Dropped into here as my twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around the wonderful Zizkov district, it's a restaurant we've been to a few times, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. This is a cool looking restaurant,...nice decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this restaurant all housed in a very cool looking art deco style building. We were here on a Friday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular restaurant. My beer was outstanding, a hoppy, well balanced beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a pale ale style beer,a beer style I really enjoy. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were here only for beers but I have ate here on previous visits, meals are just superb. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we were here only for the one beer each before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Palac Akropolis is easy to locate on Kubelikova . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Open from 11 am. A great restaurant, well worth checking out if your in the area.More

We had walked out of Beer Geek a bit earlier, as the staff obviously thought themselves above serving 5 English lads who had been to the football at Bohemians. We were walking back to our hotel in Zizkov when we stumbled upon the Palac Akropolis....First thing you notice is the incredibly cool art deco building. Once inside we were greeted by a really friendly waiter who had lived in Sheffield, who served us a drink very quickly, and then talked us through the menu. I had a burger as I was all porked out (anyone visiting the Czech Rep will tell you, pork is everywhere...) and was pleasantly surprised as I got a lovely medium rare burger with all the trimmings. I would really recommend calling in here, even if it a bit off the beaten track it is very close to the hugely impressive Zizkov tower, so kill the two birds with one stone. Highly, highly recommended.More

This place has a good beer but the food is not so great. The soup I had was super salty. Mains were alright but boring and a bit blunt.(perhaps my taste buds gave up after the soup:)

There are two possibilities. To pay cash in CZK or Euro. Any other Currency is nod valid in czech rep and you can change it in exchange.

First of all don't confused the club with the restaurant as the club is one of our favorites in Prague. Palac Akropolis Restaurace used to have a great menu and staff. Something happened over the last 2 years and now they have a burger menu...and small portions just like most Burger places in Prague. They took away most of the "authentic Akropolis food" and it's replacement is horrible. They should be ashamed and only cater to tourists now and not locals. We were a regulars for 6 years, live in Zizkov and 2 years ago they changed the menu which was a good change and still had healthy portions, but we were there 2 weeks ago and the prices have drastically increased and portions decreased. It's a joke as you pay 180+ Kc for 6 pieces of sad chicken wings that cost 20 KC at the butcher and 2 small baked potatoes. My friend had a burger which was served on a mini bun and received only 6 pieces of limp potato fries. We laughed with disgust when we saw the meal served as we know how it used to be. Don't eat there. You will be disappointed as the reviews here may not reflect the current staff or food. I miss old staff! Where did they go? We were such regulars that we even had a Zizkov discount card which is not valid any more. :(More

The service was good but the fillet I ordered medium rare was medium well done. The pepper sauce to the steak was good though. The prices are good.

There was a King of hidden bar in the basement, with good music, very nice atmosphere and I met a beautiful girl, which a fell in love with. Also, the place holds an art gallery kinda space, exhibitions and sometimes bands play there. Strongly recommended...if you want something different and off the grid in this incredible city of Prague. P.S.: a bonus is the square, right in front of Palac Akropolis, with the amazing Žižkovský vysílač, the former TV tower from the Cold War era, with it's odd"Crawling babies" sculptures...a must to see.More

Frankly, quality of food here is good - but I think it is overprices for this part of the city. There are places with better and cheaper food in surroundings (see some of my reviews). However, beers are fine and atmosphere and music are good....On the other hand - place is always overcrowded during the weekend or some big event in the club/theater (another review).More

Always surprised how a smokey gathering place for youngsters has such a varied menu, and always tasteful. For sure one of the better places in Zizkov, not only for your parties and concerts but as well for some excellent no nonsense food!
