We visited one night when other restaurants were closing down -in a summer evening- without a reservation & although it was rather crowded, the polite staff managed to accommodate us.. In the beginning we thought that it would probably be a tourist trap, but on...the contrary we found it rather authentic, we enjoyed the atmosphere & food was delicious. We had a very pleasant experience after all.More

Ten of us ended our three week trip with the medieval dinner at U Krale Brabantkseho. It was the best way to celebrate. It was hard to believe this was a tavern dating back to 1375. It is dark going down the dimly lit staircase....Just take your time and you'll be fine. We made reservations a few months prior and requested seating in a good location for viewing the various acts. Our table was perfect. Thank Martin for making that happen. The snake tamer, belly dancer, juggler, drummer, and swordsmen were all wonderful entertainment. Each act came at a time when we were in between courses of food so it didn't interfere with eating. Food was served on platters. Three courses: appetizers (cheese, veggies), main course (meat, potatoes, corn on the cob), and dessert (ice cream and apple streudel). No utensils except for spoon for ice cream. Food was delicious. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had enough. He kept offering to bring us more if we wanted. We chose the two drink option. A couple of people got an additional drink and paid separately for this one. But most felt two drinks were enough. The beers and wine were big servings. For the price of food, drinks, and entertainment this was very inexpensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and was a great way to end our trip. Highly recommend if you are interested in a memorable night.More

Very cool old pub in a cavern and the food was great with great entertainment!! It was a very fun evening. Food is served on large platters to share and without utensils. While you’re eating you’re entertained with jugglers, belly dancers, flame throwers, music, sword...fighting. It was a great way to end our time in PragueMore

Brace yourself when you enter in this dark and misterious place! Hidden in the shadows you will find snake tamers, drummers, belly dancers, jugglers and fire eaters! This extraordinary medieval tavern will transport you to the past and you will find yourself eating by candlelight...and with your hands! A special thanks to Matthias (I hope I write your name right) for entertaining us throughout the dinner.More

This was one of our favorite spots we had a drink at. It's dark with candles everywhere and you feel like you're in the medieval times. A must visit for food or drinks.

We figured this would be one of those over hyped places, but it delivered on all levels. Genuinely inspired menu with the skills to back it up. I was hesitant initially, but very glad we went here for lunch. One of the best experiences during...our trip through Prague!More

This place is awesome. It’s a super old pub which is almost built into the wall. It’s pretty crowded but it’s worth it. The candles on the table are a great touch. It’s a great place.

We noticed the building as we strolled through Prague and had to stop. We were very glad we did. The pub itself is fantastic, resembling a time long ago with the decor. The beer was great as was the food. The staff was very friendly...including our waiter who was also entertaining. All beer for patrons was served with a "slam" on the table which was great. I had sausage with appropriate condiments. My wife asked for cutlery and was told it's Medieval times, you use your hands and I did! Really a great time.More

Nažráli, napojili a nasmiali sme sa. Ďakujeme!!! Super Perfect place for having local beer and cuisine! The use of “old slang” was throwing you into the past. Super!!!

We stumbled across this pub on our walk back from the castle. A very authentic and traditional feel to it accompanied by friendly and professional staff. Again like everywhere in Prague, all staff spoke perfect English. We ordered traditional local beer and one of the...sausage dishes. Beer was served immediately with a traditional ‘slam’ to the table. The food, disappointingly took a long time to arrive. However it was worth the wait. Prices were very cheap so it’s a definitively a must visit!More
