As we arrived, a group of four, we were seated, given menus and it was a great start all around. However once the waiter began to ask what we would like to drink, problems began piling up. The attitude of the waiter was very dismissive,...disregarding and cold. It was as if he was quite fed up with his work perhaps? We quickly began to feel unwelcome. Before I begin I want the reader to keep in mind: The restaurant at the time of our dining was almost empty. 2-4 other people were dining in addition to our group of 4. So there definitely was no rush. The waiter seemed to be in quite a hurry to always get away from us. He spoke English, but in such a rush and slur that even my friends who were the most fluent in English (me included) found it so very hard to understand almost anything that was said. If one was to ask a question about something the waiter was very quick to just storm off somewhere instead of asking for specifications on the matter and to just be of service and help to us. Our drinks were brought to us, but not poured for us. For such a price I believe waiters should at least pour the drinks for the diners. I had Liver pâté and a medium rare 250g rib-eye steak with mashed potatoes, which was lovely but honestly it could have been a lot better for the price it cost. One of my friends had the same steak but 450g medium. We compared our steaks and his was obviously more pink than mine, mine being almost more closer to above medium and his closer to medium rare, but his was very inconsistently cooked. When my friends bigger steak was brought to him the waiter put on a little show by cutting it then and there in front of us and then sprinkling sea salt so generously that it flew all over the table and also a little bit into the foods of my friends nearest to the waiter. He did not come back at any point to clean up the mess. We dined to the end on a table sprinkled in sea salt. Again all of this was done in such a fuzz and rush that we all were left feeling cold and unwelcome due to the attitude and harshness of the waiter. I asked what whiskeys they've got and I was told to look around at the shelves around us. The waiter did not say this in a comedic way whatsoever. This was his serious answer to my question. This answer officially made me feel like a bug under the shoe of the waiter. An annoyance. I asked for a list or a menu of the whiskeys and was given a thick list of all the whiskeys available, except the waiter told us that the menu is old and not accurate to their current selection. Again he storms off somewhere without an explanation and before I get a chance to ask what he meant specifically. At this point my trust in their service and care had dropped so low that I didn't care to ask for any recommendations on the whiskeys and just went for something that was familiar to me. He comes back after some time and I inquire about some whiskeys and he gives me a frustrated smile and says "Yes, well I will have to go and check." But of course you do, how else could you know about the whiskeys in question!? Again I felt like the waiter was indeed very fed up with his work or something of the sort. We have our whiskeys but we don't feel comfortable staying for much longer. We pay for our meals separately and decided to not tip. I inform the waiter that I will not be tipping this time. I pay with cash and get 200-300 CZK back almost entirely in 2 CZK and 5 CZK coins. A ridiculous pile handed to me accompanied with a wide smile and a stare straight into my eyes. This was the last straw and I officially decided to let others know of my experience in this establishment, which is something I have never felt the need to do.More

Lovely food and lovely staff, the venue looks amazing. We did not book but I would imagine this place gets very busy during holiday season.

We were in Prague to attend a scientific meeting. We met up with an associate at this place as we wanted something a bit nicer and healthier than the usual Czech fare. This place hit the spot with excellent vegetarian options and beautifully prepared food...and drink. It's pricier but it's worth it.More

Nice restaurant/bar in the hearth of the city. Decent food and very nice atmosphere, we didnt use the bar but looks a very cool place where spend the after dinner.

The ambiance, service and quality of this place is beyond normal! You want to stay here all night! I felt almost unworthy!

The staff was great, the food was very good, it was an expierence with my son we had a great time. The atmosphere was good too.

Despite the fact it specifies on the website that they cater to Vegans, the waiter laughed when I asked what vegan options they had. The waitress at the bar wasn't friendly either, every smile was met with a scowl. My starter- the mushrooms were very...salty with not many flavours apart from that. Four of us visited W for an evening that was centred around the multitude of whisky/whiskey on offer. Food menu was very varied and accommodated a vegetarian in our group. Hearty food and for us all, a main course was sufficient. Great wine choice and...we were able to find a number of whiskies of very good quality, and at very good prices.More

I tried dinner at W restaurant it was an amazing experience the steaks were very nice high quality of meet and nice selection of wines. If you are a whiskey lover this place is a must, with almost 1000 different types of whiskey to taste....Very friendly and professional staff in a simple stylish decoration and lounge music.More

Good evening, We had a ‘reserved’ table at your restaurant this evening at 20:00h. We were very much looking forward to dining with you, as well as being able to taste your selection of fine whisky. So, when we arrived , we were made to...feel very unwelcome, we were placed on dark table (unprepared) near the entrance opposite a cupboard. We initially thought that this was whilst you were preparing our table …. It wasn’t! When we asked for a better table to dine, we were informed by your waitress that she had been told there are no tables, even though we explained that we had made a reservation. We have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world, on a regular basis; and we have to say that this is one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Everything from the minute we walked into the restaurant, including the short, uncomfortable stay before we decided to walk away. You should be ashamed of this poor service. As I said, we were looking forward to a lovely evening at your restaurant; and you ruined it for us. Fortunately. Very disappointed indeed.More

The food was very decent! Good Meat n drinks. But we waited 1 hour for the desert. It’s okay there are some delay but the waiter’s has completely forgot us. So when he asked for a tip I Simple reply no. For me I give...tip when the service is good! Not only the food! If u pay 5.000 for dinner the food should always be on point! But no tip if service isn’t there! But he was kind of mad and that ruined the experience! That’s why I only give 2 of 5More
