6 of us went for dinner with no reservation 9pm on a Friday. The waiter who greeted us spoke excellent English and happily put two tables together. The restaurant is cosy (albeit with some odd art on the walls) and menu reasonably varied, enough for two vegetarians at least. Between us we had the roasted sea bass (two fish shared... More

Stumbled across this charming restaurant just across from the Ibis hotel, Katerina Strasse. What a find! Charming staff, excellent food and service. Breakfast was so delightful that it was a MUST for dinner. The beetroot carpaccio with goats cheese filling and fig chutney was stunning. Followed by fillet and rump steak cooked to perfection. Superb food with a gentle piano... More

My family and I was having breakfast in this restaurant. The food was well prepared and delightful. The surroundings was cosy and nice. The young girl who was serving us was extremely nice and helpful. But as another one has written about this restaurant you have to be careful about the bill because she adds food you haven't got.

Just been with my wife, the food was great and the service was fantastic. The gentleman was very attentive and had a very good knowledge of the menu and wine list. Recommened Czech red wine which was very nice, light and full of flavour. The food was great & the portions were just right. A must visit if you are... More

We just dined at Cafe Ermitage and we were very taken by the experience. The food was tasteful and executed well. We had the beetroot carpaccio to start, baked sea bass, duck breast, panna cotta and lemon tart together with several drinks. All of the dishes were extremely well presented and cooked/prepared properly. We have just come from Austria (so... More

We came in at 3 PM on a Sunday with two hours to kill before a ride to the airport. We ended up doing a three course meal and it was all delicious. I had the mixed salad and a daily special filet and my wife the beet carpaccio and boeuf bourguignon. Towards the end of our meal a young... More

We were very pleased with our experience in this restaurant. The meals are various and offer great quality. The service is the best we had during our stay in Prague. We recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to change from the usual/average food you typically find in Prague. Michel and Louise

Cafe Ermitage is a friendly restaurant inspired by the idea of the St. Petersburg gallery of Catherine the Great where in the salon "hermitage" art lovers admire the beauty and contemplate. Our goal is to provide great food using fresh and seasonal ingredients, served professionally in a relaxing ambience of our restaurant. Our current food menu includes authentic and regional specialties from France and Italy. Lapin a la moutarde, Boeuf Bourguignon, Beef Tagliata and fresh fish(according to availability) are just a sample of this month's offer. Our wines have been selected carefully to match our cuisine by our external sommelier, winner of national and international wine competitions, Jakub Kral. After our regular customer's request, we have added Czech cuisine specialties to our menu. The current offer includes Svickova , Beef Goulash and Slowly roasted pork belly.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
