This restaurant it is located in the middle of Kajetanka park, with lots of benches, green areas, a small lake and lots of quietness. With such a good location, this restaurant could be a top one if service would be better and if they would...consider changing very small things. We went for taking a coffee to go and sit on the park, something I would say it is absolutely normal given the great space surrounding the restaurant. Well, first of all waiter was not very polite, given that he did not even say "Thanks" and showed not very good manners when ordering in perfect Czech language, the coffee to go. This tall, blond big guy, did not even say good bye when leaving and saying "good bye". Something to improve also, is the cups where they gave the coffee to go. Instead of a plastic birthday party cup, they could provide normal paper cups because a restaurant with such a good location and looking somehow "classy" should not serve coffee in plastic cup like the one on the picture. Most likely I will come again to see if service on the restaurant is any different from the one they provided this time.More

First of all, the location is wonderful. We took a little walk around the quiet streets with beautiful Art Deco houses and had already planned to have dinner at the vila in the park. It was a nice and pretty hot evening so we were...happy to find a table, reservation was not necessary. As some reviews mentioned, there is no menu in English available and the waiters simply refuse to help (even though they do speak English) - a somewhat funny situation. Even more funny since they have a menu in English on their website. With the help of that slightly outdated online menu and some google translate and the little Czech we know we were able to place an order and get what we wanted so we simply called it an "authentic" experience. The food was excellence, the steak came as ordered, everything was fresh and served without waiting time. Only after we left we realized from the good reviews in German that maybe we should have asked for a German menu. Anyway, the food is worth it.More

Visited Vila Kajetanka as was close to a hotel we were staying at. The venue is in a presentable park in a nice suburb of Prague. Plenty of outside tables but it was about 7.30pm in April so starting to get cold so we chose...to eat inside. Eight tables in a very upmarket setting indoors. Overall it's a lovely venue! Problems we encountered started with the menu not being available in English and the waiter refusing to help with translation. I can partly understand not having an English menu available and I can understand that the waiter might not be confident with speaking English. However, it's just good customer service to try rather than walk off and leave us to it. The next problem was the wait time for the food. The waiter advised about 20 minutes wait. The restaurant wasn't busy at all - no-one outside and only 3 tables being used inside, including ours. 45 minutes later the food arrived! The food itself was almost excellent. They clearly aim for a high quality offer and by and large succeed. The only complaint was that my lamb contained an ocean's worth of salt. Other than that the food was plentiful and of a high standard. In summary, it's difficult to recommend this restaurant and yet it has a lot of postives. Three really good meals with a drink each for £34 is good value. Better customer service would really help - I don't think we felt at all welcomed to be there, almost as if we were doing them a favour by eating their food.More

When first saw the place with beautiful parking and building we decided to go and enjoy the food or we were just thinking like that. we order 2 different meal with chicken and duck meat. My girlfriends meat was really raw you can easly see...the BLOOD from lots of parts. We send it back and they were not really happy about that I guess they came back quite black as you can see on the photos. When I reach my half of the chicken It was bloody as not as much as my girlfriends' for sure. Over all talking with the manager not really help to accept the foor was burnt they were exactly the normal from her ideas and when we asked "could you eat something like that meat?" she said I'm a vegeterian :) what a funny place they have especially 95 persond meat in their menu nd their manager is vegeterian. Overall it was really dissapointing for me to visit there and spending time.More

Vila Kajetanka is a great place to have lunch or dinner. It is located in a small park with a great sitting outside possibility as well as a charming inside facility. It is a historical building. The food is excellent as well as the price/quality...ratio and is served by a very friendly staff.More

Very nice villa located in great relaxing garden. Have been there years ago, so has decided to make a stop again for lunch today. Place is very nice, stylish, nice place for lunch, dinner, family or business event. It was quote cold today in the...restaurant, 0C outside, but I’d expect to have more comfortable temperature inside, regardless of the fact that place is not easy for heating ... Parking is a problem street next to Villa is always fully packed and there are just 2 parking places behind the gate, so I was parking most probable illegally behind the building. Food quality is reasonable for the price, veal tartar was excellent, Vienershnitzel that has been marketed as Figlmuller style ( Figlmuller is famous restaurant in Vienna well known for best schnitzel ever ... ) has not reached the expected level ... as schnitzel at Figlmuller Vienna is more tasty, juicy, salad there is more fresh and tasty .... so for normal expectations, it was very much OK, but when comparing themselves with Figlmuller Vienna, cheff still has journey to go ... name doesn’t make a taste ...More

We visited Kajetanka for lunch mainly because of the beautiful park with the quaint pond. Unfortunately the service made it an underwhelming experience.. We ordered a burger and a salad with a jug of tap water. The waitress brought us a bottle of water and...before opening it we reminded her that we ordered tap water. In a very dismissive voice we were told that this was tap water.. (?!?) It's not that big of a deal to pay for bottled water, but knowing that she was deliberately lying to us (because on one of the other tables was a pitcher of the tap water that we had ordered) is just very bad customer service and ruins the whole experience. We talked to the main waiter and he agreed that it wasn't what we ordered but we neither received an apology from him nor the waitress who made the mistake and was rude about it on top of that.... May I also just point out that we find it strange in general that they make you pay for tap water but if you have flowers or a dog they give you a full vase of fresh water or a doggy bowl without charge. Where's the logic? Anyways, we ended up waiting about 45minutes during lunch, with only 2 other tables reserved, for a burger and salad. Definitely not worth the visit despite the nice surrounding.More

Food was decent, but there are less expensive places with the same quality in Prague. They brought a cumulative bill without being asked. When we asked for separate bills, because we were in a business trip and we had to be refund, they answered that...in Prague it is impossible. After asking again and again they answered in an impolite, aggressive and intimidating way. Potentially a nice evening rotten by indecent people.More

We came for dinner, and the place was half full. It is situated in a lovely little park in Prague 6, in a very old (but newly renovated) house. It is not easily accessible by public transportation, and there is no parking at the restaurant,...but street parking is possible. The restaurant has a large outdoors sitting area which is very nice in the summer. My companion had the succulent kebab, which was very tasty, and I had Russian pelmeni (dumplings) that were quite good, and also Beef Stroganoff, which unfortunately was chewy and not soft and creamy as it should be. We had a bottle of Chilean Cabernet with it, which was quite good. The waiters were efficient and polite, and spoke some English. Their menu has enough interesting items to justify a return visit.More

I highly recommend this place. We have visited with friends and four little kids and could not have chosen a better restaurant. Food was delicious, prices fair and waiters friendly. The place is very romantic in the middle of a beautiful park. I have to...add, though, that we only ate outside since it was nice weather, so I do not know how the restaurant looks inside.More
