We hadn't planned our evening, and just stumbled into this restaurant walking by, not all that hungry but still in need of a meal. We only noticed the upscale status of it after we entered and had already asked if they had any available tables - and as we were led down the stairs we realized that it might be... More

The chef is a true creator! The presentations are wonderful but the food truly incredible! Each course was amazing. Excellent, relaxed service in a special environment in their finished cellar. Truly delicious and worth s special meal!

Extensive wine list, great service, imaginative menu served to near perfection. One of the best culinary experiences I have had in a while. Why isn't this restaurant rated as one of the top 5 in Prague??

We had to go to a concert, so we began with two excellent starters (muflon and piglet cheek) accompanied by very good Czech and Hungarian wines). After the concert we returned for the rabbit/veal neck - again with beautiful Austrian and Czech wines. We finished the diner with very tasty cheeses. Do not expect an ordinary cuisine with overloaded plates... More

Le terroir was recommended by our hotel so we gave it a try and were very happy with the service, meal and ambience. After going through 4 countries and 7 cities in Europe (including 3 in Italy) this was by far our favorite meal of the trip. You're seated in an underground wine cellar (really cool) and the meal, while... More

Couples visit in off season. Table outside as the main restaurant was closed. Lactose free made easy by knowledgeable and helpful waitstaff and kitchen. Food was exquicite. Recommend trying the local Czech wine and the wine pairings. Homemade liquor was another high point. Good value for the money but definitively the place for the occasional splurge.

We had really high expectations to our evening at Le Terroir, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. We ordered a 4 course meal, and the food were quite ok, but not more than that. We also went for the recommended wine menu. For the starter we got a white wine which did not taste much. When we asked whether... More

Located in the Old City offers excellent atmosphere. The restaurant rooms are on different levels in the cellar. Excellent atmosphere and professional staff. I had escalope and NZ beaf for dinner and it was amazing. They serve special water from oligocene sources. Good selection of wines, they have some Austrian wines on the list.

Le Terroir is a small restaurant in the heart of Prague, with a courtyard for 5 tables and a larger space downstairs. The staff is extremely attentive, the food is creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. We had the chef's tasting menu and it was wonderful. Also have a look at the wine and Armagnac cellars. Wine cellar is very interesting,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
