This restaurant was listed in a wine guide brochure we were given at the Prague tourist information office, so we decided to try it. It is a bit off the tourist track but maybe that's an advantage that adds to its authenticity. The ambience is relaxed and the decor includes some Portuguese ceramics for sale. We noticed the ceiling lights are in an eye-catching structure made of wooden wine boxes, whilst the corks are collected in large raffia bags. For appetiser we chose a melted mixed sheep/cow cheese with dry cured ham on top served with toasted brown bread - excellent. Our mains were the Portuguese version of steak sandwich served with dijon mustard and French fries, and octopus with boiled potatoes. The steak was tender and tasty while the octopus perhaps had a touch too much garlic, however it was the most tender we have ever tasted. For dessert we shared a Portuguese custard tart which was very enjoyable. The vinho verde from Moncao was the best accompaniment for the seafood, very enjoyable overall for its freshness and crispness. The service was polite and attentive.

A friend recommended this place, so we visited for tapas and wine. We have some fried savoury pockets with filling, and some sweet pastel de nata. The outdoor area was relaxed, and given the coloured lights strung between the building and trees, it probably attracks visitors in the evenings.

We went for Portuguese and didn’t regret it. Good bread served with chickpea purée and fried shrimps for starters. The main was the codfish “Bacalhau Espiritual” which was served in a traditional clay plate. Will return for sure!

As a Portuguese group, the main dishes were like 8/10, so it was good to have a taste of our own culture. However, the waitressing part was terrible. Not only were they terribly rude, what was a big disappointment, but they messed up the bill and instead of putting water (as we ordered), they went with wine we haven’t drank. It was not possible to pay separately, and for a group that’s kinda harsh. And please, don’t call Pastel de Nata to the dessert you are serving as it doesn’t even looks/taste the same as a real Pastel de Nata.

We were there tonight and we were pleasantly shocked by how delicious everything was. I would order a second dish of everything. Congratulations! It the first time I ever enjoyed any carpaccio, I loved the bacalao dish, the octopus, the cheeses and the “green” wine was great too. Definitely going back. The pastel de nata was good too!

Returning back to my favorite wine bar in Prague. A very nice place and not far from metro at Náměstí Míru. Always nice staff and relaxed atmosphere here.

As much as I adore the food and sangria, I would not recommend the place because of the staff. Can’t really say I was welcomed, not to mention two mistakes with the order.

The place is great for bigger groups. I liked the wine that I had very much and I also liked the relaxed atmosphere. When you visit the place, pay attention to small decorations inside, such as the map on the wall. It's possible to buy some products to take away, and also possible to pay with a card.

Portuguese traditional food, well cooked but the service is super slow ... I mean I asked for a coke it took the waitress 20 minutes to bring it, the food we needed to wait 1 hour.

At first peek in, it looks like it only seats about eight, but recently seated early on a rainy Wednesday evening without reservations down in a bright and cozy cellar which is a Tapas restaurant with a good variety of Portuguese wines. Very pleasant and informed service and English menu available. Prawn dish was slightly overdone, but other dishes were fresh, well presented, and served hot or cold as ordered with very little wait. Prices reflect the Francouszka neighborhood which is just a short 22 Tram from I.P. Plavlova metro. Also available was fresh beer, pleasant modern atmosphere make for a enjoyable cafe and a relaxed difference from the Old Town crowds.

I visited this place for a 1st time last weekend. My friend from Portugal suggested it. I was with my friends drinking wine and having tapas. Prices were good. Girls who served us were friendly. I enjoyed a lot. As I used to be in Portugal twice already it was a nostalgic time for me here :) used to buy some wine for home before we left as well :) p.s. Only be careful as it is open from 16:00 in case you decide to go earlier there...

My friend had booked a table for four on a Sunday evening. We realized that it is the only evening where they only serve tapas as the chef is not working. Nevertheless, we were gladly surprised with these, and tried most of the menu, while trying some of the white wine recommended by the owner. Food was delicious, and sometimes surprising for us not too familar with portuguese cuisine: lupins, chorizo on fire, set of cheese. All looked fresh and we must say the waitress was super nice to us, speaking in 3 languages (english, czech and even french :)). Before we left, we were offered pasteis de nata just out from the oven. Delicious. Price was fine considering the quality of the food. The restaurant itself is well decorated, it's also possible just to come in to buy food, wine or even typical pots and pans. Soccer addicts can also watch Portuguese games there, but mostly if you are sporting fan! Thank you Mr Oliveira for this nice moment in your restaurant.

Unfortunately, the rude czech staff ruins a very good portuguese restaurant. If you are going there looking for some nice portuguese atmosphere, the rudness of the czech employees will ruin it.
