We were staying near the main square but took the trip out to this restaurant (about 35 minute walk) after seeing the reviews, and it was totally worth it! We had the pork knuckle and it was absolutely delicious. The food and service was faultless,...with the waitress being really helpful with my partners peanut allergy. To top it all off, it cost just £16 for a huge main, side and 2 drinks. Just remember to take cash, as there is no card machine. Don't let the distance put you off, there is a tram stop just across the road that runs to a stop about 2 minutes from the main square. Its really worth a visit for traditional Czech food in huge amounts for a very reasonable price.More

I had arrived late afternoon to my Hotel Hermitage just around the corner from this place. I am not the bravest of people and had planned to eat in the hotel but I plucked up my courage and had a wander around the streets at...the back of the hotel in order to find somewhere the locals inhabited. I chose U Tri Bojovniku and I was so glad. It was no full as it was still early evening but a fair few people, young and old, were eating, drinking or meeting. I had a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. The waiter recommended a soup to die for: 'Kulajda s lesnimi houbami, vejcem a pecivem', a traditional Czech creamy dill soup "Kuljada" with mushrooms, poached eggs and bread...utterly delicious! For the main course I knew what I wanted Roasted pork knee with garlic and herbs etc... this beat me as it was so enormous. They gave me a 'doggy bag' to takeaway! To wash it all down I had a new drink, for me at least, a Mixed Beer, Rezane pivo, dark beer in the upper half of the glass, lighter coloured beer in the lower half and a good head on the whole drink. I loved it. The complete meal was an unbelievable 450 Czech Korunna or £15.66...I still can't believe it. Thanks to all the staff there for a fabulous start to my time in Prague.More

We arrived around 5pm, after looking for a restaurant that was close to our hotel. It was not busy at that time. Our server greeted us right away, and took good care of us on this visit. I had the boiled beef in root vegetable...creamy sauce, with bun dumplings. The dish looked good, and tasted great. It was a decent sized serving, and I thought the price was very fair. And my beer was delicious too. We had a very nice visit. I would certainly return.More

Just one of those restaurants that have been here forever and still serve great Czech food and have fast and good service. The portions are huge, so unless you are a big eater, ask the waiter or look at the other tables...

We had apple strudel at this place. Strudel was very delicious, price is also good, but here card payment cannot be done. So keep cash when you visit it ( euro also excepted, but rate isn’t the best)

Excellent little corner restaurant service Czech classic dishes at VERY inexpensive prices. My husband and I went twice, and the pork knuckle is the BEST we'd had across Prague, Germany and Poland. Incredible quality, crackling skin, and delicious flavor. Service is friendly and they speak...English. You literally can't beat homemade Schnitzel for around $6 USD or the pork knuckle for under $10 USD. Must go!More

We had lunch at this neighborhood pub last week. It’s very homey with inside and outside tables. The lunch selections were limited but still varied. My wife and I had different main courses, both were excellent. Prices were way more than reasonable. Service was outstanding...and english was articulately spoken by both servers. This restaurant is typical of Czech brew pubs but we will definitely be going back to this one.More

U Tri Bojovniku remains one of my favorite places in Prague. It is located in the Vyton area, few miniutes away from the Vltava coast. Very decent food, good beer and moderate prices. I particularly recommend the Koleno - big enough for 2. Carrot cake...fits perfectly for the end. Staff is accomodating and pleasant (most of the time) and the general atmosphere is classic Prague. Keep in mind that evenings, espeically Friday and Weekend are packed full, so the only way to get a seat is by reservation. They don't accept cards, so make sure you keep some cash with you.More

Visited today after visiting Vysehrad. Had the soup and beef with dumplings off the daily lunch menu. Both meals were good as was the beer with friendly, swift service.

We came to this restaurant mainly because of its location - literally 5 minutes walk from Park Inn hotel. I had read the reviews on Trip advisor and though it sounded ok...when we arrived my wife and I were blown away by the hospitality. So...friendly. The menu was not extensive or complex but the food was cooked to perfection. Favourites over our 3 visits were baked Camembert, chicken schnitzel and the ribs in honey. Basic food, but so so tasty. Good selection of drinks too but we stayed with the local beer. The prices were very reasonable indeed and the chef ventured out into the restaurant occasionally to make sure everything was ok. You have to try this.More
