After visiting Guadalajara i wanted to try a Mexican restaurant in Prague. We chose one of best rated in trip advisor - Cantina. A very small place, close to Petrin hill. We ordered fajitas with beef and chicken. Meat was not bad, pretty similar to real mexican one. But there was someting wrong with all the sauses and side dishes.... More

Cleanliness: Neat and tidy Food: Awesome, yummiest mexican food Quantities: Large (specially the Fajitas, one person can't have it all) Expenses: 800 CZK for two inclusive of VAT, Service tips and drinks Here is the flipside... a golden hair strand figured its way in my Fajita filling. When told to the staff I was just told that because I am... More

Cantina was just a short walk from our hotel & I really wanted to eat there after reading so many fab reviews. We were due to eat there on our first night but things didn't go to plan but luckily on our last day we made our way there and went in. Unfortunately I hadn't made a booking because being... More

If you get sick of eating goulash give this place a try, great Tex Mex food, we ordered way too much food. It was very busy so best to ring and book a table, they speak English. Had a good night out here.

For a change from goulash, we tried here and glad we did. Very good mexican food and chilled cocktails. It was little more expensive than other restaurants we ate at in Prague but still cheaper than equivalent eating in England.

We ordered a steak quesadilla and a steak burrito. They were substantially sized and the meat was cooked well; however, veggie filling was lacking. Food aside, it was off-putting that they charged for 45 ck for tap water and 45 ck for a side of jalapeños. I could maybe understand for the jalapeños...but tap????

Im not usually I fan of trying Mexican food so far away from the United States or Mexico but Cantina is well worth it. A bit "pricy" for your typical Mexican food experience but worth every Koruna!! They have a unique blend of herbs and spices with a bit of a Czech flair. If you love Mexican food you gotta... More

If you are craving Mexican food in Prague, this is definitely the place to go!! The food and drinks were really good! Great location by many other restaurants as well. They took us right away and I was with a group of about 15 people!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
