About
The iconic Alcron Restaurant, a favorite spot for all gastronomic enthusiasts, has begun its new era. The author of the new plant-forward menu is Richard Bielik, a personality with extensive professional experience, who brings a fresh wind to the Czech culinary scene. The plant-forward concept offers modern cuisine made up of flavorful plant-based dishes. However, it does not strictly limit itself to this direction, so meat lovers will also find something to enjoy. The restaurant has been included in the prestigious Gault & Millau guide and awarded 2 toques. Alcron Restaurant is also an ideal place for business lunches or meetings with clients in the very center of Prague.

you must visit this restaurant in Prague! the experience is really wonderful and the prices are really great for this level of service :)
Since 1932, the Alcron restaurant in the hotel of the same name has been a culinary icon, and since I was in the hotel for a few days in Prague, I had to have the experience of dinner.
The head chef Richard Bielik, who worked in some of the best restaurants in Europe, explained to me each dish and his main vision - the simplicity and lightness of food with a plant-forward philosophy associated with traditional dishes of Central European cuisine in a modern version.
for an appetizer I ate: 1. Baby carrot salad with carrot puree, apple compote, sour cream and breadcrumbs 2. "Bryndza" cheese parfait with white chocolate and hazelnuts, red onion, apricot puree, brioche.
then for the main course: Fried cauliflower florets, boiled Grenaille potatoes, tartar sauce made of capers and gherkins, and truffles imported from Italy that intoxicated me with their wonderful aroma.
for dessert, which I couldn't resist even though I was full, I chose "Kremrole" with white chocolate filling, blackcurrant sorbet, fried almonds.
I read that the restaurant has been redesigned with original crystal chandeliers and transparent marble lamps, and the neon art brings everything to a new level.

We had the most wonderful dinner at Alcron Restaurant. We met the manager, Daniel Prokeš when we walked by the restaurant on the evening before our reservation, and he spent time chatting with us about the menu, so we were already excited to eat there. We could not have been happier with our dinner. The service was excellent, the ambiance was terrific, and every course that we ate was glorious. We started with the Chestnut puree with Salsify and Mushrooms which was truly an ingenious combination. Then we had their signature Bryndza Parfait which was both whimsical and delicious. The Stuffed Cabbage was sublime, and our desserts (we wanted all of them!) were outstanding. The staff, Olga, Tomáš and Petr were excellent at making us feel welcome and important, and we were so impressed with the chef that we asked to meet him. In our opinions, Chef Richard Bielik should soon be granted a Michelin star for his work, and he is as charming and handsome as he is talented! Don't miss the opportunity to dine here on your next visit to Prague.

This spot is a great for a casual or business night out in centre of Prague, just some steps from Wenceslaw Square. The decoration is modern and lights are just right. There is a suprising inside terrace where you can enjoy your evening in case of good wheather. The food is just delicious, there are several vegetarian and vegan options, for me the typical Slovac cheese covered in white chocolate and supreme steak is a must. They have a good variety of local and international wines and the staff is very kind and helpful.

We were there yesterday (tuesday) for dinner and the service needs to be improved from our point of view: we had to wait 5 minutes at the reception even though the restaurant wasn't even half full.
The host's reasoning was that they were apparently very busy? Secondly, there wasn't a large selection of drinks and wines or even a drinks menu, so we went for the wine on recommendation, which was good. The starters (smoked sturgeon and beef tartare) were delicious and we chose ribeye steak and spring chicken for the main course. We realised 2 minutes after placing our order that we had forgotten to order the side dishes (the waiter could have pointed this out to us) and ordered them later.
However, the main course came alone without any side dishes and we then had to ask the waiter again, who delivered them to us after 7 minutes and our main course was already half finished (it was very tasty, by the way).
After the meal we didn't have dessert but ordered an espresso, which unfortunately never arrived and after 10 minutes we ordered the bill. On the whole, the food was great (8.5/10), but the service left a lot to be desired (3/10). Please also offer a drinks menu if you already offer a menu.

this is a wonderful restaurant inside the hotel of the same name.
It does things 'properly' with great attention to detail.
The staff are welcoming and super-efficient.
The food is sublime.
We started with beef tartare and smoked sturgoen. These came with lovelty dressing and extras that added so much wonderful texture and flavour.
For main we both had smojed baby chicken wi=hich was incredibly tender and favoursome.
Finished off with a cheeseboard of four excellent french cheeses
Not cheap - but great for a special meal

We had the pleasure of trying this restaurant out while staying in the hotel and I have to say I was impressed.
Right from the reservation the service was excellent! Our waiter really went the extra mile in terms of service and to make us feel welcome.
The food itself was also top notch! Local ingredients and dishes made to perfection. I had the lamb for main course and that was probably the tastiest most tender meat I ever had!
A must visit restaurant, if you are interested in local food and want to try it out!

The food was absolutely amazing! Great flavors and creative dishes. The potato snack with truffle was my favorite, an explosion of flavor. I also reccomend the Kale salad with chestnut purée.
The staff was super friendly and made sure we were looked after all the time.
It's a must when in Prague!

Went to the restaurant for lunch with friends based on positive, though rather old reviews. The huge hall was empty, the waitress had her mask without the nose being covered, did not bother to ask for vaccination certificate (or covid-19 illness in the last 6 months), though it was mandatory starting that day on Monday, November 22. We were accompanied to the table and for 10 minutes, nobody came to ask for any order. We finally called her and ordered Wiener schnitzel, 3 portions. What we received was hardly edible, not very fresh veal meat, impossible to cut or chew, with a cucumber creamy salad without any seasoning, no taste at all. The meal was simply horrible, disgusting. We got a big bottle of mineral water, the waitress gave us a sip and left the bottle on a separate table and ignored the fact our glasses were empty. She only came with the bill. Absolutely awful experience, terrible food and pathetic service. What a shame. One of the guests was a world famous violin star who performed that same day in Lucerna with his orchestra.

Excelent services, excelent dinner. The best steak I've ever had in my life and a side dish of amazingly balanced flavours. The appetizer and dessert just complete the concert of flavors. Business trip - all4fun.cz.

If you are looking for a design restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere in the center of Prague, the Alcron Restaurant is one of the best!
The service was more than perfect, even the chef himself stopped by to ask how we enjoyed it.
And it was really tasty!
We love to come back here. The new plant-forward menu is divine! It's not just food, it's a true work of art.
After dinner we had drink at a local bar. Did you know that each cocktail has a name and a story from the history of the hotel's founders?!

The restaurant is a wonderful place looks dated on ground floor of Alcron hotel. Due to architecture and equipment and even atmosphere our are back in history, so pleasant. The lunch was perfect, tasteful as well as nice for eyes, the staff attentive and very friendly. We understood that a lunch menu is served every day at a very reasonable price. Worth of going !

We went here on our first night in Prague and it will be hard for any restaurant to live up to this sort of food. The service as impeccable attentive but never too much. The food was wonderful and very well balanced. The were options for gluten free and when our mise en bouche arrived it had croutons in it which my wife could not have, well it was taken straight back and one without croutons appeared. The potato gnocchi was a delight and the desserts were simply wonderful, the white chocolate bar with homemade salted caramel ice cream and rhe selection of sorbets finished our meal in style. Thanyou to everybody concerned.

First time in Prague and played safe by booking ahead for a special birthday meal. Have to say from start to finish, the restaurant have been totally attentive and booked a potentially raucous table of 7 in with seem less ease. Service here was impeccable with the team David,Martin and Domanik looking after us with great service. Food was excellent and a nice wine list. Great start to our evening. Will be back 👍
