Come for lunch. Party of 4. The 2 ladies ordered the only soup of the day available on the menu. The rest ordered beef and chicken. When the waiter/manager took order from the ladies, he almost yelled at them “ONLY SOUP” then “MEAT OR ONION”....When time for him to serve the drinks, he dropped our two drafts of beer, did not bother to pour the water from the bottle to the glass as a two star restaurant waiter would do. Funny that at the end, he loudly pointed at the 20% tip button on his credit card machine and told us “YOU NEED TO PRESS”. Well, hardly to say that he deserved any. A fast food employee is more professional than this. Terrible service. The broth based soup is Ok. The fried chicken breast also. Nothing special.More
We've been coming to this restaurant several times over the last years, as it offers great Czech food at very affordable prices. On Easter day we paid a visit and, despite the place being very full, they managed to find us a table and we...were served rather quickly. We ordered a grilled duck and Svickova; the meals were delicious, served piping-hot, portions large and the waiters were very efficient and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our time and we were happy to have chosen once again this unpretentious yet lovely restaurant.More
Fantastic food, great service and very polite waiters. The place is classically decorated and the background music was gentle and slow, creating the perfect vibe for a lunch in the heart of Prague.
My girlfriend and I went to a nearby restaurant but, disliking their special offers, we remembered visiting U labuti a few years ago and loving it, so we took the decision of heading there for dinner. The place is 2-min by walk from the castle,...has several indoor rooms and various outdoor tables, where we decided to stay. The place was empty on a Friday evening, but that didn't discourage us and we were greeted by friendly waiters and ordered a Svickova (the waiter recommended it to me) and a Duck leg. The food was lovely, price very fair for both the quantity and quality of what we were served, and we overall spent a lovely evening. This place definitely deserves a larger crowd!More
Great find indeed ! In all those years coming to Prague we somehow missed this restaurant. We had more time to explore the Castle area at night, since we were staying nearby in the Hotel Savoy for part of our trip. The location of the...restaurant on the Hradcanske Square across from the Schwarzenberk Palace made it super easy to walk back to the hotel at night after dinner. It is especially nice when the area clears out from the hordes of tourists We loved the beautiful dining room , the well prepared Czech food, beer and above all, the very friendly service. Till next time, Dekuji a NashledanouMore
Popped in after a tour of the castle and were impressed by the pleasant setting and hearty food. Enjoyed the pork medallions in plum sauce and beef with dumplings. Washed down with local beer and wine, it was a very good value find
We were pleased by the quality of food and service provided U Labuti. Apparently we were confused by TA, as this place was listed as mid-range, but in our opinion this restauraunt is rather moderately priced compared to other nice restaurants in Prague and especially...given its location, which is just a minute walk from Western entrance to Prazsky Hrad.More
We were looking for a place to have supper after touring the Prague castle. Just happen into this restaurant and was very impressed. Had the gnocchi and it was melt in your mouth. The service was very professional and polite. The apple strudel is a...must.More
I was recommended this place by the guy on the reception at my hotel and ended up visiting on my first night. Very friendly staff all had a smile on their faces - felt welcomed and could see them interacting well with other customers too....I didn't have to wait to be attended - had a lovely Czech beer in my hand in no time. The menu was in English with clear descriptions (I wanted to eat Czech food), and when it came, it was delicious. Again, I was never left sitting twiddling my thumbs, and had another beer before leaving (I had travelled on my own). Highly recommended and only about 100 metres from the entrance to Prague castle. I went for a second visit the night before I flew home and everything was just as good as the first visit.More
This was a nice lunch close to the castle. Just a few feet away from its front doors. It was very inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. We started with freshly fried potato chips, which came with a BBQ sauce and garlic sauce....The BBQ sauce was just average but the garlic sauce was great. I had the bacon wrapped pork medallions with plum sauce as my meal. Wish I had more of that plum sauce, it was so good. My 2 friends also enjoyed their meals. This wasn’t my favorite meal that I had in Prague, there are so many outstanding options, but this was a really nice lunch. If you’re looking for something very close to the castle, you can go wrong here.More
We originally had reservations for The restaurant that overlooks the city but they had made a mistake with our reservations, so we decided to look elsewhere. As we were about to walk back down the hill we noticed this restaurant and went to check out...the menu It had something for everyone so we decided to go in and sat at a few tables in the courtyard very peaceful and lovely. Service was decent the usual for Prague they are not ever too warm but they get the job done. We tried the dish that had duck, pork and sausage with two types of cabbage I would highly recommend the combination plate We also had the schnitzel everything was tasty and fresh Washrooms were clean and they have a lovely courtyard in the back but was not being used on this evening I would say definitely give it a try it has a lovely setting and wasn’t overpriced at allMore
Wanted a tasty traditional dishes. The goulash meat was tough and the sauce uninteresting; I felt it could have come from a can. Disappointed.
Quick service, lovely surroundings, typical Czech food you can’t go wrong!!!! I ordered pork medallions served with a plum sauce and a salad, food served really quickly Strongly recommended!
Tucked in right next to the Prague Castle, amazing little bar that’s made by the amazing service of all staff memebers! Great prices and the food looked good as well, perfect stop after the tours!
