About
Our 2012 reconstructed restaurant is situated in the heart of Prague by the well known Kampa Island, close to the river Vltava. There is a beautiful view on the park Kampa and the Devil's Stream (Certovka) from our restaurant. You can taste our czech or international cuisine or Moravian and italian wine. In case of nice weather you can sit also on one of our three terraces outside of the restaurant. Premises and location of the restaurant are ideal for weddings, all kind of events or incoming tour groups. Our restaurant is located on the beautiful place in the centre of Prague, 300m far from Charles Bridge, 250m far from the train station Petrin. You can choose from wide variety offer of czech or international cuisine. We highly value qualitative ingredients and careful preparation of the food to achieve a great taste for you. Our menu is adopted based on seasonality and availability of fresh ingredients.

We came here for Valentine s day and we were really pleased for the nice welcome and friendly staff.
Location is very good, the restaurant offer good privacy, not like in some restaurants that you are very close to other clients.
Only downside is the lack of variety of food.
Other than this is place to come and enjoy.

Sunday lunch with my family, nice location and pleasant view, staff kind and polite. We had 3 different meals..risotto with squid, duck medallions and schnitzel..I would not say it was bad, but unfortunatelly it was not, what I would expect in such restaurant. Schnitzel was so big, that it almost fell off the plate, but it was too thin and it seemed, that only bread-crumbs were used instead of meat. The rest was just Ok. I like this restaurant and the place is perfect, but I rate the meal 5 from 10. A pitty, would like to go there more often, but to choose, what to eat is now even more complicated, when 3 meals out of 8 are not 100% perfect. Let’s see after some time, when I come back to sit in this nice place. Hopefully with better experience. Fingers crossed!

Great location next to the Kampa park in the busy city with the relaxed and laid back atmosphere. The waiter polite and efficent. The set menu we had cosist of Sushi Tartar, Grilled duck breast with baked potatoe and Pistachio tiramisu. All meals well presented and tasty. Friend of my had veal schnitzel with light potatoe salad, the schnitzel was gigant and it looked for two person to satisfy their stomach.

When we arrived with my friend, we asked the lady behind the bar if we can take the empty table outside or if they have any reservation there, she very impolitely replied, that she is just behind the bar so how is she supposed to know. Then I approached the lady outside with the same question, she again very impolitely replied: of course it’s empty. The table had only one chair so we had to find another one so we could sit there. When we were seated, one of the ladies brought us menu and said: Maybe I’ll bring you the second one later. We looked at each other and straight away decided to leave.
I don’t understand the behavior of the staff in this restaurant, there is literally no reason to be mean to your guests. We are definitely not coming back and recommend you not to even try this place.

I travel quite often. Prague become my favorite destination in Europe. I always love to discover new restaurants in Prague. I am quite picky, but I have to say that Altany Kampa has a excellent food and the service is spectacular. Excellent customer service from the beginning to the end and a special thanks to Marek for being wonderful. Thank you! Will return soon.

superb quiet restaurant with a beautiful terrace at the water's edge in Kampa park. Very good meal, extremely well presented and at a very reasonable price. the waitress was very nice and very efficient. Go there if you are in the area or after visiting the castle

Friendly staff, without any inconvenience although there was a fairly large table next to us, the service never failed, the waitresses were friendly and helpful, I took the GRILLED DUCK BREAST and a very interesting combination of cheesecake and mango, everything was delicious!!

The location is very good, nice to be outside especially on a hot evening. However the food is just mediocre and service is OK. There is great reluctance to let the customer use a credit card unless you make it clear that you do not have cash.

We discovered Altany Kampa restaurant accidentally while walking in the park under the Charle’s Bridge, on our last day in Prague. We liked its location and the scenery so we decided to have lunch there.
It was so quiet and peaceful, away from the madness of the Bridge. The food was nice and the service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and her use of the English language was pretty good.

We came here advised by locals but the food was far from good. The people working there were not very friendly. We did spend a great time with our friends but it’s not a place we will visit again in Prague.

We had a light lunch on the terrace at the waterside. It was just perfect. The food was nice, the wine interesting, the coffee really good, the service very friendly and the price/quality relation remarkably good, even for Prague. However, what made the place unforgettable was the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, away from the touristy crowd, the soft sound of the running water and the green wall of trees and shrubs.

This restaurant is slightly off the tourist trail which is perfect. After a morning touring Prague Castle,Letna Park and the Metronome it was the perfect setting, Clean,modern and reasonably quiet when we visited.
We had the risotto, goulash, duck, chicken salad, and burger all of which were full of flavour and made from scratch. The wine, chosen by one of our group, was a Gewürztraminer and was the perfect accompaniment. The local beer was also very refreshing. The service was also excellent.
Will definitely return if I visit Prague again
