For October of 2019. We were there occasionally, after whole day of impressions. Waiting time was not long, food fresh and tasty. Service level high despite of late time, about 11PM.

When we walked in here, it didn't seem like a tourist place and was more like a locals bar? Friendly service, good beers and a nice vibe in the place.

We came by the restaurant and it had room to fit us in without a booking so we grabbed a table. We were seated around the back but that was probably because we had a toddler with us. The menu was both in Czech and...English so we just picked a few things to share including the platter. We grabbed the Old Town platter since we wanted to try the pork hock. The food was quite nice and was very filling. The pork tenderloin was one of the more expensive and smaller dishes. It felt like a pub rather than a restaurant but the atmosphere was fairly casual.More

We chose this restaurant as we wanted to try svíćková and we were not disappointed. The meat was perfectly cooked, the sauce was amazing and the combination of cranberry jelly and cream was as delicious as it was surprising. Added to that the bread dumplings...were excellent and the beer was delicious. I commend this place to everyone visiting Prague.More

Food was good for how much it was but the waiters were pretty rude and disinterested. They didn’t mention anywhere that the payment could only be made by cash and then didn’t really offer any solutions (they just say they don’t really care and pull...faces).They have the option to pay in euros but their Kč exchange rate is of 22Kč = 1 euro when normally it’s around 24/25 and they only give the change back in Kč.More

Food was ok, but one of the waiters was mean and extremely rude with us. You shouldn’t treat your clients this way!!

Stumbled upon this restaurant one evening whilst we had to kill time before a tour. It looked busy, which is usually a good sign. We came in, saw tables available & yet all the waiters ignored us. Eventually one said we could get a table...downstairs. First time, the food was ok & service was fairly decent once someone took notice of us. Decided on our last night to come again because there were other items on the menu we wanted to try. Disaster. We came in & again waited ages to be seated, completely being ignored. I went downstairs & saw open tables only to be told very abruptly & pushed to one side no tables available. My group wanted to stay, and again waited & being ignored. Eventually got seated, and the waiter that actually had to wait our table visibly upset that he has to serve our table. The waitress was lovely, but the waiters have an attitude problem. Based on other reviews, seems like this places dislikes tourists. If want to ruin your view of Prague, eat here. Otherwise avoid!More

We ate here at dinner and we chose it because it was very close to our hotel. Once entered we found a very nice place, the waitress wasn't so friendly but fortunately we got served by a tall waiter which was very funny and try...to talk in italian with us. We decided to eat a goulash and the typical fillet steak with dumpligs blueberrys and cream, all was very tasty and well coocked. We drinked a good beer and we paid like 700CCK. They didn't include the tip so I asked why and the tall waiter said "it was my choice to decide if I want to pay the tip or not" I decided to pay also the tip. All in all we ate very good and the serving was good.More

It was our last day in Prague and we wanted to have nice Czech food. We ordered pork knuckle and roast duck, it was superb. However, when we order draft beer, the gentleman seemed to have misheard dark beer, and we told him when we...were served the dark beer. He kinda raised his voice and said, ‘no! you ordered dark beer, this is dark beer!’ i said we ordered draft beer and not dark beer, lager to be specific. He just walked off. We called upon another gentleman and explained to him the situation, he mentioned that we have to speak to the original gentleman in-charged of our table, guess it’s a turf issue. So he called upon the original gentleman, and he sort of raised his voice again, then walked off. 1 minute later, he swooped the dark beer away and came back with lager without saying a word. Upon asking for the bill, he mentioned that tip was not included in the bill. That was when we were really put to the test. We gave a good tip nonetheless, not for his poor and arrogant attitude, but we didn’t want to jeopardize his livelihood. It was a difficult decision to make, but we chose to make someone’s day.More

It's not our first and definitely not the last visit here - good food with fair prices, kind staff and very nice place - worth visiting. For vegetarians: knedliky and smazeny syr with tararska omacka are great!
