear it. I could have answered that I did not appreciate the constant pouring of 'expensive for the quality' wine in all glasses as soon as they were half full. Or that the seafood plate that had octopus-prawns-mussels on the menu was amputated by the prawns and mussels. To be completed we have been warned by a waiter that there was no more mussels and we accepted. But only mussels. But I did not say anything else that I left a tip that met the food and service quality of the evening. I do not recommend the place. The food is definitely good but the prices aligned to a level or 2 higher. The service was average and too much directed to more consumption for money reasons.More

The place is very cosy, the food delicious and the staff super kind. I’m gluten and lactose free, and they have been so kind to accomodate my requests. My guests were also very happy. Highly recommended.

Very good service and excellent dishes accompanied with really good barolo (albeit the wine was pricey, but still worth the price)

Told us after we ordered, cash only and then tried to steer us to their cash machine inside restaurant which is ripoff machine with fees/markup rate on transaction. They can go to trouble to have ‘atm’ in restaurant but not process credit/debit cards? No thank...you.More

Food was so bland. Got 2 risottos and a carbonara and no one liked their entrees. Also our server was so pushy about us ordering drinks and more food! Clearly wanted to make money off of us. I love wine but he was so rude...I did not even want to drink & ended up asking for tap water- he ended up giving me the most expensive biggest bottle of water 0.5 l bottle of water. Also he literally ignored us after we were done and would not give us our bill, has to checkout with a lady there. Hire better servers!More

I have been enjoying the Pastar experience for at least 6 years now and cannot stop recommending it.... Whether you fancy a relaxing evening with your friends, cosy time with your family or a romantic date, this is your place. The atmosphere and setting basically...fits all. The dishes and the daily specials are just delicious and the staff very friendly, tentative and knowledgeable. And the wine selection? Just go and ask...More

It is actually a good Italian restaurant however it does not convey that message from the menu to the location. Actually the prices for pasta are quite high and is not even in the city centre. It is good but a lot to improve…

I’m sure it would be possible as they serve seafood, red meat etc. Just let the waiter know of your daughter’s dietary restrictions.
