It is still quite difficult to find a restaurant that is completely safe for celiacs. And it is very rare to find one that serves more than a decent meal. Well, stop looking if you happen to be in Prague: Alriso is dedicated glutenfree and the food is simply excellent. And I mean excellent.
For those who do not love rice: there are many options besides the 15 or so perfect risotto dishes on the menu. Plus a few fine desserts. The wine menu is ample too. Prices are very fair.
Staff is friendly and efficient, and seems to know everything there is to know about food allergies.
If you’re a celiac, be sure to make a reservation because you don’t want to miss this one and Alriso can get fairly busy around lunch and dinner time. But the public is mostly quiet (couples and families) and the atmosphere is surprisingly ‘non touristy’ in this city that’s run over by tourists in every season.
Highly recommended: Alriso should be in any food guide on Prague (and I’d even suggest to them to start a European chain of restaurants if they’d manage to clone the cook).
No suggestions for improvement? Yes, one: the bread is served in tiny portions that would not feed a mouse. A pity, because this glutenfree bread is made well and the olive oil that comes with it is great.

My partner and I have just finished our three day trip to Prague. She is Gluten Intolerant and I have no dietary restrictions.
This place was amazing. All of their pasta is gluten free. They also do Risottos but we both had the pasta. My partner had a gluten free gnocchi which consisted of a sauce of pesto and pine nuts. It was her first time trying Gnocchi having never found a gluten free variant of it before. She said it was great as she got to try something she’s never had before which doesn’t happen very often when eating out on a gluten free diet.
I had a pasta with sausage and marscapone cheese sauce, which was delicious. Couldn’t even tell the pasta was gluten free really (and I’ve eaten a lot of gluten free pasta which is usually obviously different to the regular stuff).
We both shared a dessert which was ice cream in a hot chocolate sauce with a sort of almond/sugar brittle. It was fantastic.
The staff were excellent. I can’t remember the name of the lady that served us but she had dark hair with a ponytail and spoke extremely good English. She was looking after us downstairs. She was really professional and moved around the restaurant floor very fast to attend to everyone’s needs. She was polite, answered our questions and was generally nice to be around.
The decoration of the restaurant (we were sat downstairs) was very Tuscan with brick walls. It was really nice.
If we had more time in Prague we likely would have been back here again. Unfortunately we only had three nights so wanted to try different places every night. If we come back we’ll definitely be returning.

We were having a drink in the bar opposite and on asking if they had anything gluten free on their menu the waiter pointed out Alriso, so glad he did, the best lasagne I've ever had in fact everything was so good we booked there and then for the following evening... can't wait to go back and have their spaghetti again. This restaurant is a must for food lovers with or without any dietary issues, it is just fantastic to have your meal prepared and served by professionals who take a pride in their food, restaurant and customers.

Had two fantastic meals here on a recent trip to Prague. A member of our group is celiac so it was great to find a dedicated gluten free restaurant with such reasonable prices and great service. Would highly recommend the risotto and lasagne.

We were late on New Year’s Eve due to my partner being ill. We had been turned away elsewhere due to this. We have some restrictive dietary requirements....vegetarian. We hate greasy bad food. We are not keen on touristy, gimmicky places. My partner is very fussy about how things are cooked so all in all we were setting the scene for an argument when we decided to just ask at this restaurant if there was any way they could fit us in. We stepped in and almost before we finished the sentence the man behind the bar gestured at a table for two. Wonderful starter, great Puglian wine a sublime risotto and the best tiramisu dessert and the bank wasn’t broken. The service from the young staff was enviably good and proffesional and we liked the desert stamp
Thank you xx

Came here on New Year’s Eve without a reservation and were seated immediately by accommodating staff. The food was lovely, especially the risottos and complimentary homemade bread. Would fully recommend this lovely Italian restaurant!

Terrible food and service… so disappointing…
Poor gluten free bread and pasta (it’s not home made!)… it’s literally packet pasta even though they have a pasta machine upstairs… (for show)! They forgot about us, so we ended up waiting 1.5h for food… small portions that were practically cold. Waiters were very miserable. Such a waste of an evening in Prague…

We visited this place based on other reviews and have to say the over all experience was below average. My dish was absolutely laced with garlic and my partners dish had virtually no taste.
Also, just something to keep in mind if you drink beer, it is not gluten free and this is not advertised in the restaurant. We only discovered this after googling it while we were there.
If you are struggling to find somewhere to eat and need a gluten free meal then give this place a try but it would not be a place we would re-visit.

