Went with friends to the Prague Technical Muzeum. Large musem with old cars and motorcycles airplanes, trains, and bikes and lots of other stuff like watches and a coal mining exhibit. Nice little cafeteria. Clean bathrooms. Parking available. Prague is not easy to park in...but the metro and subway are quick and easy.More

Quite a cool new venue! Very specious, very hipster! Coffee is great, their famous "jez chleby" are worth trying too! Perfect for a quick lunch or coffee, pretty unique in this location.

The Wenceslas Square is a very heart of Prague. One of the most expensive places where to get lunch. There is a National Museum at the top of the square and on the ground floor of its new building you can find a self service...restaurant offering simple dining for people working in nearby businesses. You have to get your tray, order at the counter, pay at the cash desk and then you can sit all afternoon long and enjoy your day in the center of Prague. Every day there are two different soups, few main course, then a wide variety of typical Czech open faced sandwiches and something sweet to your coffee. Nothing fancy, but tasty, well prepared food, which will keep you alive for the rest of the day. You can sit inside, there are some tables outside and there is also a place for kids to play. Not a place for romantic dining, but good quality at great location and for low price.More

When we visited national museum in prague in march 2016 we started our tour from this cafe. Actually 3 part of museum was closed so finished our tour here. We drank coffee and eat cake. They were fine. With its decoration good place to take...a breath.More

Great value lunch menu - two courses with bread for 89 CKs. Homemade 'lemonade' bilingual staff. Cakes and sandwiches to point to and a good outside space too.

This place is an excellent lunch stop in the area of the National Museum. It's self service, so no waiting for food to arrive; the food is very good, and prices even better; there's plenty of seating, and; it provides both indoor and outdoor play...areas for children. All in all an excellent place to grab a quick lunch, spend a little longer with friends, or enjoy a break from entertaining the children.More

My review is for the kanteen cafe at the museum, Vinohradska Prague 1. We were looking for the park near the opera as a place to chill after a hot day on our feet (me and 3 children ) prior to going to the airport...to fly home. The national museum is closed for 3 years for restoration so has been moved over road to new temporary building. Exit green metro at Muzeum and directly ahead you see the new building and café. Gorgeous decking area with shades, tables and fat boy beanbags and hammocks. We were in heaven and relaxed for 1.5 hours! Not busy at all. Great range of snack a and meals plus you can get a beer! Air con inside, funky and inviting. Play area for kids with playhouse and toys. Will definitely return and visit the museum too. Also my son left his newly purchased Sparta kit. Devestated. Had to fly home. Emailed next morning. Immediately replied and had got his bag safe. One happy boy. Please try this lovely cafe.More

The place was close to my previous work. I regularly used to go there for a lunch menu, because it was absolutely unbeatable cheapest in the area and at the same time decent. I must admit, that after a certain time I got fed up...with the meals, because they tend to repeat. Nevertheless, I cannot say a word against their fabulous garnished bread menu. Slices are huge and bread is delicious. They bake it themselves and it is possible to buy a loaf there too. They also put up this fantastic outside seating in the summer. The best terrace you can have close to the Wenceslav´s square. Staff is great. Always smiley and up for a small talk. There is a children´s corner too.More

The Czech cuisine offered for lunch time is pretty good and at a much preferable price to the other touristy restaurants in the area. There is also an extensive coffee menu, sandwiches, and desserts for you to choose from. The seating is relatively comfortable(especially if...you snag one of the lounge chairs) and you have a choice to sit inside or outside.More

The Kavarna Muzeum Restuarant was a rather unexpected surprise; we probably wouldn't have visited if the Old Museum building wasn't closed for refurbishment. Aside from the fairly lacklustre exhibitions on at the New Building (where this restaurant was) it was a pleasant surprise to eat...here. The restaurant is a "self-service"-esque restaurant, with some very good offers on the meals. Soup was 35Kc, but you could have a meal (including soup) for 85Kc. The soup was really good, and because of our late-eating some of the more popular options had already gone [food was fresh and well presented]. On the board behind the servery they have loose English translations, but it's sometimes nice to have a surprise. A meal for 2 including drinks was 185Kc, which was great. Atmosphere was good, restaurant has a nice modern decor, but we had to sit around the corner because it was so busy. Would recommend a visit if you are in the vicinity (top end of Wenceslas Square).More
