Zlý Časy on Čestmirova is located in Nusle an excellent area of Prague were there's a few superb pub/bars and restaurants and was the first craft beer pub we ever visited in Prague many years ago. This superb pub is easily reached as theres fantastic public...transport links to this superb pub. Zlý Časy has a fantastic multi-roomed and multi-level interior with three superb areas as it has a ground/middle and a basement area'the basement area is in my opinion a superb area to sample there superb range of beers. All the rooms and level's have brilliant beer related fixtures and features and excellent seating options throughout the whole pubs interior. They offer a simple food range that is well priced and on every occasion we've visited here this superb pub is busy. One of our favourite pubs it's still an excellent pub and one we visited on our second day and what a great range of beers they had. When we went here it was really busy but it didn't take us that long to get served. When we visited we stayed for a few hours where we had numerous Czech beers'far to many to list on a review of this size. The beer's we had were superb'as good as it gets and all the beers were reasonably priced. An excellent pub in a fantastic area and its a pub well worth visiting especially if you're a beer enthusiast.Very easy to locate from the bus/tram stops at Náměsti Bratří Synků its a short walk.(This is my first review of Zlý Časy). What an excellent pub! Well worth the trek from Old Town. The barman who looked after us on the ground floor was fab (didn't get his name), once he realised we were beer conissuers he gave us so much info about the beers and other...places to visit. He was very brave giving me a cider he thought I'd like with it already open! Anyone visiting Prague should come here, 3 floors of different beers nothing repeated. FYI cash onlyMore

Was staying nearby so came here every night except Sunday when kitchen was closed. It is much, much quieter than it was 2-3 years ago but food is top notch and cheap. Beer menu was pretty poor and prices are high, but staff are very...friendly and love it on three floors so you can choose depending on your mood. Good music too.More

Not keeping to advertised hours which was a bit annoying after walking for 15 minutes to find the place. Should amend their TripAdvisor information.

I arrived at 23.10 and the place is advertised as being open to 23.30 - yet the bar man refused to serve me - even though he had just served someone else with a short. It took me over 30 minutes to find the place...- I wish I hadn't bothered.More

Came here for two nights while staying nearby. I am afaid its not the place it used to be, now seems to be on two floors and beers much reduced. It was OK and would probably come again, but not the same vibe any longer.

Highly recommend this establishment. Always very busy, even throughout the week. Book a table to avoid disappointment. Proper local watering hole with great food. Spent 4 out of 4 nights here, 5 star rating

Good selection of beer, Thou, the advertised 46 beers on tap, was not Quite correct. "Only" had apr. 30 on tap, But Lots, in bottles. Did not eat there, was not Tempted with their "Hamburger" menu. , Typical " Local pub" Very far from a..." Tourist trap " Cool place, recommended, for a Good selection of Beer, and a Relaxed feel.More

Beer cellar atmosphere, busy and noisy. Excellent food and beer. Friendly helpful staff. A party of six, four meals arrived within a few minutes but the last two took over half an hour longer!

So, I've seen that this pub has one of the best choices of beer in Prague... And guess what? It it truth. The smoked beer I've tried here, put German smoked beer to shame. Also we liked tasty utopenec and raspberry lemonade.

Amazing beer options and cool pub atmosphere. However, I went there around three times and got terrible service every single time (as I lived nearby back then, I am sure I would have gone back far more often than that, but knowing that I would...have to deal with unfriendly staff just set me back). The possible owner-manager tried to scam us TWICE when giving back the change on our first time and was just plain rude on the following visits. Zly Casy is a place that could be simply great, but makes absolutely no effort to do so.More

There was nothing wrong with the food but we understood from outset that this is not Zly Casy's predominant source of fame. No, rather it is the beer although it should be shared between beer and staff who looked after us beer-swilling, mono-lingual English admirably...bearing in mind that we were 7 couples including a few folk who become quite animated and loud once having partken of a few beers. We had deliberately sought out Zly Casy having read that they have 48 beers on tap. Even with some concerted efforts from some of us we didn't even make a dent in the beer menu. Some of the beers were fairly standard for Prague, some were very good, and some (chosen based on staff recommendation) were superb! Well worth a visit for beer and staff but don't expect too much from the food, although there is nothing inherently wrong with it.More
