I'm trying to figure out what was the good side of that restaurant. The place looks nice, and that's all. The waiters are blazed and arrogant, and that isn't something weird since the service fee is added to the check - so why care. About the check... you'll not get it in a printed form, which I really don't care... More

Ordered soup, and pork steak. Both were ok but not that tasty, pork was overdone, dry and not that juice as described in the menu. They serve Pilsner Urquell which I tried for the first time and noticed they bring not really 0.5l, they pour a little less, cheating a little. In general it is average beer restaurant with ok... Nice atmosphere, and it's near by the castle, so after a good walk it could be good idea. The meal were good and we can say there were cheap, but we had to wait more than 35minutes. To tell the truth, the bill was a little bit more than supposed (we didn't order bread, but we got)

I was in this restaurant today with a 1 y old child. I ordered Chicken brest steak . We waited for it about 1 hour and the steak it was so tiny and few potatoes. It was look like this portion is for children not for adult.

Quite a while after we sat down a waitress came to the table - she was instantly extremely rude (smirking at me as I ordered) She then brought the wrong food to the table and argued with us about what we had ordered for a long time. She finally left with the food and brought me what I wanted but... More

This is a wonderful pub and restaurant that is located in the fantastic Mala Strana district ( little quarter) which is an area packed with pubs, bars and restaurants and a major tourist destination. The interior of this multi roomed pub is awesome, arched ceilings, heavy wood tables and chairs, nice decor and a superb terrace which on our visit was packed but... More

Were not impressed with the food at all, meat did not even taste like proper meat. There were big pretzels on the table we tasted one they charged us for it. Drinks ok and some locals seem to like it there as an after work place. Popular dish seemed to be very large ribs of some sort.

Craving for food and liquids we ended up here; a huge pub style restaurant below Prague castle. They serve all sorts of western style foods, some Czech originals and a pretty good homemade lemonade. We won't come back here but we could refuel, what was the purpose anyway...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
