Saturday night, Dec 3rd. a table left on the right side room, and in need of a meal before 8 PM concert. Outside menu advertises a 290 K menu. why not. Inside, we're only given the card menu. On my request we get the other menu reluctantly. we order the main course of this menu tagliatelle vegetarian with Roquefort sauce,... More

The food here is OK, traditional Czech, and good prices but perhaps not as good as some places around it. The staff is very attentive and frankly, two starters and two mains (sorry, I can't read my receipt or remember each dish) plus a bottle of wine was only 1186 crowns, or about 40 pounds. Three star meal with a... More

My partner and I visited this place on the 31st of October. It was our first night in Prague and chose this place when passing as we noticed they did a Czech tasting menu which was ideal to test the local dishes. We were sat in a small room which contained 4 tables close together. The waiter who took the... More

After a busy day of walking tours this was a little haven amongst the hub bub of the old town. Very friendly serving uncomplicated and delicious food. The surrounding restaurants had pictures outside of their offerings which I always think is a very bad sign and let this guide us to this very good restaurant.

It was not the meal but the attention and good vibes from the staff that makes me recommend this place. We were not made to feel like the tourists we were. Of course, we try to say a few Czech words - please, thank you, hello - that always help to let natives know we recognize we are guests in... More

The place, as seen from the sidewalk, looks attractive as it resembles a charming bistro. But once inside, it is totally different. The property is split into two saloons separated by a small entrance hall – one on the left and another on the right. The right one communicates DIRECTLY with the kitchen, what means that all the odors and... More

We went to this restaurant on our last day, right before leaving to the Airport. The food was delicious, we both ate goulash with bread dumblings, and it was great. We were the only people in the restaurant and it is very small and bit hidden, but i would definetely recommend this place. We drank 2 beers with our food... More

Very pleasant restaurant with good food and a lovely host/waiter who provided good advice on where to go and what to see - as well as what to avoid. An excellent starter of pate was followed by fillet steak surrounded by smoked bacon with traditional vegetables. And you cannot eat food without some local beer1 To round things off we... More

Looking for a restaurant for lunch before going to the famous "U zlatého tygra" (golden tiger) - luckily this place was next door. Great little restaurant...very friendly staff...the traditional Vepřo-knedlo-zelo (pork, dumplings and sauerkraut) was superb. Just that cut above other fare but very reasonably priced. A free slivovice for my partner and myself to end the meal was a... More

A bit tacky and dated interior but good wallet friendly food, and truly friendly staff. Would go back, if ever in Prague again. Maybe a bit more Czech than other restaurants on my visit.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
