This was the first place where we ate when we first visited Prague and we have been here a few times since and (unfortunately) recommended it to friends...Something has happened though...on our first try this week (two sober adults) we were told that we could...not just have something to drink without eating (probably the only pub in Prague with this rule). Some evenings later we went to have dinner (5 adults) and were told at the bar that it was for reservation only...with the big restaurant almost empty. So...is the bartender lazy or just not interested in serving people that arent czeck? Well I don’t care and you shouldn’t eighter; just take your money somewhere else since there are lot of excellent restaurants nearby!More

Hello, we are deeply sorry to hear that you werent satisfied with our services. However, the rule about drinks is written outside in bold lettering, as well as inside right on the bar. Despite this, we would be very happy to find a table for...More
Went in to look at the menu with intention of booking, thought we would have a drink while doing so, asked if they had an English menu and got no answer then was told couldn't buy a drink only. A real pig of a man...and disgusting attitude.More

Our restaurant is proud to be one of the best in the region as can be seen from many positive referencess. We do have lunch menu usually in Czech language. Even so there is no problem to ask for foreign menu. As we do lunch...More
I have been there a couple of times with my collegues from work, and we all aggree that this is a perfect place for some Checz food.
It do not look at much at first, but even if this looks lige a bar with a...couple of tables, do not underestimate the cook. He creates fantastic meals.
If the tables are all resevated, just make sure to tell the vaiter that you are there for eating and he will find a table for you.
Very frindly place, cosy and have I mentioned GOOD food.
Not sure I want to recomend this place here, as I would like to go there myself again and again, without this place are filled up with tourist's.More
We went here quite late one evening and although the tables had "reserved" on them we were able to get a seat. The interior was really nice as it had an old fashioned look about it, feeling like a traditional old Prague Pub. We ordered...our food, chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce, tenderloin with dumplings and as a sweet, strudel. All the food was excellent. There was a good selection of beers and drinks too. The server was polite, prompt and very patient with our broken Czech. Well worth a visit.More
Having read the reviews for the restaurants surrounding our hotel we went for a wander and chose this one to return to later. It didn't disappoint! A lovely rustic place with friendly service. The portions were massive and we both struggled.. I feel guilty about...leaving my dumplings as I could only manage 2 out of the 5! I had the roast pork and my partner had the smoked pork. Both were delicious along with a large beer each and it came to £15 which we thought was fab. Still lots to explore but I've a feeling we will be returning and trying more items on the menu!! Thank you!!More
Stopped in here on our first night in Prague. I ordered the boar goulash and my husband got beef tenderloin with cream sauce. Both were amazing. Combine that with inexpensive prices and friendly service and you have a winner!