Everything on the menu is GF so it’s a great choice for people with celiacs like us in a country where GF food can sometimes be quite hard to find. Honestly the food was tasty/above average so no issues with that but the prices are SKY HIGH and definitely for international tourists only. It ended up being the most expensive restaurant we went to in Prague while failing to be in our top 3 meals enjoyed on the trip… also I know labor supply post COVID etc etc but there was only one experienced waitress and everyone else was a trainee making service rather slow.

We nearly didn’t visit this place due to the recent bad reviews however decided to give it a go and I’m glad we did. My friend is allergic to gluten so naturally we were drawn to this place being 100% gluten free. We started with the bread and olive oil (rare for this to be offered in GF) which was great! We followed this with the melon and Parma ham and beef carpaccio starters both of which were lovely. All four of us had risotto for main which was flaversome and cooked just right. This was finished off by some chocolate desserts all of which were lovely. My gluten free friend was delighted that she could have her pick of the menu and it was so reasonable at £26 per head including a bottle of Prosecco. Staff were attentive and service was quick. Would definitely reccomend!

Shocked people are saying it’s the best gluten free meal! Far better options around.
We waited 1 hour 30 for our meal and they forgot about us, watched other couples come and go and others get free bread which they ran out of, everyone seems to be bored and waiting around.
The staff for the most part were very miserable, the older women looked like she hated her job.
My partner wanted a vegan option was a huge hassle for them and looked incredible hard (packet pasta, little sauce and a sprinkle of veg)
They have a sign outside 100% Gluten Free - their draft ale contains gluten.
All of the pasta comes from a packet except for their gnocchi which was a handful of potato balls in oil, my partners pasta was tiny, we couldn’t get food after as other places had shut.
The bread they make is poor for gluten free, 2 out of 10 at best.
I was excited after seeing a fresh pasta machine in their entrance (decoration only).
Wouldn’t return, far better gluten free options available, was the most expensive meal of our trip and wasn’t worth half the price.

Wow - this place is a paradise for anyone worried about consuming gluten and ruining their holiday. We ate here on our first night (I am coeliac and my boyfriend is not) and we both loved it. I couldn’t wait to come back again on our last night. My boyfriend said he wouldn’t have known the food was gluten free. It was so exciting to have delicious gluten free bread to dip in oil like a ‘normal’ person! PLEASE OPEN ONE IN LONDON!

Alriso was out-of-this-world amazing! We were immediately seated, and had it confirmed that every single thing on the menu (aside from some alcohol) was gluten free. We had the carbonara and risotto, and both were amazing. Service was speedy, but the food was piping hot and a generous portion, so we had no concerns. We had tiramisu for dessert, and as someone who isn't a fan of overly alcoholic pudding, I loved the subtle flavour. For a restaurant in the centre of the city, the bill was very affordable, and we can't wait to come back again!

Went there for lunch before our flight back to U.K. Food was quite average and when the waiter asked if everything was ok (after just starting our meals) my wife complained that her Penne was not very hot (it had probably been left in the side awaiting our other meals to be prepared). All the waiter could say was sorry. There was no offer to reheat or provide a fresh dish - not good in our opinion.
When it came to pay we were asked “cash or card”? We said cash as we were trying to off load our remaining Crowns before returning to the U.K. When the bill came we were about 500 Crowns short so said that we would pay that by card. No, that was not acceptable, it had to be ALL cash or ALL card! In the end we topped up the shortfall with a few Euros but what an unnecessary inconvenience. Who’s ever heard of part and part being refused before? Certainly not me.
Bearing in mind the above experiences I guess we will not be rushing back next we are in Prague.

Not sure where the great reviews are coming from!
We shared a salad to start (over £12) which was way too expensive for a small circle of goats cheese, some rocket and a few tiny cubes of beetroot. The main courses were just ok and were small portions. My risotto was watery and the pasta was pretty average. We weren't offered any bread although I saw others were. As still fairly hungry we left and went elsewhere for dessert and coffee.
