My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around the Vyšehrad District when we dropped into Merlin Irish Pub ,been here many times over the years and always had a great time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of...this pub ,the interior is superb ,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings ,all the Irish bric a brac adorning the walls and ceiling you would expect to find in a good Irish pub ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options,it's just a great pub to chill out in . We were here on a Friday early afternoon ,we had just in fact been to Beckett's Irish Pub which is about a five minute walk from here ,we ordered and were served beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery ,these beers were served freezing cold and with the big foamy head so beloved by the Czech's ,we chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. A big fan of this famous Czech beer ,hoppy, bursting with taste and just so easy to drink, when this beer is served iced cold and sparkling as in this pub it's such a delicious beer indeed,it was just so good being in such a wonderful pub enjoying a really good beer and sat with my twin brother Ste,best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Merlin Irish Pub is easy to locate along Belehradska. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11.30am till very late. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

Our visit was at the beginning of December. Finally I've taken my time to write a review. We have booked a table in advance, but the place wasn't much crowded that day. Our steaks were very delicious. I ordered a rump-steak with brandy sauce. The...portions are good! But be ready that the staff hardly speaks English. Well, that was not a big deal for us. I recommend to visit this Irish pub!More

Do not be fooled by the Merlins Irish Pub Title, this is a local pub serving fantastic food at very reasonable prices. The portion sizes are fit for the largest of appetites and of excellent quality and very good beer to boot. Service is friendly...and professional and puts many more expensive establishments to shame. A must visit if you visit Prague as the prices and quality are far better than in the City centre.More

Rude staff, cold food,. If you are English or even Irish I would advise avoiding this place like the plague. Staff definitely do not like other nationalities and when we asked for our bill the one member of staff was laughing as our food was...completely inadequate and cold and they knew this. I write an honest review of anywhere I eat, drink or stay at. Be warned this place definitely is not an Irish bar!!!More

Never thought a duck burger can be so great. Yes - duck. Great burger and cheap beer, although it was strange they didn't offer Guiness when I asked what beers they have

This place was close to our hotel which was a 20min walk from the town centre. We liked the atmosphere, staff spoke excellent English and had menus in English although it seemed to be mainly of locals (which we liked). The steak was fantastic!! So...lean, and cooked to perfection. Prices were also lower here than in the town centre. I have put a picture of the menu below with prices. No picture of the steak but the fish n chips I had the following night (equally yummy) They have a small cocktail list with a G&T being 89czk I would definitely recommend this place.More

I went here with family and friends with a empty stomach. To get sure I got full i ordered the "Irish feast", 1kg of different food, everything from mashed potatoes, ribs, chicken and sausages. A really tasty meal. Nothing breathtaking but for sure tasty. Service...as well good, with no added fee on the bill as other experienced. I would recommend it since it have a really genuine atmosphere and nice staff!More

On our recent city break to Prague we decided to visit this Irish themed pub located close to our hotel. Upon entering this dark and dank place with a smell of dogs there were no welcoming words or smile from the members of staff. Funnily...enough we quickly noticed that we were the only patrons, which should have rang a bell. However we ordered our food and drinks from a very miserable waiter who advised that the owner and staff were local Czech people which is not a problem if you put some effort into service and hospitality. Once we were finished we left. No recommendations here I’m afraid apart from give this place a miss.More

We walked over from Green Garden Hotel and enjoyed a nice dinner. I had the chicken breast with veggies and my husband had the Pepper Steak with green beans and bacon and baked potatoes with garlic cream sauce. Everything was delicious and if only we...could do half stars we’d give this place a 4.5. I admit the chicken was a little dry but that is so common in America that it never surprises me. The menu is very extensive so I’d come back and try something else!More
