We just came here from our Segway tour and our guide provided us 10% discount. It was super good and we spent nice time drinking wine and exploring new world of Czech cuisine.

When we came there, the guy asked us whether we want just sit and chill upstairs or to have fun downstairs,he recommended us to go downstairs, music there was good, the bartenders were really nice and the atmosphere was just great :) bonus- when you get the lucky night, you will see dancing men on the bar ! :D

We stumbled upon this bar on a very wet day. It was brilliant. Good choice of seating, a wall of speakers, wall of microphones, motorbike and fabulous lighting made from cymbals. Very unique, great service and ok cocktails.

We came in to grab a bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised. Very modern, food was very nice and the price wasn't bad at all. 3 beers 2 mains and a side was just over £20. The standard burger was huge.. Highly recommend.

Barock seems like a fancy place, and it is. Set in Pařížská street, it better should be! The coffee is good, as is the entourage. Very convenient for a business lunch or coffee. Personnel could be more smiling and more pro-active though, not only tending to guests when they`re paying. Value for money is what you could expect in the... More

But when I have eaten there last time a few years ago, their sushi was excellent. I don't think the management changed, so food should be as good. It's a very hip place, so be prepared for that scene. It's also on the more expensive side.

Chose to dine here due to location and timing before an evening event. The interior was very mod and uncertain about the connection with the fashion model magazine photography featured on the walls. Service was pleasant and our meals were prepared timely. The best schnitzel I had in Central Europe. Did not enjoy being seated next to a smoking table... More

Picking a restaurant the first night of our stay is always difficult, after walking around most of the afternoon-and hoping to get back to the hotel before too much jet lag sets in. This restaurant is a short walk from the town square/clock tower, across the street from the synagogue. Despite the location and the fact that the doors are... More

The sister restaurant to Pravda (across the street), great food, atmosphere and service. Recommend the Barock Wok for lunch, simply excellent.

To be fair, my family ate here in August so maybe the "scene" is more impressive at another time of the year - but the food was very mediocre. My Asian inspired dish was fine (not great) but my husband (who will eat almost anything with a smile) found his meal to be pretty bad. I definitely wouldn't go out... More

Staying in Josefov

Neighborhood Profile
Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small neighborhood centered around Široká street is completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small enough that a person could touch the houses on both sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this neighborhood carries in its legacy as Franz Kafka’s birthplace. Nearby streets are full of kosher restaurants, museums and antique bookstores.
