Terrible. This place has definitely changed for the worst. As a regular, I won't be going back. 5th April 2017 were playing techno music so loud in the ground floor bar you couldn't hear what the person beside you was saying. The 2 young girls...behind the bar were more interested in dancing and having their own fun than taking care of customers. They had to turn the music down to hear what I was saying when I went to pay to the bill ( and then they laughed between themselves when I said we were leaving as it was too loud ). We only stayed for 1 drink, when usually we would spend 4+ hours there. I've been there when the police have arrived to check on underage drinking. There looked to be a few 16 year olds there last night. If the original owner is still involved, he needs to take a serious look at how this bar has changed in character. No regulars there that I would usually see. Terrible loss to the street. A formerly quiet, laid-back place where regulars would go for a chat has turned into a techno music bar catering to young kids. Not for me.More
Krymska street is famous by its bars and this one is in the core of the street spirit - the atmosphere is casual and choice of drinks is quite unusual (you should try as many of them). The people coming here are also quite interesting,...relaxed and open for chat.More
If you're looking for a bar only filled with Czech people and have a nice time with good music, nice cocktails and very friendly bar tenders, here is the place!!!
Great time in the bar, and we ended the night trying out local alcohol and...beer with the bar tender! Really had an amazing timeMore
I was surprised by a nice atmosphere this place is filled out on Friday evening. We ordered Czech Cider beer and went to see the concert in the cellar that cost only CZK 60. Good music and the place was full of young and hip...people.
Recommended if you like discovering Prague underground.More
Suffers from a post lonely planet recommendation hangover. This supposedly hip bar has been totally watered down, with only soft music and boring conversation allowed. Tasty beer but with the heating right next to the door, patrons find it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature....3 circles.More
Cafe V Lese has become one of my favourite places to spend an evening in Prague. It's only a few tram stops out of the centre (the 22 tram from Narodni Trida to the Krymska stop). The bar is generally packed with locals and there's...usually some sort of music or arts event on in the cellar below the bar, which is an experience in itself. I've seen some great bands there and it's usually only 100kc (about £3 currently). The beer is excellent, and the staff are really friendly and helpful.More
