Staying at the international hotel my sister and I stumbled across this amazing bar/restaurant just down the road literally 5 minutes walk. Food was absolutely delicious piping hot and well cooked. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Extremely informal but just a lovely place to...relax and enjoy good food and wine. Such a pleasure we have eaten here 3/4 nights and always enjoyed all meals.More
While staying at the Hotel International chanced upon this gem of a restaurant/ bar. Excellent food, friendly helpful staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Great value for money and well worth a visit. Many thanks.
I was in Pod Juliskou Restaurant for business but I also went there the day before for personal reasons. And in both cases, I was delighted. First we ate in the garden which is very big and really comfortable. Great service and very nice attention...from the waiter and the waitress. If you are a little bit cold, the waiter will suggest you spontaneously a blanket. The next day, I went there with my group of more than 26 people. We were placed right in the middle of the room and we were delighted. We drank excellent Czech beer and ate very very well. We drank excellent Czech beer and ate very very well. The food was excellent and hearty. Everyone in my group said they were delighted. We had great service and the wait for the dishes was not long, although there were 26/27 people. I completely recommend this restaurant in Prague for the quality of their food, the atmosphere and their warm welcome. GeorginaMore

Four of us ate here. Varied menu at good prices. Well worth a visit if in the area. Lots of choice and good to try local Czech cuisine. Well worth a visit if in the area.
Thank you for your visit and nice review!
We were staying at the nearby Hotel International and had virtually just arrived mid Friday evening and we were able to just about get a table for 2 without having made a reservation. The waiting staff were very friendly, not all spoke English but we...got by fine. The menu did contain some fairly standard food for anywhere, steak and burgers and such like but there was also a local cuisine section which we chose from and really enjoyed. They have a small selection of beers and because you are not in the centre of town prices are very reasonable and so I would recommend eating here.More
Thank you for your visit and nice comment!
My husband, daughter and I visited this restaurant twice during our 3 night / 4 day stay. We were staying at the Hotel International and this restaurant is just a few minutes walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a nice atmosphere and...the food was well cooked. We all tried different dishes with only one not to our liking - the turkey leg. The drinks were good value as were the meals. We recommend this restaurant for good hearty meals.More
Thank you very much for your comment as well as your visits!
This is a locals restaurant a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Vvry safe and friendly environment. Food was good with average presentations. The Chicken wings were outstanding and not what you would expect from the USA. They had a delicious flour and black pepper...breading worth going back for.More

If you’re staying in the hotel international, step out a few steps to this gem of a restaurant. The service was great, smiling helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. The food was amazing, steak cooked perfectly, fish the same.
Thank you for your very nice review and your visit as well of course :-).
Staying at the nearby Hotel International and we went there on the last night of our stay. Wait staff were very friendly and the food (mushroom risotto and steak & dumplings) was lovely. Shared chocolate cake for desert and had a couple of beers. Bill...was 587k, about £22.More

We were staying at the International & this was right next door. Great food- I went traditional Czech having the roast duck, red cabbage & dumplings. The dumplings are not for me but the rest was delicious. My partner had the calves liver with peppers...& port jus & was very happy with his choice. Chocolate cake with pear & caramelised apple tart were our dessert choices , again excellent. We drank beer of course! Good food, excellent value , friendly staff.More

This is a great restaurant just beside hotel International. It’s fantastic, clean and extremely affordable. The place is well maintained and the food is authentic.
Thank you very much for your visit and review! We hope to welcome you back soon.
This bar/restaurant is about a 100m walk from the Hotel International where we stayed. We loved the food and the atmosphere so much that we ate her on three occasions during our stay. It has a great beer garden out the back and has a...small playground area for younger children. The daily specials were delicious and great value for money. We never spent more than £60 for dinner and drinks for 5 people. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!More
Thank you for nice review! ... and your visits as well of course :-)
I have to be honest, Pod Juliskou was located a mere 100m or so from our hotel so was an obvious choice for dinner, but we were so impressed by our first visit, that we went a second time during our four night stay. A...summer garden opened recently, a huge space at the back of the restaurant; indeed the restaurant actual didn't seem to be being used at all, and why would it, with the balmy summer evenings (and ample electrically operated awnings which can pull across in the rare event of rain). Customers sit on patio type tables with bench seating and staff will separate or put two together for small or larger parties. Do be warned, Brits, that smoking is permitted in the garden, as it is in many parts of Prague; although on our second evening we explained to our server that we would prefer to sit as far away from smoke as possible and he did his best. The outdoor grill was on and there were a number of options for grilled meat on the menu, as well as daily specials. Our server was helpful in recommending a popular Czech beer to my other half - Kosel Black Beer (delicious). A popular drink was Aperol, a bright orange , fruit, bitter cocktail; an acquired taste. My other half loved his dish of calves liver, layered with rosti potatoes and port jus. My pork escalopes in breadcrumbs with potato salad was perfectly cooked and filling. The restaurant has an English version of the menu and all the staff whom served us spoke good English. There was a good atmosphere in the garden, people were enjoying themselves and tables filled and emptied quite quickly (our travel guide suggests that lunch is the main meal for the Czech people ). Prices are keen, we both enjoyed a main dish (too full to manage a dessert) and a drink for around £20 and staff efficient and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.More
