If you only have a chance to dine out once in Prague you must go here! The restaurant has it all: great proffesional staff, gorgeons authentic decor, and excellent cuisine. If you like foie gras poêlé it is divine. They also have great vegetarian options....We can’t wait to go back. Wishing the staff at U Modre Kachnicky a safe and healthy New Year ❤️❤️More

Hi. Stopped here for a final dinner with our OAT group. As with all places the guest are greeted with a shot of peach brandy before dinner. Then they served a great local soup. The main course of fish was well done as was the...desert.More

A really nice, cozy restaurant. Set like a dining-room and with an excellent staff. We enjoyed this visit a lot. And so did Sean Connery, aperarantly :-)

Wow! My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant after it was recommended by our hotel for serving authentic dishes and it's wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant is tucked away from the bustle of the old town square which makes it perfect for a quiet evening. There...was also live music from a talented pianist and singer which really added to the atmosphere. My boyfriend had the tasting menu - a range of dishes, all of which were a good size and thoroughly enjoyed. I had the smoked duck starter, roasted deer and flambée pancake, and was incredibly impressed. Not only were the flavours fantastic, but the presentation of the dishes and the service we received were amazing too! My boyfriend and I speak different languages (although both understand each other's language well) and usually find that when we eat out, one of us spends the entire evening speaking their second language. This was not the case here, our waiter made us feel incredibly welcome and spoke to each of us in our own language which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend a visit here for delicious food and an enjoyable evening and will definitely be visiting next time we are in Prague!More

Do not miss out on this gem of a restaurant, in my opinion the best in the city. Next to the Manderin Hotel its been dined in by all the stars. The food and wine was outstanding. Its light formal and dress up a bit...if you like. Book in advance as its very popular, we booked 2 weeks before arrival online so do that and enjoy a great evening. Would certainly go again.More

A nice cosy Czech cuisine restaurant in the old town with very friendly staff, and great service. The menu was sufficiently varied to give real choice, without being worryingly too big. The food was also excellent, thoroughly vindicating the enthusiasm of my hotel when recommending...it. If you wish to try Czech cuisine in Prague, I doubt you could choose better.More

We had dinner at this place on Sunday night and we decided to try a typical Czech menu. Everything was perfect at this place. The waiters were nice, the pianist plays extremely well and the atmosphere is cosy. We recommend it without hesitation.

I was on a working trip to Prague. While trotting around the old city I discovered this treasure. Well it is a romantic place and maybe not for a single person I have only good words to share with you. Quiet in a historical building...made up to suit the most choose characters it will make your love drop her chin. The food is excellent. I had dried Venison and a duck that were perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this place. Price? I am still waiting for the bill😃More

We booked this ahead as our last meal in Prague based on other reviews. It’s a traditional style restaurant near the Norwegian Embassy in Mala Strana and looks very ordinary from outside in daylight. We booked the duck degustation menu which we paired with their...Czech Gewürztraminer which was excellent, rich and luscious right through to the dessert. For the quality the price was very reasonable and the service attentive and discrete. Highly recommended but book ahead.More

We enjoyed the quaint authentic atmosphere in celebrating my 60th birthday with family members. We were seated upstairs in a quiet room with a gentleman playing soft piano music in the background. The food was fabulous and the presentation and service was excellent. We enjoyed...a fine bottle of wine and all for a reasonable price.More
