If you order here pizza Calcone, you just get a regular pizza. The owner told me this is the way they do it here. It tastes the same according him.

The food was fine for a quick lunch. I had the spirali with ham, artichoke hearts, tomato, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. It was fine but not packed with a lot of flavor. It could have used more parmesan or a sauce of some kind.
My husband had the chicken stuffed with ham and brie with saffron risotto. The risotto was delicious, the chicken overcooked.
Perfect fine for a quick lunch.

We live nearby,, so we visit this neighborhood restaurant often. It never disappoints-- the food is fresh, expertly prepared by the Ukrainian chef, and served by polite, English-speaking waiters. They have a large porch which is nice in the summer.
We especially like their borscht, their Greek salad, and their 4 cheeses pizza, but other dishes (salmon) are excellent, too. We even like the soft music they play in the background from their Internet radio.
Highly recommended.

The place has improved a great deal. Simple, but tasty food, pleasant service, nice atmosphere, especially on the terrace. View to Hrabal wall.

When I need to go for quick and tasty lunch I always choose La Palma. I like sitting at outside terrace especially in summer. During winter it is covered and heated, so also good.

I SO wish this place was delicious! within spitting distance of our new apartment, and promises of "pizzeria" on the side ... it was a potential dream come true!
review of the menu posted outside showed many options, and though a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area it was still worth a shot.
went inside and pleasantly surprised by the lovely tea candles lining the steps. to the right was the outdoor smoking seating (kindly covered and heated for the January chill) and to the left was the official indoor non-smoking area.
not many people, but presently our server came to the table (he was also the bartender, and only other worker I saw the whole time) and took our beer order.
beer seemed a bit over priced for the location (Palmovka is quite removed from the downtown tourist scene) and took a long time to arrive. we chalked this up to an excellent pour and substantial head, and it was as good as any other Czech beer.
ordered the Quattro Stagioni pizza, which promised 4 different sections including ham, ham and mushrooms, prosciutto, and margharita. ALL were terribly disappointing. pizza was barely luke-warm when arrived to the table, and hardly any tomato sauce to speak of. the flavors were merely good (after all, a bad pizza is still better than no pizza) but CERTAINLY not worth the cost.
over-all, a disappointment and we promised ourselves to avoid in the future.
we would recommend you save some pennies and try a different spot for better prices and better food.

This restaurant is close to our apartment, so we eat there often, mostly dinner. My wife loves the salmon dish, and the quattro formaggi pizza. I like their Greek salad and the local beer. The staff is friendly and speaks some English.

Been there several times, I have to say that I really like the food. Pasta and Pizzas are great. But few times I have been served by this incredibly Idiot waiter.. very rude and unprofessional. Eventhough I was with a lady he did not even show a little of respect. Have no clue how this person can work in hospitality.!!!
