This small restaurant directly opposite the Veletzrni Palace is well worth a visit. I had a fine Chicken Broth followed by a Roasted Duck Leg with Pureed Potato and Red Cabbage. Also my favourite Pilsner Urquell 0.5L. Overall the cost was just CZK254, with a...tip CZK280 ... approx £10. The service was very pleasant. They have Menus in English and the soup was hot, tasty and the Main Course was enough for two people. I just love warm Red Cabbage.More

Great atmosphere, crowded with locals! Watched a football match while enjoying few drinks and cheerful chats with the locals. Nice staff and affordable prices.

We visited this place just for a beer one night, before returning to our apartment. The deco is vintage but it felt more of a -we don't care to maintain- than a style option. Unfortunately they didn't have all the beers mentioned in the menu...so we had to get one we had already had before. All this is ok but the attitude of the waiter was very bad. He didn't use a proper greeting, say please or thank you. In general his whole attitude was -just order and let's this over with". Bad.More

You can taste the local food for less than half the price compared to the city centre! You can drink local beers as well. Very fast and kind service. There is english menu for tourists. Recommended without a doubt!

Good beer, very good goulash and Svíčková, quite reasonable prices. I also liked the service. The place is mainly occupied by locals and is quite vintage.

The place was packed with locals so we knew we were onto a good thing. Great lively atmosphere so not exactly the place for a quiet romantic meal but we loved it. They serve some of the best traditional Czech food we tasted, the portions...are big and the price is low for the quality of your meal. Service was fast, friendly and helpful. The staff speak adequate English for a local bar and the menu is also written in English so these guys are well set up for a busy future with UK tourists if they keep these standards up. Thank you for a brilliant eating experience.More

Good food in a fairly standard Czech pub setting. Well priced and tasty, but need to point out that we were charged for bread that was provided without asking at the start (not much, 16 Kč for two people) and a cover charge of 20...Kč, neither of which was discussed before it arrived on the bill. My partner paid and didn't point it out to me until afterwards. Didn't stop it being affordable, but left a bad taste :( Not sure if it's standard, but we've had meals on the same road that didn't do it.More

They have very reasonable prices, the cheapest restaurant we’ve been in Prague. The food is good. They have good czech beer. The waiters should be more nice.

Three of us sat down and ordered three different entrees for dinner. Every one of us liked all three dishes. So, put simply, if you visit Praha and are in the area, make an effort to stop here. They serve up good food at a...reasonable price.More

Simple but tasty food, with a selection of Czech dishes. Plenty of beer and plenty of locals visiting, which is always a good sign. Pricing is very reasonable, even cheap. Recommended!

Wonderful place across the street from the national gallery Trade Fair Palace (Veletržní palác). Four adults had a filling and tasty lunch including beer and tip for 538 CZK. My Svickova was a tender piece of beef in a citrusy sauce with dumplings, my daughter...and husband battered pork chop with mashed potatoes( which were declared very creamy), and my son had the goulash which was very dark and flavorful. Entrees were each 109 CZK except for goulash which was 99 CZK. Service was polite and charming, atmosphere was good (old radios and lots of old signs on the wall), and we mainly heard Czech being spoken around us.More
