We have visited that place during our walks in Prague, nice location - close to the Main Square, I have liked a food there. Customer service to be improved - I had a feeling like "they just do not care"

One of the many identical restaurants that litter the old town of Prague. Nothing especially good or especially bad. Food was decent but the service was very slow.
We visited here as we were wandering past the old town square and found this place. We quickly checked recent reviews and it seemed ok, so we thought we’d give it a go. The waitress wasn’t very welcoming and there were a lot of locals...who were staring. Then our drinks came and a waiter came and literally threw coasters down at the table and slammed a beer down. The food was really good, which is a shame as the service for non Czech visitors seemed to be worlds apart. On paying, they didn’t tell us they’d automatically included a service charge, which hadn’t been mentioned on the menus (or at least, not clearly). This is the one restaurant we visited where they added a charge, and typically, the only one we wouldn’t have voluntarily paid it on.More
It is tempting to label this place as cheap and cheerful, with proper Czech food - if I was guessing I might say it's even family run? Definitely easy on the wallet here, but you are getting hearty Czech dishes, not pretentious haute cuisine. Staff...very friendly despite my non-existent Czech. I think if you're after something authentic, this is a place I'd try.More
I am surprised at some of the low ratings, we were welcomed by a friendly (albeit stern faced) front of house, shown to a table and the waitresses were polite, friendly and attentive. The restaurant offers very good value for money, a stones throw from...the hustle and bustle of the squares and over priced tourist restaurants. We had three classic Czech meals, all of which were devoured and of excellent quality.More
Awful place. We were made to feel so unwelcome, place empty at peak times and no wonder ! Walked out after waiting 20 mins for someone to take our drink order. Such a let down but worked in our favour as we found another jewel...of a restaurant just along the road which exceeded our expectations please don’t come here there are much nicer places to eat.More
We went in, young woman looked up, hand gesture to go right, only one other person in. Given menus, no drink order taken, sat for 20 minutes, decided to leave due to no service and lack of interest. On leaving the young woman was having...her hair done, hey ho. No one even spoke to us as we left. Don't waste your timeMore
Lovely place to try traditional Czech food! The stuff was lovely and very helpful and the food was delicious. The beers were also amazing. It was also great value for money, especially for quality food! We ate 2 portions of food, a portion of french...fries and a salad, among with starters and 2 beers of 500mls each and we payed less than 35 euros. I highly recommend the gulash in bread, it was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place!More
Our guide took us here on our walking tour. Everything was tasty- we had 2 soups and the bohemian platter. Service was adequate. Prices were cheap. Lots of locals eating here.
Traditional Czech restaurants in heart of old town but good value and great prices. The beer was fantastic some the best we had and food good too considering it’s location the restaurant was quite and it is a large restaurant. Which was nice considering the...area is so busy definitely recommendMore
Good traditional food at the heart of the old city. The best dumplings stuffed with fruits I’ve had ever eaten!! Run by friendly people.
We visited twice - first time just for a beer and then decided to come back for a meal when we saw what people were eating ! The food was exceptional - I had a Pork Knee which was superbly cooked and the meat just...fell off the bone. My wife had Beef Goulash with sausage and bread dumplings which was also excellent. With a couple of side dishes of vegetables the whole meal was fantastic. The beer (Staropramen) is a decent price too, and they have both light and dark versions. The real win is that the location is just tucked away off the main square too. We cannot wait to visit again !More
Food was really good. We had the dish potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork, whitecabbage and fried onion. The dumplings with pork was special but quite good though. As a second dish we had beef goulash with bread dumplings and sausages. The beef quite soft...and the sauce was nice. The sausages were delicious. Its a very warm place and the staff was very kind. We paid about 25euros for the two dishes, one glass of wine and one beer.More
I would highly recommend! The mushroom sauce was delicious and the food all in all aswell! You have to go to this restaurant, when in Prague! Beer also very reasonable priced. Very nice.
We ordered beer and “koleno”. It’s come out that there is hair in the dish. Waiter told me that this is mine, definitely it was not. And this is not problem as you have eat it already. Bear was tasty.
