Tucked away almost through a hole in the wall I had a good lunch here of schnitzel and mashed potatoes with beer. Reasonable cost too. Very nice. 😎

We found this lovely little restaurant on our way back down from Putrin Hill. In fact we went here on our last visit 10 years ago. Not sure if it is the same owners but it was just as good and the beef goulash and...dumplings is gorgeous! Very busy and def worth a visit if you in the castle area......More
Excellent cafe with home made food and delicious cakes, great service, perfect location just few hundred meters from Prague’s castle...
We found this cosy restaurant on the way down from Prague castle. Service was great. We drunk baileyslatte and hot cider with cinnemon and ate some homemade cakes. Banana-caramel, mascarpone-blueberry and carrotcake were delicious😍. Will surely go again when I go next time to Prague
Lets face it, the Prague castle is an overcrowded mess. When you stagger out of the castle and head towards the monastery, Kafe Green Stove and the bar next door (two different doors) are must visits. The owner is very friendly and they have a...small but nice variety of beers including an IPA or two. We returned after visiting the monastery for dinner and had the best goulash we experienced during our two week trip. The owner provided a free round of beer after the meal, an unexpected treat. A low key, friendly place to recoup and relax after facing hordes of rabid tourists.More
The owner (I presume) was a very friendly old man who kept lowering prices as the night went on. The beer selection was great and we had a good time. Can’t say much about the food though.
Amazing food, wonderful staff, cute ambience, just around the corner from the Prague Castle and all that for a fair price. One of the greatest places to eat in Prague.
This plase is located next to the hotel we stayed at and we were curious to check it out. After reading some reviews online we decided to try and we were not disappointed! We had amazing dinner for a great price and came back later...at night for the famous carrot cake. Indeed, it was the best carror cake I've ever had! The atmosphere is cosy, the music is great and the staff helpful and friendly - they even offered to pack my leftovers of the huge piece of cake to finish at the hotel! Definitely worth stopping by! We will be coming back here :-)More
From starters to home made desserts all was delicious. First class service, first class lager. We took desserts for take away since we were full from mains. Highly recommended.
Accidentally went inside, going down from the Strahov Monastery to the Charles Bridge. Then we purposefully came two more times, after visiting the Prague Castle. Delicious bread, pork ribs, goose paste. The child was delighted with green bottle lemonade and a burger. Service - as...for the best long-awaited friends. During the 7 days of our stay in Prague, we got the most positive impressions from this place. When we return to Prague, we will definitely come here again.More
Very welcoming and friendly staff serving great food. Never had pickled Camembert before - it was delicious! Service with a smile 😊
I frequented this place at its old location and was drawn in by the lunch deal (panini + beer), the cakes, and the owner’s friendly character and fluent English. Their new location next door is bigger, brighter, and has a larger kitchen which allows them...to add more variety to their menu. For my first visit in their new location I got their new vegetable lasagne. A healthy portion of their homemade recipe, and it came with two small slices of focaccia bread to pair it with. The basil pesto drizzle was a pleasant surprise that makes this one of the best vegetable lasagnes in town! Pair your meal with the Czech Antonín Pilsner and you’ll be set for the rest of your day. If you have room (I didn’t this time) finish it with the homemade carrot cake. But snap a picture before it comes cause it won’t be on your plate very long.More
Gorgeous little find before we ascended to the castle. Great desserts /gateaux and lovely staff. Fresh lemonade and iced Baileys latte went down well.
Cafe is an understatement for thus delightful little bistro. Under the new ownership of Martin, he and his chef provide an excellent example of typical Czech hospitality. Succulent pork ribs and delicious goulash with all the trimmings, a range of appetisers and THE most wonderful...gateaux outside of the Swiss alps. But you can just drink a beer and bd entertained by great music. Far enough up the hill towards the castle to escape the throng. Perfect for the more discerning traveller.More
I find this little cafe-bar, very close walking distance from the castle, 7 minutes walk. Kafe U Zelenych Kamen is giving you a good atmosphere, cozy, serving a good roasted coffee and good panini. This cafe and Kostel Panny Marie Matky ustavicne pomoci can be...both really attractive for tourists. Visitors indicate that it's fine to go here for the Czech meal. Try mouthwatering sandwiches, soup and goulash Kafe U Zelených kamen offers. Find tasty lemon pie, gâteau and cheesecakes on the menu. Visit this place and have delicious beer or good wine. Take your chance to taste great latte, tea or hot chocolate. Over all, Kafe U Zelenych Kamen is well known for its good service, friendly staffs, and reasonable prices. Selamat Makan!More
