We had an amazing lunch here and were tempted to order more but our stomachs protested! Fabulous lunch and excellent quality. Also got the opportunity to chat with the Czech couple sitting next to us who made some very good recommendations to us for other restaurants

I came with a friend for my Birthday Dinner on 29th of December and as expected it was wonderful.
Yami is a place to go if you would like to have quality, fresh, and tasty sushi.
We ordered 4 different types of sushi with some edamame for a snack and it was incredibly tasty.
The waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu, though we knew what we liked already i think its a big plus for a place to have such attentive staff.
You can also make an order and pick what you would like in your sushi or what you would like to exclude.
We were happy with everything, maybe Crem Brule at the end was a bit cold and it feels to me could be a bit more tasty, but i can live with that:)
Really advise to go there!

Where all this place serves good sushi A bit expensive for what it offers since the rolls are a bit too large and the fish is not cut thinly. Definitely worth the udon noodles with fried prawn. I would visit again but just order regular maki since the fusion ones are not that good.

Had high hopes for this place after seeing raving reviews online. Sushi was lovely however, there was a mix up with my brother's order and he was brought the wrong sushi set. We made the waiter aware and he offered to get some sushi brought down to make up the correct sushi set and it was implied that this wouldn't be an extra charge as it was their mistake. We were happy with this however, when we got the bill, they charged us extra for a whole seperate sushi set on top of the one they gave us (which was an extra €25). This really put a dampener on our experience and we were quite shocked. Usually if there is a mistake made on behalf of the staff, a discount is given or you aren't charged for the incorrect item. This is always our experience in other restaurants. This meant we paid a lot more than we were expecting. No apology was given or anything so for this reason, we would not come back nor would we recommend this place to anyone. Such a shame!

Very bitter experience this evening.
Here, it is obviously normal that it is up to the customer to ask if they can choose the contents of their sashimi sushi set platter, otherwise everything they ask for will be charged extra. A nice combo of nonsense and hypocrisy, and we end up with double the rations requested, the impossibility of sending it back to the kitchen and of course double the bill at more than 2000k.
In short, a nice asshole, to be absolutely avoided.

We walked into the restaurant on Sunday evening without a reservation, and luckily there was a table available. A friendly young man welcomed us warmly, took us to the table, and ensured our coats were hung up in the checkroom. Everything went wonderfully relaxed. We ordered a bottle of wine, chose a couple of tasty starters to share, and then continued browsing the menu for the next sushi. All the staff who came to the table were genuinely friendly and helpful. Yami is the place to be if you are looking for a good sushi restaurant.

Made reservations here based on review scores, and we were not disappointed. Fish was fresh, sashimi set was beautifully presented, service was excellent. The restaurant was fully booked on a Friday night, so make reservations ahead by calling.

We went for dinner (5pm), we flew back to BCN at night, they gave us a table even though they had everything reserved. The waiters were very friendly, the food was great and a great presentation. The desserts are not very extensive. We had a very delicious choocolate cake with coconut cream. It's a shame we discovered it on the last day, we would have done it again for sure.

We took away from this fantastic sushi restaurant and ate at our hotel. The sushi quality was first rate - and we eat very good sushi on a regular basis in Chicago. The restaurant looked very cute inside - they didn't have a reservation available. Book ahead if you want to dine there.

I read about this place even before we came to Prague so we knew we have to visit. All food was delicious with fresh fish and sea food. Main dishes as well as starters were exceptional, waiters were kind and were served really fast. Hope to visit again on our next trip

This restaurant has now a special place in our hearts because the fish is super fresh, the rice is delicious and they don't stuff their rolls with just rice. We were serviced by a very kind lady who made sure we were looked after. My boyfriend is Asian, so he knows when sushi is authentic and it is there. Also, if you aren't sure which drink to have- try Malinovka :)

We had an outstanding dinner experience at Yami Sushi. Being 4 of us we were given a larger, more comfortable table while enjoying our first set of drinks. We were served by a highly engaging and competent waitress who gave excellent recommendations from the huge variety of fusion rolls to chose from (try the Geisha rolls!). The atmosphere in the restaurant is very authentic and no surprise, we saw lots of Asian guests there. Overall a top place to try while staying in wonderful Prague!

I had the best sushi experience ever at Yami sushi house. The row fish is tasty and with a pleasant texture in the mouth, although some of them are not that strong in taste (like salmon). There are different kind of fusion rolls, nigiri, hosomaki, sashimi and other plates Ă la carte.
Overall, the sushi pieces are smaller than other places I’ve visited and the slices of fish are also thinner. However, the taste is stunning and the quality is very high.
I strongly recommend to try the “tuna belly” nigiri (see the pictures).
Service is hearty and extremely kind.
The restaurant is warm, although small. Chefs are Japanese.
As a concluding remark, I give 5 stars over 5 for the service, the quality of the food and the neatness of the place.
Price for the food shown: ~3000 CZK.
It is not possible to tip by card.

The place has a lot of choices so be prepared for a hard decision as all the things I have tried from them were delicious.
The deserts are also nice, not Japanese deserts just the usual ones but still tasty and fresh.
The beverages menu is also quite good with just a few traditional Japanese drinks however still something to chose from.
The place is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive in town. Would say they are quite decent considering the location ( city center full of tourists) and the variety and quality they offer. The place is also popular with the locals as usually half of the restaurant is full with tourists and the other with locals or expats.
Make sure to book it advance as it;s quite busy in the evenings. They don't have an online booking so you need to call in.
I will not give this a 4 star as whenever we want to eat good sushi we always come to here and I cannot take a start because of the moody service from time to time. Sometimes the service is very friendly, quick and helpful other times you need to look for them and tell them you have been waiting to order or you have ordered something they have not brought in. So it's going up and down depending on the personal.
Overall definitely one of the best sushi places in town.

Since I am not much into fusion food and like simple dishes cannot comment much in their trademark sushi options beyond the Mermaid, which I did not like at all. I felt there were too many ingredients and the taste did not come out nice.
In case of fish it was fresh and tasted nice, even though I have to admit that I had better.
Rolls like tube with avocado were a bit too small for my taste.
I found strange that claims to be Japanese restaurant, but offers some Korean alcohol and that Japanese beers were not in the menu even though they had them in the restaurant when one asked.
Service was very good and attentive, which made the experience great.
