Close to our hotel Hilton (old town) Prague we found Cacao, locals secret for great food and drink. We were sat outside in a cobbled square at the end of October in the sun enjoying freshly prepared tasty food.
As well as a diverse menu of food and drink the staff were really attentive, we were only having a light snack and enjoyed a bio (organic) tomato soup and cream cheese and salmon bagel served on a bed of lettuce and tomato.
We will definitely be returning as all the food we saw being served and delivered to couples, families, groups and individuals looked amazing,really colourful and fresh.
The menu is very diverse.

We went here for breakfast two days in a row, and back for coffee and cake one afternoon.
The choices were fantastic, the healthier options with oats and granola were perfectly sized. The waffles with fruit were delightful and I loved that they put the syrup on the side.
The juices were fresh and the coffee was divine!
We came back one afternoon for takeaway coffee and a piece of cake and we were not disappointed.

We were talking around town and saw an absolutely crowded outside garden. After seeing the name we remembered that cacao was actually recommended to us by some friends of ours that live in prague. In a spam of one week, we came here for lunch twice, and for breakfast once. We were happy with the pricing because compared to other places we went to, this was actually cheaper. Great place, I would recommend it 👍

We have visited this restaurant recently but a young waitress was very unfriendly to us. We are not of white colour. Besides of that, the drinks and desserts were fine but the terrible experience with the waitress made us leave earlier than we had intended. We will visit other restaurants in Prague next time and do not plan to return to Cacao.

This restaurant is located on the central Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky) in the same building as the Communism Museum. We stopped here in the late afternoon for a piece of cake and a mint tea. The tea was very good, the cake was rather average. There is a constant coming and going in the restaurant. It doesn't have a cozy café atmosphere. It was OK for a short break, but we would prefer other options for eating.

We (3 families, each of 3) booked our stay at the Marriott Hotel 1-minute away. Our first morning in Prague, we decided not to have breakfast at the hotel but instead wonder around until we found a nice local cafe for breakfast. We came across Cacao Cafe and was so impressed with the quality of the menu and the excellent level of service that we decided to have breakfast here every morning. The staff is very accommodating and the very large selection of freshly prepared breakfast items was enough to please everyone in our party of 9. Certainly, better value at Cacao than at the Marriott. Be warned, Cacao Cafe can be very busy during breakfast, but not too noisy.

We were really surprised to find a very full menu with lots of Vegetarian options here.
When you walk past this place you think it's a dessert place. Or a coffee place. Or a bar. But in reality it is a really great restaurant with drinks and dessert.
I had the avocado toast and my husband had the Buddha bowl. We were both very happy to find vegetarian options and they were exceptional. Additionally, the ginger lemonade was incredible.
Service was a little slow, but the people watching was nice and the shaded tables made it a nice place to wait out the sun, so we didn't mind. My only regret was that we didn't get back to try the hot chocolate or dessert.

So many Czech bloggers recomande this place including food bloggers. Probably getting food for free there.. It is the reason why I visited this place. To be honest this restaurant is fail. Unfriendly, unprofessional, really young staff. The girls were gossiping next to our table instead taking care of guests and they were really loud. Food was not good. I ordered buddha bowl and asked for no tomatoes and no avocado and more other veggies instead. I didn't even got the roasted chickpea (ok, it was literally 5 pieces and tasted like two weeks old). The plate was half empty and got few pieces of chicken which was completely dried out.

It was a great experience. I came back several times to this restaurant to eat as the food is delicious, and I loved healthy option as it was something I was looking for. Great location and good service. I will definitely come back during my next visit to Prague

We visited here twice once a pit stop, then once for lunch .
The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you .
The drinks we had were very reasonable in price .
The meal -chicken BLT toasted, with mini roasties, it was delicious, then on to the desserts , chocolate cheesecake, this was absolutely amazing, definitely worth a try .
the chocolate moose was also very nice and tasty .
The cafe has lots of tables for outside dining but also a really nice inside seating area .
I would recommend you visit here .

We came with a friend for lunch, as soon as we sat down, they immediately brought us some salads, and when we apologized and said that we haven’t ordered anything yet , the waitress without saying a word turned around and left. Then the waitress Veronica came up to us and with a sour face took our order, she was very unpleasant. We ordered sandwiches, after 30 minutes we asked Veronica where our food ,a passing waitress interrupted us, shouted that the wait was 20 minutes by law, again we had no time to say anything as she turned around and left. The food is delicious as always.
Пришли с подругой на ланч, как только сели нам сразу же принесли какие-то салаты , а когда мы извинились и сказали что только пришли официантка не говоря ни слова развернулась и ушла. Потом к нам подошла официантка Вероника и с кислым лицом приняла наш заказ , была очень не приятной. Мы заказали сэндвичи , через 30 минут спросили где наша еда у Вероники, мимо проходящая официантка перебила нас, крикнула что по закону ожидание 20 минут, опять же мы на успели ничего сказать как она развернулась и ушла. Еда вкусная как всегда .
Přišli jsme s kamarádem na oběd, jakmile jsme se posadili, okamžitě nám přinesli nějaké saláty, a když jsme se omluvili a řekli, že servírka právě přišla beze slova, otočila se a odešla. Pak k nám přišla servírka Veronika a se zakysanou tváří převzala naši objednávku, byla velmi nepříjemná. Objednali jsme si sendviče, po 30 minutách jsme se zeptali, kde máme jídlo od Veroniky, přerušila nás projíždějící servírka, zakřičela, že podle zákona čekalo 20 minut, znovu jsme neměli čas nic říkat, když se otočila a odešla. Jídlo je chutné jako vždy.

JUNE 2024. Another disappointment. A brunette waitress with big lips, wearing glasses, tried to trick me into giving me back some change thinking I wouldn't pay attention. Remembered, to correct, she made the one who did not know....this place is very poorly maintained, with unkind waiters and avoid.

This coffee shop/restaurant focuses on healthy drinking and eating! It is a little gem that was recommended by someone we met when we arrived in Prague. We had breakfast, dinner and lunch there and were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. It gets very busy both inside and out and the owner is very friendly and speaks excellent English!

Hummus was terrible, club sandwich was mediocre, Ricotta salad was a lie.
Desperation drove us here and the food reminded us why you should never choose where to eat when you’re hungry.

Great location to switch off a bit away from the tourist hustle and bustle and have delicious drinks and snacks. We were here almost every day during our stay in Prague. Heated terrace so you can sit outside even in cooler temperatures.
