Nice little spot for lunch and a cold beer while touring the area. The food menu was quite limited but we enjoyed what we had. The pub is very clean and bright with outdoor seating available. Our server was prompt and friendly. Most importantly for me, the beer was ice cold and very good. Definitely recommend.

A must if in Prague

Couldn’t rate this restaurant any higher. It is an absolute must if you visit Prague but I would recommend booking in advance. My husband has the pork knuckle on 2 occasions and I had the chicken schnitzel with fries and the most amazing garlic mayo. We booked our table with Lucas who reserved it for us and also on 2nd night, he was very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing for the over 200 beers they stock.

Just got back from pivovarsky klub and had to write a review to tell people how good it was as the reviews got me there.The food was outstanding.The roast Pork knuckle was lovely. The garlic bread was different but lovely. 4 soft drinks 2 starters 2 mains 1 dessert £30 unbelievable value It also has 260 beers so what more do you want when visiting Prague.

What a place! Delicious traditional food and a huge selection of beers! We tried the sausage in dark beer sauce, smoked breast of duck, roast pork knuckle,...everything was great!. Friendly staff, specially Lucaś, so funny and nice guy!. 10000000% recommended!

A little gem

Visited today early evening, it was busy but we were able to get a table.we tried some great beers. We also tried the menu, the guide book said average but I think they are mistaken! The food was fabulous very traditional and what I would describe as comfort food. If you are ever in the area you have to try it.

Great event for large group

I would love to recommend this restaurant if you also search to host a bigger group (ours was around 50 people). Everything was so well prepared, we were all seated downstairs which had great atmosphere. The food was really tasty and most of all the excellent staff took such an amazing care of us. Everyone was really satisfied and happy. Thank you for being so professional and welcoming.

We booked a table in advance for lunch time. They arrived exactly on time. We were shown a reserved table, but were immediately asked to go down to the hall on the floor below, citing heavy workload. Otherwise the service was great. Of course, the men ordered boar knee. Having read reviews about huge portions, we took one for two. When they brought the plate with the order, we realized that there wasn’t much to share after all. It’s well prepared, but it can’t be compared to German knuckle: less meat, more fat. The side dish included sauerkraut (about 2 tbsp), horseradish and mustard. We also ordered beef goulash in beer sauce, with dumplings. The dumplings are large, there is a lot of sauce, and there is not enough meat to satisfy your taste buds exclusively with this dish. The beer is excellent, just like in any other bar. You can recommend pivovarskij klub Benedikt only if you are nearby; you shouldn’t go there specifically.

Wanted a place to grab local beer and something to eat. Found this pub. While english dialogue was a bit challenged, the food and service were excellent. My wife had the passion fruit sour (beer), and she usually doesn't drink beer. She enjoyed it. I had two different on tap beers. You get info on style, bitterness (IBU), and % alcohol. They have great options. We had four appetizers in lieu of dinner. The pork belly and roasted almonds were superb. Highly recommend this location if you are in Prague Karlin district (Prague 8).

Atmosphere has changed

Sign of the times.. no more largest choice of canned and bottled bees in Prague. Gone are the collection of bottle openers n the window, gone are the high tables and chairs......leaving a much cleaner look but a loss n atmosphere That said service and on tap offers still intact but a fairly limited menu..and the most disappointing....no more potato pancakes with cabbage... : ( Other than the 6-7 specialty beers on top..it has become just another Czech restaurant. No real reason to bring guests here any longer.

Excellent taste of Czechia

Warm service and very welcoming. We don’t speak any Czech but the staff were very accommodating and they do have English menus. We had the Benedict light beer and a white IPA which were excellent. We also tried our first Goulash here after reading positive reviews, and it did not disappoint. Tender meat, rich sauce and the perfect dumplings to mop it all up. Would recommend.

Find an alternative - missed the mark

Went based on recent trip advisor reviews. Waiting staff young and friendly enough. Ordered a glass of wine (not great) and a beer. Waiter set the table with cutlery as he heard us talking about food. We laughed. My husband ordered goulash and I ordered a chicken special. The food came out in literally five minutes - not exactly prepared freshly for us! It was lukewarm in places, stone cold in others, the sauce on the goulash had congealed with a skin. Really awful. Ummmed and aahed (not wanting to fuss) and decided to tell waiter. He took away plates and then came back to query, saying plates were warm……well, not exactly, and the food wasn’t. Less than five minutes later, two more plates arrived. Just as bad. We lied, out of a cross between politeness and awkwardness. Ate the disappointing food and finished the drinks. Waitress asked if we wanted a dessert the moment she took the plates away…..no thank you. She took the glasses at the last sip and offered the bill. We said no, so we sat at an empty table awkwardly. Got the bill and paid in cash. She asked about a tip. Ummmm, no. In and out in about 30-40 minutes flat! If you want a relaxed meal out with warm food, find an alternative.

Perfect beer restaurant for real beer lovers

This restaurant is really nice, downstairs is really cozy atmosphere for private events. The staff is friendly and helpful. We tasted different types of czech beer and we had a special beer tasting with the brewer Aleš. He knows everything about beer, dont hesitate to ask him. The food is great, my absolutely favourite one is the pancake with strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

Good Czech food and a choice of hundreds of different types of beers: you have to go to Pivovarský Klub for that. This restaurant is located in Prague's railway station area, but don't let the slightly gloomy place stop you. The food here is very good and the staff will be happy to help you choose a nice beer. They have 6 different beers on tap as standard.

Great find

Highly recommend. They were able to sneak us in early before many reservations. We had venison with rose hip sauce and goulash with a dumpling. The sauces are spot-on perfection. The bread a delicious accompaniment. I’m glad we stopped in and hope we are able to stop back once more before leaving Prague.
