Cakes are excellent, but regular coffee (American style) was not so good. Service very friendly and very nice garden to enjoy some hot drinks and cakes in the afternoon.
Better to drink Cappuccino instead of regular coffee !
We came here searching for some good sweets. We had the blueberry cheesecake and the chocolate one. They were a perfect balance of sweetness and flavour. Lemonades were very good, refreshing and we had them in their garden, which was beautiful.
Visiting Alchymista is like travelling back in time; to your grandmother's living room (but in a cool way).
The furniture is mismatched and antiquated, the crockery is from another time, and the garden outside is evergreen and magical and features a duck pond (with several...ducks).
In summer, you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air while in winter you can warm up in front of the fire.
The cakes are delicious and they offer a wide selection of international teas. It's a tad pricey but worth the experience.More
I was inspired to visit this cafe and tea room exactly based on its popularity and positive reviews on TripAdvisor and beyond, and I was not disappointed at all.
The place feels very cosy, friendly, the staff speaks English, and there is enough space -...I was there on a Sunday afternoon, so it was quite busy, but not overcrowded (I will surely come back in the spring or summer, just to see its garden, too). Upon reading the menu, I was very impressed by this cafes background and history, and when I read all the tea and coffee specialties in the menu, I was sure that here, these things are taken very seriously. The coffee was of quality, and there appeared to be a real science behind it - let's name it 'alchemy' as that's what it was!
I ordered a creamy coffee that was just excellent, and a white chocolate cheesecake, it was very yummy and surprisingly light at the same time.
The place is magical: just take a look at the interior, the small details, the old, retro style elements; the plants with lightbulbs and lights around them, and the ceiling at the entrance. The furniture is quite inviting too, you can sit on very comfortable chairs and sofas, or on coffee house style simple chairs if you want to 'work' instead of chilling.
All in all, it was a very pleasant visit here, I can only recommend it to everyone, and I will certainly return to this magical place.More
Came across this cafe when walking from tram stop to the apartment we were staying in. Lovely place, great decor. Excellent cakes. Good teas and coffees. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pretty garden hidden away out the back that you can sit in. Was a...shame we only found it at the end of our stay. Highly recommended.More
Family from USA found this for us on line, we didn't know it existed. The garden is a wonderful relaxing oasis with a pond and aviary... listen to the Doves! The interior seating looked inviting. Delicious coffee with ice creams are a speciality we all...tried. Staff are friendly and efficient, will certainly visit again.More
The space is very well decorated with a romantic atmosphere! The cafe also has a nice little garden on the back which must be adorable during spring and summer!
The staff is very friendly!
We tried the lemon meringue tart and it was delicious!
We...paid 205 crowns for 1 chai latte, 1 cappuccino and one slice of lemon meringue pie.More
