My wife enjoyed dinner the day after Christmas. Restaurant had been recommended and the entire meal, wine and service were first class. Great view from our table looking at Charles Bridge. Many thanks to our server, Angela, for a memorable evening. Will definitely go back.

We spotted this restaurant while on a short boat trip and were determined to find it later. How glad were we that we did so. It looked good from the outside and when we entered we were not disappointed. A lot of money has been invested in the building and decor. The menu showed this was clearly a special place.... More

Beautiful location near the St. Charles Bridge. Food is perfection and the service is as well. Outside dining also available but the dining room is very nice and has large windows.

Visited Hergetova Café for beverages and hot soups in a group of 8. The personell was unfriendly and did not react, when we told them that our soups are cold. Because the soups were cold, they did not taste. Tourists may come and go - but fortunately, some use tripadvisor. Please see this comment as a chance to improve quality.

Dear traveler, thank you for your review. We are sorry you felt dissapointed by the service. During rush hours, the staff may be also busy with other guests. We wish you would have raised those issues when still in the restaurant. Best wishes. More

Arrived here just for some drinks but ended up having lunch, due to the relax atmosphere, great view on the river and Karl's Bridge and very friendly and professional staff. Made a mistake (our bad) in not noticing bread crumbs were part of the grilled salmon, which was a problem for my girlfriend (gluten intolerance). Dish was replaced with a... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
