Came across Papa's by accident and called in for a late night snack. Staff were super friendly and fresh pizza's straight out of their pizza oven as you wait. Decent wine list and all reasonable prices considering location.

Great place to eat, in or out away from the madding crowd. Felt very welcome and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. Very good food.
Enjoyed the meal and service. Even the wife enjoyed the Chicken schnitzel!! Deserts are home made too!@
Nice decoration, good service, good Italian wine and food. A great place for friends dinner. Need to take a reservation.
During my holidays in Prag I was eating twice in this restaurant. I tried two pizzas: one pizza was with parma ham and rucola and the second one was with mixed chesses. Both were delicious. The service was quick and professional and there was a...great atmosphere ! The place is situated in the old town and its easy to find. I recommend this italian restaurant!More
We had spaghetti bolognese, bohemian gullasch soup and salads - all was fine. Nicely located on a corner street - good for watching passing-by people. Service average Prague standard.
I visited it last year. tried great beer (staropramen nefiltrovany) and we had fun with staff. We are from Croatia and we understood each other,it was great!
We have been to this restaurant twice now and it was great both times. We both ate pizzas that were freshly made in a pizza oven. The crust of the pizza was lovely and I'm usually not a fan, but it tasted like freshly made...bread. The wine was tasty and the prosecco was fruity - some of the best I've tasted. The service was very good and the price was very reasonable. We paid 700 roughly the first night for 2 pizzas, 2 glasses of prosecco, 2 half litres of beer and a large sparkling water. Amazing value.More
Food was delicious, service quick and professional. The waiter was able to speak with us in english and in italian. Very interesting design with different furnitures and beautiful stylized chairs. It was good choice to have a dinner in this place.
i made a point to order typical Czech food and was disappointed by the lack of taste - 1) potato pancakes filled with sauerkraut and smoked pork (to find the pork , one needed a magnifying glass) 2) a kind of gulasch (beef stew) with...a bland sauce and dumplings - the bread dumpling were white and tasteless, unlike Semmelknoedel, which customarily are somewhat similar to turkey stuffing made into a ball - anyhow - my enthusiasm for a repeat visit weaned after these 2 tries, despite its next door convenience to my accomodation - eatable food, if u are hungry - decently priced - nice setting - open late -More
We had a great evening at Papa Giovanni. The food and service are top notch, particularly considering that this restaurant is in a location not too far from Old Town Square. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite nice too. We enjoyed the caprese appetizer...(delicious bread!), pesto, tortelloni, an excellent bottle of wine, and some coffee. I cannot recall the total price, but we were pleased by it. I highly recommend Papa Giovanni!More
Our daughter and boyfriend had recommended Papa Giovanni and we were not disappointed. It has a good welcoming friendly atmosphere with good Italian food at good prices particularly as it is only about 100 yards from the Old Square. We eat here two out of...our three nights and enjoyed our meals both times. Pizzas are large with thin crispy bases with all the usual offerings including Calzoni. Pastas are very good, I particularly liked the Lasagne; one unusual pasta which my wife enjoyed is a moussaka lasagne with potatoes (lasagne di patate). Try the dark beer, it is really good.More
We had just left the square after seeing the astronomical clock and were looking for somewhere for lunch when we found this wonderful little restaurant on Melantrichova. We had two delicious perfect thin crust authentic pizzas with wine and beer and it was stunning. It...was very reasonably priced especially considering its location. Couldn't recommend it highly enough - people were piling through the door!More
The pizza here is excelent but they have to work on their salads
Me and my mom were to Prague and found most of the food pretty greasy so it was nice to find this fresh restaurant in the absolute centre of the city. The service was great and the interior design was brilliant. I had the vegetarian...pizza and my mom had some chickensoup and we were both very delighted. If I go back to Prague this is the first restaurant I would visit. The price was about the same as at the other restaurants closeby, only that the food was ten times better! I couldn't recommend it more.More
