Good pork knuckle... The size was a little on the small side, but these guys use a very good spice rub, which does a lot for flavor enhancement...

Pork knuckle is amazing. 800g portion is more than sufficient. Very friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Great choice of local food on the menu. It is recommended that you book in advance. Traditional Czech beer is also great.

Decent pork knuckle, but nothing I would call spectacular. The spice rub on the knuckle was very good, but the knuckle itself was a little on the small side. The meat was reasonably moist, but a little over cooked.

So called ''koleno'' was like a porridge and Fanta and Cola that ordered my friends were flat without any hint of sparkles.

This place is pretty far from the part of Prague most tourists visit, but it's worth taking a short tram ride here (20min from old town area) if you have the 24hour tram pass anyway. The restaurant is basically a 1 minute walk from the tram stop. Much better value and better tasting pork "knees" here than the places near the tourist center - actually tender and flavorful. This place is a chill quiet indoor/outdoor restaurant with Budvar (light and dark) on tap and lots of typical Czech dishes, but not too much special ambiance or anything like that so don't get your expectations up too high. We had garlic soup, cabbage soup, 2 beers, a large pork knuckle that weighed over two lbs, smoked salmon salad, potato pancakes and spinach cooked with garlic for the grand sum of 30 dollars...and that's including adding in a tip! Also, the menu is online in czech but they have translations in multiple languages at the restaurant and the waitress was proficient, so no language barriers.

To be honest, I live in the neighborhood, so I have been here several times. That said, whenever I have guests in town or am asked to recommend a locals’ place, I point people in this direction. The owners, Honza and Roman, have been specializing in their signature dish for almost two decades and they know their business. The small (800g) is anything but and the large (1200g) is for the heartiest of eaters. The rest of the food on the menu is decent, but if you’re coming here, you really should get the decadent pork knee. They are often full, so either get someone to make a reservation for you or be prepared for a little wait. They have a nice outdoor summer seating area and pour the “real” Budweiser on tap. Lastly, they still charge locals’ prices. English is easily understood here. Trams 11 or 14 to the Pod Jezerkou tram stop will get you there (10 minutes from Muzeum / I.P. Pavlova).

Based on the name of this restaurant, they should specialize on pork shankes. They are offering one type in two sizes. Other than this, the menu is composed of typical Czech meals and cuisine. We came after rain and we were refused to be served outside under umbrella (it was not raining anymore, but alright). We order couple of beers and signature dish - pork shank. To be honest, the shank was delicious, yummy, tender, crispy skin, really really good meal. On the other hand, both waiters were horrible, rude, not friendly a seemed, that we were bothering them. I can forgive a lot, but this was not pleasant experience I will definitely go back for more pork, but only as take away. One of worst service in Prague.

U Pečeného kolena isn’t somewhere you’d find unless you lived locally or were invited by a local. I had to follow a friend’s instructions to arrive there: To get there, take a tram 11 or 14 going out of town to Pod Jezerkou. When you get off, walk forward 173 metres and take the oblique (not the hard) right when you pass the horrible grey building …. Walk forward 84.38 metres, beside the Botič stream. The restaurant is before the first block of flats, behind the hedge. I found the place quite easily. We sat outside the entire time. The Budvar 12 0.5 (39Kč) was good. The food menu on the restaurant website is one of those old-fashioned page-turning apps – I wish they’d just write down the basic menu. The food was all fine, nothing special but nothing bad. If you find yourself in the area and want to drink and/or eat outside, then you’ll be fine here.

We came inside looked for a table and sat down, the waiter came to us and asked us why we did not come to him first ( they can come to us we were standing one meter away from him ). The pork leg we ordered was over cooked and dry. The vegetables came from the FREEZER!! They were soft and tasted like crap. The tournedos I ordered wasn't a tournedos, it was a normal steak. So after all a real waste of money. And the food is nothing like in the pictures.

Probably the most superb pork hock in town! They serve two sizes: 1200g and 800g - so you can choose how to stuff your stomach. Plus Budweiser beer - the genuine Czech brew, not the American one.

This is the definitive dining establishment for pork knuckles in the definitive city for eating pork knuckles in the entire world. You can choose between a large knuckle or a smaller one. The smaller one is already pretty big. Really salty, lots of fat, really bad for you ... but oh so good. The local beer is also excellent. When I was there last week they didn't have the dark (think guinness) type which I'd had on previous visits which was great. The blonde beer is also pretty good. They also have many other dishes which may tempt you ... but go for the pork knuckles - you won't be sorry.

We ordered pork knuckles, salad and pork fillet. The food was good, prices decent. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday at lunchtime. Just the dark haired waiter wasn't nice at all. I would expect at least a smile and talk without imperative when I take my family for a pleasant lunch. Otherwise it was good.

This restaurant is located in a backwards street under the hill from one side and Botic stream on the other. However, if you want good Czech food, you would be rewarded if you visit. The interior is simple, but the service is attentive and pleasant. Budvar beer is very good there. But the food is the real reason to go there, especially considering the relatively low prices.
