Very good traditional cuisine not very expensive. This restaurant is not a tourist catch, a very slight delay in cooking and without us asking anything we were offered the desert. It's very good and hearty. Lovers of regional dishes I advise you to go, close to the tram

From the warm friendly greeting, the family atmosphere of this small restaurant was apparent. There is a good selection of traditional Czech cuisine on offer. Our choices of Singer 's beef goulash and duck leg with apple, were both delicious and portions were great. The service was excellent. A real gem.

Food was excellent. I had the Farmers Plate (pork medallions, green beans and potato pancakes). My friend had the smuggler’s roll (chicken breast with sausage and cheese inside) which came with a cucumber salad if grated cucumbers in a vinegar and sugar soup like concoction. Entrees were flavorful without being too heavy. Bread and herb butter served was some of the best that I’ve had in Prague. The server recommend a Pilsner to accompany my dinner which paired wonderfully with my meal. In terms of service, we arrived at 9 pm, and they met us know that they would be closing in about 45 minutes. Otherwise service was fine.
It may be tricky to find this Czech restaurant, but if you do, I think you and your stomach will be delighted.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around the fantastic New Town ( Nove Mesto ) when we decided to drop into U Zpevacku ,a pub we always look forward to visiting on any trip to Prague we take.
I love the look of this pub, interior is traditional,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options ,it's just a great pub to unwind in.
We were here on a Friday night, pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,we ordered a becherovka each, these were served in quite big shot glasses ,we kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
I enjoy a becherovka every now and again ,this strong herbal liquor made from 20 plus herbs and spices is really tasty, not to rush but to savour ,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality drink.
We really enjoyed our becherovka in here before we moved on and as on every other visit yo here we had a great time.
U Zpevacku is easy to locate along Na Struze.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Friday,10am till 11pm.
Saturday & Sunday,10.30am till 11pm.
Well worth seeking out if you're in the New Town.

We were staying in the Adler Hotel in an ideal location. As usual Trip advisor is our go to. This restaurant had a lot of excellent reviews and we were looking for some local cuisine. It really is a great place to eat.
The restaurant is rustic and homely. There is plenty of room. The menu is interesting with local duck, pork, steak, salads, chicken etc.
We ordered the pork dumplings with fried potatoes and the Farmers pan with fried potatoes, both dishes were wholesome, homely and superb. Our host Victoria recommended a beautiful white wine. We finished off with two delightful coffee's. If you are looking for great local food, a very friendly atmosphere and at an excellent price, this is the place.
Highly recommended, thankyou Victoria and yes we will be back.

Busy restaurant close to the old town and hotel we were staying at. The food, service and value were so good we ended up visiting twice! Totally recommend as long as you are happy embracing traditional foods like pork knuckle and beef goulash, which were both amazing.

A small and cosy restaurant serving well cooked food at a very reasonable price. The service was very friendly and efficient. Everything* was very low key and relaxed. First night in Prague and we were very fortunate to find such a lovely place for an evening meal.

Lovely authentic Czech restaurant. Not a big menu but perfect for Czech cuisine. We wanted something authentic so ordered the Beef Goulash, the Pork skewer and the grilled chicken and bacon. The food was delicious. Menu easy to read and understand d as there are English descriptions. We also ordered a Pilsner Urquell (local beer). Staff were friendly and food great. Couldn’t ask for more.

We found this place by accident and enjoyed it so much we went back a second time. Food is very good, traditional Czech cuisine I think, beer is too. It was busy both times and out of the tourist trap area. Atmosphere was friendly. There were two ladies waiting tables who worked their socks off, however much they are paid, it’s almost certainly not enough. They were friendly, professional and spoke good English.

This restaurant is a must food is great and great value for money. Portions are massive! I had pork cutlets in a cream sauce with potato croquettes and my husband had a chicken wrap. Both portions were of a great size and enough for a hungry person to be filled. Service was great by friendly staff. One thing I did like and wish many other restaurants would take note is that in the toilets they had hairspray, earbuds, tampons etc to use. This is great! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly visit again when next in Prague. Thank you guys your restaurant is amazing.

Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
