If you like pub food and environment this is the place for you. This is a busy place not the place for a romantic tete-à-tête. They have a great selectin of beer in various size glasses. There is lots to choose from on the menu...and the service is fast.More

Good sized portions, efficient staff. Very popular with groups so quite noisy. The gingerbread gnocchi served with the wild boar didn't work.

We dined here as part of our coach tour of Christmas in Prague for Solos, 44 of us. Lovely meal, served quickly, and the drinks were reasonable. Decent local red wine which is not always the case in Czech. Friendly waiters especially Martin who looked...after our table of 8.More

We had a reservation and it took some time when we were seated but that was the better part. Waiters were rude. We waited long time for a beer and more then hour for a food - and finally when we got it it was...just part of the order. So two of us waited for their meals another 10 minutes. Waiters said nothing, just mumbled angry something about the kitchen.. Food especialy meat was not in a good condition, it was full of garlic and dry. But what was worse, later (in hours and next day) we felt sick from that visit. We had a stomach pain and other related problems (if you know what I mean :)) ). It was really horrible. We will NEVER go in Kolkovna-Celnice again and I recommend you to do the same!More

Kolkovna Celnice on V.Celnici is a fantastic restaurant and pub that offer a very good food and drink's range and was one of the many places we went to on our seven day holiday in Prague. This is a large restaurant and pub and is...a fantastic place to visit as is this area and is one in a chain of Kolkovna restaurants and pubs dotted throughout Prague.Housed in a superb building and located by a superb Christmas Market'the interior has a superb look and feel with many interesting fixtures and features and fantastic seating options throughout the whole interior. We visited early in the afternoon and after we had visited a brilliant Christmas Market on Náměsti Republiky. As we had just had a meal we had a Pilsner Urquell beer a really good Czech beer which where superb and well priced. This is a superb restaurant and pub that is very easy to get to from Náměsti Republiky metro its a short walk.(This is my first review of Kolkovna Celnice). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.00-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Náměsti Republiky bus stop. Metro Stop. Náměsti Republiky metro stop. Tram Stop. Náměsti Republiky tram stop.More

Overall a bad experience We have reserved seats two days before and ordered food a day before, so that we do not have to wait a long time for it (as agreed upon with the restaurant). Reservation was at 12:30 and we came at 12:30,...they told us that we have to leave before 15:00. The food arrived by 14:02 and it was all cold. I would not recommend, definitely not for bigger events.More

Goulash is amazing. Spinach and Ricotta pancakes lovely - will definitely return and could be my reason for a return visit.

The guy let me wait there for a while.. maybe I didn't seem to him like foreigner that he could rip off.. just like many servers in Czech do.. Despite place was almost empty it seemed like there is really nobody and he probably had...something more important to tackle on his phone. I mean the food itself was average.. But cook is not serving it to you himself. In conclusion I was really surprised when it came to payment that the guy had his terminal prepared for card tip and the way he presented me this fact.. Giving him tip was my instant regret.More

Brought a group here for the evening part of a small conference, we were around 28 people. The place was heaving, several people lurking at the door hoping vainly for a table. Very noisy and bustling with a fun atmosphere. We were led to a...nice large table downstairs in the cellar, pretty comfortable if somewhat of a squeeze to fit us all in. Given how packed the place was and how large our group, service was pretty prompt and efficient, they kept the beers flowing well all night. Food was pretty enjoyable, a set menu for the table - we had a selection of "local specialties" (mostly ham and various types of sausage) which was good, and a schnitzel which I thought was great. They coped very well with complications, a few vegetarians in our group were catered for reasonably well and a few people turning up late were fed without complaint. Facilities were clean and comfortable too. A very enjoyable evening all round, at very reasonable prices, booking experience (all via email) was pretty simple, would recommend for this kind of event.More

It was fine. This is a small chain of Prague restaurants I guess that feel a bit like some of the pseudo-pub chains from the states. But a nice feeling I guess. It's a "safe bet" There was one next to my Airbnb that I...wanted to try but was put off by negative reviews. Well, I'll say there's nothing special about it. I had a fast and easy lunch (Goulash). It tasted just fine, nothing mind blowing. People were friendly. Not too crowded at lunchtime. Enough menu items to satisfy picky families.More

Noisy two beer halls experience. Without reservation hard to get table. The restaurant was busy, mainly with tourist. The service unstable, one waiter very good cordial and quick, the other two waiters too slow and confused, mixing the orders many times. Venison menu surpassed my...expectation. The wild board steak in rose hip souse with dumpling tasty and tender compare to other meals which was just of average quality. Roasted duck and pork knee were dry. Prices for the Czech standard high. And also I got two beers under the level which seems to be standard in Kolkovna.More

We have dined here several times over the years, thanks in the main to its great location (just across the road from the Hilton Old Town), but this year we couldn't get in despite tables being available. They seemed woefully short of staff, and after...waiting at the door for over 10 minutes (having been asked to wait for a few seconds by one of the serving staff), we eventually gave up after not being approached by anyone else in the intervening time. A real shame, because the food and the beer is always good here, but if they don't have enough staff to cope then they need to limit the number of covers that they are prepared to seat. We voted with our feet, and cost them a decent amount of cash ... their loss, not ours!More

After a long flight delay, we arrived in Prague tired and hungry. Our bartender at the Art Deco Imperial hotel suggested this nearby place. Husband had a "sampler" platter of Czech food and I had a chicken Caesar salad. I had some Moravian red wine,...which was okay and husband had beer, which was better. We were seated downstairs and it gets a bit noisy. Service was pretty good too, considering they were busy on Wednesday night. Seemed like big groups of friends gathered there eat and drink.More

Beer hall experience. They weren’t even that crowded but service was crap. Waited forever Cheese appetizer barely got here before the mains. Plus they bright it to the other Asian family there, interesting. From there the server was continually just unfriendly, had to ask 3...times to get water. Food is ok, beer is fresh. Won’t need to visit again.More
