Visited this restaurant on the 15th August 2016 after a boat trip. Fantastic food and superb location right on the river. Our group of 15 all loved their food. It was all served at the same time and it was all piping hot. Having been fortunate to visit Thailand I can honestly say that the food is very authentic and... More

We saw this place when we went on a boat cruise, we did not realize it was 5 minutes from our hotel. We sat outside, had a fantastic meal,,watched the activities on the water and were thoroughly entertained. It is a great location with excellent food- I would strongly recommend this restaurant .

Authentic Thai food (I think!) really tasty. The soup was the best. Tables right on the river at reasonable prices. Service was good. You won't find better value with a location like this in Prague.

We reserved for 11 people and arrived during light rain, the table inside was Next to very loud dance lesson, we wanted to sit outside in a tent, the stuff was not very happy about it and service was slow, there was also a strange smell from water. After minutes of waiting we could order, the Drinks came quickly, the... More

Went there as reviews looked really good, but was extremely disappointed. Not that it would be really bad, just location like this (next to Vltava) can be used better. Food was OK, service average, received shrimp soup without shrimps, and when pointed to it - waiter just said - ok they maybe forgot and brought new ones. Main meals (curry)... More

This is really a rather average Thai restaurant when it comes to authenticity and in terms of the menu. But the location by the river and the service make it a worthwhile. The actual food tastes pretty good as well, we were there for lunch on a very hungry afternoon, and saw this place during our river cruise. The food... More

Probably had the best Thai style steamed Seabass ever. Amazing setting at the river and very authentic, beautifully balanced mix of garlic, cilantro, lime and chilli flavours. Highly recommend!

The Obcanska Plovarna Restaurant can boast a fabled Thai chef, Paramese ,,Mesy" Wongwan, who is regularly with imagination diversifying the complex menu, so it gives a true picture of the traditional orient recipes based on freshness and strength of the original foodstuffs. So the guests can taste the original Thai soups, spicy curry, sote, but also scrumptiously prepared sea fruits, fish or some of the specialities of the restaurant - for example Peking duck. The Restaurant offers excellent gastronomic experience in the scope of brunches, lunch feasting, afternoon snacks, but also late dinners as the Restaurant is open until 11pm. Also the wine fans will get their slice of the action. Our wine menu has been carefully composed by our sommelier and it represents a varied offer of wines coming from famous regions of the wine world and it is a sensitive digest of cultivars and tastes. The ambience of the Restaurant itself is fascinating. The two-floor interior of the historic building, supplemented with the orient exposure which perfectly works with the culinary magic, performed by our chef, and in combination with a professional service, will make your evening unforgettable.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
